Aaron joined Rhonin and Vereesa on a mission that led through dragon attacks and hidden routes to Grim Batol. After Rhonin freed Alexstrasza and restored the Dragon Aspects’ power, Deathwing escaped, and the survivors prepared to leave.

• Aaron discovered his Paladin powers and joined Rhonin and Vereesa as their guard on the way to Hasic.
• Deathwing captured Rhonin at the Paladin camp, but Rhonin returned, and Aaron followed Vereesa’s group toward Khaz Modan on a summoned gryphon.
• After Deathwing seized Rhonin again, Aaron, Vereesa, and Falstad followed Kreel’s lead toward Grim Batol, survived a troll ambush, and received directions from Krasus.
• Aaron, Vereesa, and Falstad entered Grim Batol, fought their way past an Orc and a flame golem, and rescued Rhonin.
• Rhonin teleported the group out, then hurried to investigate a dragon’s crash after Aaron pointed out that Krasus’s pendant resembled Deathwing’s.
• Vereesa shot Nekros and made him drop the Dragon Soul, which Rhonin used to free Alexstrasza and restore the Dragon Aspects’ power.
• The Dragon Aspects drove Deathwing away, Alexstrasza’s offspring helped defeat the Orcs, and Falstad departed to find his missing subordinate.

Aaron and his companions exposed Lord Prestor’s dragonkin and discovered cultists serving the Old Gods, while Aaron reforged Xal'atath with Holy Light. He and Vereesa reached Quel'Lithien as Troll attacks and preparations for retaliation drew them toward Farstriders' Camp.

• Aaron and Vereesa accompanied Rhonin to Dalaran, where they reported their mission to the Council of Six and later met Kel'Thuzad, who decided to seek Val’kyr on the Broken Isles.
• Kael'thas led Aaron, Rhonin, and Vereesa to Lordaeron, where King Terenas received them and the gathered kings questioned them about their mission.
• Terenas sent Uther and Kael'thas to investigate Daval Prestor’s residence, where Aaron and the others fought Blackscale Dragonspawn and found Natalie Selin’s notebook among magical implements.
• Aaron gave Uther the notebook and warned him that Deathwing might use Prestor’s identity to deceive Stormwind, then traveled with Vereesa to Nathanos’s home and investigated nearby cultist traces.
• A Shadow Priest summoned a Faceless One and nearly drew Aaron into the Old Gods’ faction, but Holy Light empowered Aaron to defeat the creature and overwhelm Xal'atath.
• After waking from three days unconscious, Aaron found Xal'atath’s blade gone and its hilt transformed, then reforged it into a rapier before continuing with Vereesa toward Quel'Thalas.
• Aaron fought Trolls pursuing wounded elves near Quel'Lithien Lodge, and rangers arrived to drive the attackers away while Aaron healed the injured.
• Aaron and Vereesa met Liadrin and learned that Lor'themar was preparing retaliation against the Trolls, then Aaron flew with Liadrin toward Lake Elrendar as Vereesa followed the rangers toward Farstriders' Camp.

Aaron traveled with Vereesa to Silvermoon City, where a Troll assault on Farstrider Lodge led to Zul'jin's escape and a desperate fight against him and his allies. After helping Sylvanas and recovering from his injuries, Aaron left Quel'Thalas, but Vereesa leaped aboard his departing ship to join him.

• Aaron and Liadrin reached the camp where Lor'themar had captured Zul'jin, and Aaron learned that the rangers were torturing the Troll prisoner.
• Lor'themar stopped the torture and arranged for Zul'jin to be taken to Silvermoon City, where Aaron tried to speak with him in his cell.
• Aaron traveled to Silvermoon City with Vereesa and Liadrin, met Arator, and received a firearm from the dwarf smith Kaierfu.
• Aaron and Vereesa investigated a Troll attack near Farstrider Lodge, then joined Halduron's rangers in defending the lodge from a much larger force.
• Nalorakk used a ritual to empower grizzlies, and one giant bear broke through the lodge's palisade before Aaron and Halduron killed it.
• Silvermoon reinforcements routed the Trolls, but Zul'jin escaped by severing his arm, and Aaron flew to Sylvanas's aid against an invisible hunter.
• Zul'jin and Akil'zon overwhelmed Aaron and Sylvanas until Xal'atath took control of Aaron, transformed him into a golden Val'kyr, and carried Sylvanas to safety.
• After recovering, Aaron left Quel'Thalas aboard a Kul Tiran cargo ship, but Vereesa jumped aboard and landed in his arms.

Aaron and Vereesa reached the Broken Isles, where they helped Kel'Thuzad investigate Prince Farondis and later joined Stellagosa in confronting the Nightfallen’s mana-draining. Farondis’s attack on Senegos ended with Aaron severing his control of an Arcane Construct, which collapsed from lack of mana.

• Aaron and Vereesa survived a Naga attack at sea, then reached Azsuna, where a sea giant drove them from the ruined Kul Tiran trading post.
• Aaron helped Kel'Thuzad capture Prince Farondis, challenged Farondis’s account of his rebellion, and later traveled with Vereesa toward Stormheim.
• Aaron rescued the blue dragon Stellagosa from Withered, and she took him and Vereesa to meet her grandfather, Senegos.
• Stellagosa led Aaron and Vereesa to the Zarkhenar Ley Line Ruins, where they fought Withered and Arcane constructs before meeting Prince Farondis.
• Farondis bound Aaron, Vereesa, and Stellagosa after learning Senegos was nearby, then fled as Withered marched toward the Azurewing Whelplands.
• Farondis attacked Senegos with an Arcane Construct, but Senegos shattered it with dragon breath, and Farondis escaped inside its damaged remains.
• Aaron and Stellagosa pursued Farondis, and Aaron severed his connection to the construct, which collapsed when it ran out of mana.
