"Where does their food come from? Do they go downstairs to eat?"

The moss on the ground was edible, but only for herbivores. What about these omnivores and carnivores? If they did not attack other creatures, where did they get enough energy?

Mo Ling recalled the Brown Bear from before. Its whole body had been chubby, its belly round enough to nearly hang to the ground. The two Field Mice perched on its shoulders had been as fat as balls. They clearly did not look short on food—if anything, they seemed overnourished.

"If food is plentiful, they really would be less aggressive."

But where did their food come from?

Realizing something was wrong, Mo Ling hurriedly made the Cube shake, trying to get Li Luo's attention. But she still stared straight ahead as though lost in thought, completely unresponsive to the Cube's movements.
