• Coloration: Purple in his initial form, later bearing a dark-purple keratinous carapace with corrosive slime across its surface 1 20.
• Head: Enormous jaws packed with dense, sharp teeth; crown-like bone spikes above the head and two demonic horns beside the cheeks 4 6.

Personality

Cho'Gath is intensely loyal to Yu Tianlong, repeatedly placing his master's safety above feeding or his own survival. During the Huo Yun Leopard hunt, he postpones eating to guard the injured Yu Tianlong; against the Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear, he continues restraining the enemy despite grievous wounds so his master can escape 9 10.

His intelligence develops faster than his common sense. Early misjudgments of enemy strength repeatedly endanger them, while his attempts to imitate human behavior produce exaggerated bashfulness and jealousy. He complains about being left in an empty space and worries that Yu Tianlong no longer needs him 7 15.

Experience makes him more cautious. After a Red Scorpion Snake deceives him by playing dead, he makes certain that the Huo Yun Leopard cannot counterattack before releasing it. His moral understanding remains dependent on Yu Tianlong's guidance: he accepts the rule that they must not eat anyone who has shown them kindness, despite only partly understanding the reasoning 9 23.

History

Awakening and Forest Training

Cho'Gath awakens as the tiny bug Martial Soul whose apparent weakness leads to Yu Tianlong's expulsion from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Yu Tianlong recognizes his identity and discovers through feeding experiments that he can grow by devouring Soul Power-bearing life. They travel to the Star Dou Great Forest, where purchased Soul Beast corpses trigger Cho'Gath's first major evolutions 1 2 3 4.

Their early hunts establish a partnership built around Cho'Gath restraining prey while Yu Tianlong exploits openings. Encounters with the Fang Flame Hound, Cave Demon Spider, and Huo Yun Leopard expose their weaknesses and encourage more careful hunting and broader attribute development 6 7 8 9.

After two years, a Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear attacks while Cho'Gath is already badly wounded following a Gale Lion hunt. Cho'Gath holds it back to protect Yu Tianlong. An outside roar drives the bear away, allowing Yu Tianlong to recall him before collapsing; Qian Renxue's party rescues his master 10.

Patronage and Heaven Dou

Yu Tianlong reveals Cho'Gath's physical existence and devouring-based evolution to Qian Renxue while negotiating her support, but conceals his ability to consume Soul Masters. His unusual Martial Soul and three purple Soul Rings later help impress Emperor Xue Ye and Ning Fengzhi into offering titles and resources 12 13 16.

Cho'Gath fights alongside Yu Tianlong against Liu Erlong, using coordinated Soul Skills and restraints to wound her despite the rank disparity. Once Yu Tianlong exhausts his teleportation reserves, Cho'Gath blocks her advance and suffers a severe beating. The fight confirms to Yu Tianlong that Cho'Gath is family rather than merely a Martial Soul 20 21 22.

Academy Growth and Yu Tianheng's Defeat

Support from their patrons enables the Soul Bone evolution and subsequent fruit enhancement. At Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Cho'Gath also begins receiving Ten-Thousand-Year flying Soul Beasts to pursue a possible winged evolution 29 30 31 37 38.

During Yu Tianlong's Soul Fight with Yu Tianheng, Cho'Gath overwhelms his opponent through size, teleportation, and restraint. On Yu Tianlong's order, he uses bone spikes to mutilate Yu Tianheng before releasing him to Qin Ming; Ye Lingling then provides treatment 42 43.
