• Zweilous battled Medicham, using Dark Pulse to knock it out after both heads bit Medicham’s arms and endured a Low Kick.
• Korrina sent out Lucario, but Zweilous’s bickering heads turned on each other and were recalled before they could continue fighting.
• Xiaoyun’s disguised Zoroark easily countered Korrina’s Lucario, and Mega Lucario exposed its disguise by sensing its sinister Aura.

After defeating Korrina and confirming she passed the Shalour Gym assessment, Xiaoyun agreed to serve as a battle instructor at Professor Sycamore’s Pokémon summer camp. He announced the camp’s battle events and chose Sawyer for a friendly match, where Sawyer revealed his evolved Grovyle.

• Professor Sycamore held a fishing contest, where Bonnie caught a Gyarados and won by a wide margin.
• Professor Sycamore taught the campers about Mega Evolution, and Ash asked whether Pikachu could Mega Evolve before he and Serena were caught dozing.
• Xiaoyun organized a 3v3 crystal attack-and-defense match between Clemont, Trevor, and Sawyer’s blue team and Ash, Serena, and Tierno’s red team.

Xiaoyun, Dawn, Sanpei, and Barry passed a referee’s Pokémon battle test before fishing at Azure Bay in search of rare Pokémon. After Skrelp appeared disguised as seaweed, Dawn caught it and added the Elite Stage Pokémon to her team.

• Sanpei drew against the referee’s Swampert, and Eevee used Anticipation to dodge Rock Smash and knock Swampert out with Iron Tail.
• Dawn passed the battle test without fighting after the referee saw her Red Gyarados and refused to battle it.
• Xiaoyun, Dawn, Sanpei, and Barry went fishing near the reefs; Xiaoyun caught Tentacool, while Sanpei and Barry encountered a Krabby and a Basculin.

Dawn caught Skrelp, Barry caught Clawitzer, and Sanpei caught Binacle before Xiaoyun finally reeled in an injured Dratini. Dratini led Xiaoyun and his friends to an island where poachers were attacking its father, Dragonite, and the chapter ended as Dratini rushed back to save him.

• Dawn caught Skrelp and won its trust with a pink soufflé, while Barry caught Clawitzer and Sanpei caught Binacle.
• After hours of fishing, Xiaoyun caught an injured Dratini and learned that its family was in danger on a nearby island.
• Xiaoyun, Dawn, Barry, and Sanpei traveled to the island and found Snake and his poachers capturing Skrelp and Dragalge while attacking Dragonite.

• Xiaoyun and Dawn used Roserade and Greninja to interrupt the Ariados, and the freed Skrelp and Dragalge beat Snake before Officer Jenny arrested the poachers.
• Dragonite explained that it and Dratini had left their home to seek refuge, so Xiaoyun, Dawn, Barry, and Sanpei followed Dragonite toward Sea God's Den.
• The group crossed thick fog and reached an island where a volcano, snowy peak, and stormy mountain stood together.
• Moltres emerged from the volcano, followed by Gouging Fire, whose appearance reminded Xiaoyun of Entei.

Xiaoyun and the others watched Gouging Fire battle Moltres before Zapdos and Raging Bolt joined the fight, turning the volcanic summit into a clash between Paradox Pokémon and Legendary Birds. As Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire gained the upper hand, Articuno finally appeared from the snowy mountain.

• Gouging Fire used Burning Bulwark to absorb Moltres's Burn Up, then fought back with Dragon Rush and Flare Blitz, injuring Moltres and driving it from the volcano summit.
• Rotom identified the unknown Pokémon as Gouging Fire, an ancient Fire- and Dragon-type Pokémon suspected to be a variant of Entei.

Walking Wake joined the battle and fought Dawn, Barry, and Sanpei while Xiaoyun's Suicune battled Articuno. Suicune froze Articuno and came to Dawn's aid, but Walking Wake faced down Suicune alongside Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt.

• Walking Wake emerged from the sea, and Xiaoyun's Suicune appeared before challenging Articuno's attack.
• Dawn, Barry, and Sanpei fought Walking Wake, but it defeated Greninja and Empoleon before Dawn Mega Evolved Gyarados.
• Suicune defeated Articuno with Absolute Freezing Air, freezing it in a block of ice.
