Abandoned City

"What exactly destroyed this city?"

It did not seem like any single disaster, nor was there any discernible pattern.

After this city had become ruins, had all its inhabitants been wiped out? Or had they fled elsewhere?

Mo Ling looked at the strange ruins, the doubts in his heart growing ever heavier.

He was somewhat worried that whatever had destroyed this city was still lurking within it. He had drifted through the air for so long and still had not reached the city center. Although he was moving slowly, that was enough to show how vast this city was. Those towering remains of buildings clearly had not formed overnight; the city must have developed over a long period as well.

Judging from the objects within the building ruins, those "residents" had also lived in this city for a long time. Signs of daily life were everywhere, except they had all been buried beneath thick dust and obscured by those terrifying traces of destruction.

Within this enormous city, among the chaotic ruins, something dangerous might still be hidden.

With that thought, Mo Ling became even more cautious. He lowered his flight altitude and moved along the tops of the ruins, carefully observing his surroundings as he went.

As he passed an abandoned cluster of buildings, he extended his vision inside as usual, hoping to find useful information. Instead, he discovered something that should not have been there...

Mo Ling checked several more times before finally confirming that it was not some kind of model.

"Humans?"

Behind thick, unbroken glass curtain walls, Mo Ling found two motionless humans.

They were wrapped tightly from head to toe in all kinds of clothing. At first glance, Mo Ling had thought they were two piles of tattered clothes.
