Mo Ling followed Xiao Hei Dog through the hazy light and shadows, arriving at a rather strange place.
Directly in front of him was a square opening. Just as the Servants had described, it looked very much like an "Elevator Entrance."
Yet the inside of the Elevator Entrance was completely empty, pitch-black, sharply contrasting with the still-glowing lights of the Screening Room around it.
Mo Ling's heart skipped a beat as he looked at the black opening.
"Did they really go in there?"
Mo Ling looked at Xiao Hei Dog. It was already circling the "Elevator Entrance," barking excitedly, seemingly eager for Mo Ling to follow it inside.
"The passage from the Banquet Hall to the Screening Room seemed to be like this too, except the opening was on the floor. It should be fine..."
After thinking for a while, Mo Ling decided to go in and take a look.
After passing through the "Elevator Entrance," the surroundings seemed to change again. The original darkness suddenly lit up, while the brightly lit place behind him abruptly turned black, as if black and white had reversed. Mo Ling found himself in a vast white space, and only after seeing clearly did he realize he had entered a white "box."
Mo Ling froze. "It really is an elevator?"
However, this elevator was rather strange. It had no actual mechanical structure; instead, the contrast between "black and white" marked the boundaries of space. It was crude and bizarre.
Just as Mo Ling marveled at the wonder of this place's spatial structure, the Black and White Elevator's "doors" suddenly "closed." Two beams of white light moved inward from either side of the Elevator Entrance, completely sealing Mo Ling inside the small box.
