Background / History

Hikari trained under Shin'yu in shuriken techniques, chakra control, and balance. Though she initially struggled with chakra control, she was determined not to become a burden and trusted Madara's larger plans 25.

By the time of the Cloud-Lightning Gorge operation, Light had gained control over the Gold and Silver Brothers through the Yachihoko Eye Technique. She directed them to erase evidence from the battlefield and devised the cover story that the destruction resulted from berserk Tailed Beast power 165.

Light later assisted Orochimaru and Hiruko with gene-fusion experiments in the Land of Iron. Shin'yu worried that her knowledge of his past might affect his image with the two researchers, while Nian was tasked with observing their activities 167.

After the Eight-Tails' rampage in Kumogakure, Light reunited with Shin'yu and began searching the comatose First Raikage A's memories while controlling his mind. Shin'yu cautioned her against overusing her eye techniques because of their side effects 169.

Following six years of research and failed attempts, Light participated in the successful Kimaera-solution experiment. She received the solution and self-administered Hashirama cells, successfully absorbing them in a transformation described as a new life 219.

Personality

Light is outwardly aloof and firm but kind-hearted beneath that exterior 167. She can be openly affectionate and clingy with Shin'yu, while maintaining a façade of dislike around Madara 26.

She is practical, decisive, and attentive to details when secrecy is necessary, as shown by her battlefield cleanup and alibi in Kumogakure 165. Her concern for Shin'yu is matched by a stubborn willingness to accompany him into danger 192.

Light seeks peace, but rejects the idea that the ninja-village system can preserve it permanently. She argues that suppressing conflict merely allows tensions to accumulate until they become larger wars 363.
