"Once I realized I no longer needed to compare myself to the Outside World, my troubled heart completely calmed down, and only then did I begin to face myself."
"Strangely enough, after learning all this, I naturally gained control over the power inside my body."
"When I thought I needed to pass an assessment, I couldn't master it."
"But once I learned there was no assessment, I mastered it. It just happened naturally."
"That thorn seemed to have always been one I drove into myself. I confined myself to competing against the Outside World and couldn't face who I really was."
"Letting go only took an instant."
As Delta Three recounted his past, he looked up at the ceiling.
"Later, I was assigned here to manage the restaurant. It was my dream job, and the goal I had always worked toward."
"Now that I think about it, comparing myself to the other trainees never seemed all that important... Now that I've escaped that situation, I feel that my former insecure self was somewhat childish."
"I never expected that I wouldn't even be able to understand my past self anymore. How strange."
"Have you ever felt that way?"
Delta Three suddenly looked at Li Luo and asked earnestly.
"No." Li Luo shook her head. "I've never felt inferior."
Hearing Li Luo's answer, Delta Three smiled awkwardly.
Perhaps because he was too lonely in this hotel and had no one to talk to, he had said so much to Li Luo.
Li Luo was indeed a very good listener. She did not interrupt or judge him, merely listening quietly until he had finished.
"You said that at first, you didn't know any skills, and the Instructor taught you everything?"
"Yes. The Instructor treated us very well and taught us everything he knew."
