Ch. 16A thousand-year-old temple, annihilated in a single day

The Demon Sect attacked Golden Mountain Temple, and Liansheng and Bai Haotian killed Abbot Wuwо after he unleashed the temple’s secret art. The Demon Sect wiped out the temple in under four hours, while people at the foot of the mountain only noticed the blood stench after the attackers left.

  • Zhao Li crushed a bead and was swallowed by a spatial vortex that carried him into the Sword God's tomb.
  • Master Liaoyu and a grieving woman crawled from beneath the rubble; she left to find her master in the Great Yu Dynasty, while he stayed to bury the dead and cultivate against demons.

  • Qingping's strength began to fade as the battle continued, and Ximen Tian arrived with another figure, having reached the Martial Emperor Realm.
  • While Qingping was distracted by Ximen Tian's arrival, a sword pierced his chest, and he lost consciousness after hearing a faint dragon's roar.

Ch. 20I am invincible under heaven-who dares defy me?

Zhou Qiong arrived at Hanging Void Hall and overwhelmed Ximen Tian and Daoist Chongxu, then claimed the title Zhou Wudi after completing a system quest. He left Liansheng to finish the battle and used a Lesser Nirvana Pill to try to save the Grand Protector as the system rewarded him for destroying Golden Mountain Temple and Hanging Void Hall.

  • Zhou Qiong arrived at Hanging Void Mountain, ignored Ximen Tian and Daoist Chongxu, and reprimanded Liansheng for failing to destroy Hanging Void Hall sooner.

  • The Demon Sect defeated the remaining resistance, and Zhou Qiong received the system's reward for destroying Golden Mountain Temple and Hanging Void Hall as his followers praised him.

Ch. 21The world trembled, everyone feared for themselves

After Zhou Qiong killed Ximen Tian, the Great Wilderness Dynasty feared the Demon Sect might turn against it, while the weakened Ten Thousand Swords Sect disbanded rather than face the sect. Zhou Qiong learned that the hidden spatial turbulence was a passage to the Upper Realm, but decided to strengthen his power before going there.

  • A Brocade Guard reported that Zhou Qiong had killed Ximen Tian and wiped out Hanging Void Hall, frightening the young emperor of the Great Wilderness Dynasty.
  • The Grand Tutor reassured the emperor that the Demon Sect was unlikely to attack the dynasty, though he remained uncertain.
  • Ximen Di announced the Ten Thousand Swords Sect’s disbandment, and the First Elder accepted the decision and chose to remain on Ten Thousand Swords Mountain.
  • A report told Zhou Qiong that Ximen Di had disbanded the sect, leaving the First Elder and a few disciples behind.
  • Zhou Qiong asked the System about the spatial turbulence and learned it was a hidden passage to the Upper Realm, whose vastness made him decide to build up his power before taking his subordinates there.

Ch. 22Spatial turbulence, the first glimpse of the upper realm

Xuan San and Xuan Si attacked the injured Ximen Di, but spatial turbulence swept him away before they could finish him. He emerged through a long-dormant stone stele in Black King City, where an armored overseer questioned him about his origins and faction.

Ch. 23Would You Dare Follow Me into the Upper Realm?

Ximen Di arrived in the upper realm and learned that most ascenders were forced to serve as slaves, while Zhou Qiong discovered that the Cangwu Continent’s ascension passage could be reactivated with energy stones. After accepting a mission to dominate the continent, Zhou Qiong challenged the Demon Sect to follow him into the upper realm, and its members pledged their support.

  • The armored leader threw Ximen Di into a clearing with a hundred ascenders and declared that Martial Gods would serve the Blue Rain Clan for three years and Martial Emperors for five.
  • A bull-headed Martial God challenged the order, but the armored leader crushed him with his presence; Ximen Di learned that descendants of powerful upper-realm families were exempt from slavery.
  • Zhou Qiong learned from the system that the ascension passage had run out of energy and could be reopened by burying energy stones, and that passage only allowed travel to the upper realm.
  • Zhou Qiong accepted a mission to dominate the Cangwu Continent within three years in exchange for three cultivation levels and 1,000,000 Villain Points.
  • At the Heavenly Devil Hall, Zhou Qiong told the Demon Sect about the upper realm and its cultivation levels, then asked whether they dared follow him there; the Demon Tiger King, Liansheng, and others pledged their loyalty.

Ch. 24Those who would not submit, **"Kill!"** Those who dared resist, **"Kill!"** Those who voiced dissent, **"Kill!"**
