Aaron helped Sylvanas evacuate the rangers from the Amani Troll assault, then supported Quel'Thalas by arranging Alliance aid and weapons. In Stormwind, his Holy Light awakened Liadrin's path to becoming a Paladin, and Truthguard led him to suspect a black dragon was nearby.

• Aaron and Vereesa reached Farstriders' Camp as the Amani Trolls attacked, and Aaron defended the rangers from Nalorakk and the transformed beasts.
• Aaron brought the Dreadwake to evacuate the rangers, while Xal'atath turned the pursuing birds against one another.
• Sylvanas regrouped the rangers and sought support from Silvermoon, but the council replaced her, and the new commander led Quel'Thalas into a disastrous ambush.
• Aaron and Sicco Thermaplugg proposed Alliance aid for Quel'Thalas, and Terenas accepted the plan as a way to draw the Trolls away and demonstrate gnomish weapons.
• Aaron traveled with the envoys to Stormwind, where Archbishop Alonsus Faol met him and invited Liadrin to observe the Paladin promotion ceremony.
• Aaron's Seed of the Holy Light transformed Liadrin's power, and she became a Paladin, while Alonsus examined the ability and arranged for the party to stay at the cathedral.
• Aaron and Vereesa explored Stormwind's ruins, where Truthguard glowed near a black-haired mage who fled before Aaron could catch her.

Aaron exposed Onyxia's scheme, then helped lead the Alliance relief force into Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman. After defeating the Amani Loa and Hex Lord Malacrass, the allies reached Zul'jin, who refused to surrender.

• Aaron recognized Onyxia in dragon form and helped drive her from Stormwind, then warned Falstad that she had allies at Blackrock Mountain.
• Varian and the Alliance relief force marched into Quel'Thalas, where Uther negotiated with Silvermoon City and led the army toward Zul'Aman.
• Aaron used rockets to break Zul'Aman's gates, and the allied forces fought the Trolls and their Loa inside the city.
• Aaron killed Akil'zon after the Eagle God attacked the Gryphon Riders and the Dreadwake.
• The Infinite Dragonflight lured Aaron away from the battlefield, but he wounded Yor Nozdormu before Chromie and another bronze dragon attacked the remaining dragonkin.
• The allies defeated the Amani Loa and launched an assault on Hex Lord Malacrass's hall after Uther learned the Trolls had been gathering their forces.

Aaron defeated Zul'jin, became lord of the newly founded Covenant City, and oversaw its early growth. As Northrend's dangers mounted, he assembled a large expedition, fought off Naga and Infinite dragons at sea, and arrived at Daggercap Bay ready to divide his forces.

• Zul'jin transformed by absorbing the souls of dead Loa, but Aaron defeated him in a duel after drawing him away from the allied army.
• Aaron questioned Zul'jin's soul about the attack on Quel'Thalas, while the Loa accepted Xal'atath's offer and asked Aaron to save Nalorakk.
• The Alliance appointed Aaron lord of a new territory jointly governed by Lordaeron and Quel'Thalas, and he named its new city Covenant City.
• Illucia Barov arrived as Covenant City's administrator and proposed recruiting farmers, while Aaron later brought orc prisoners from Durnholde Keep to help expand the city and harbor.
• As threats gathered in Northrend, Aaron recruited allies from Tyr's Fall, the Dragonflights, Uldaman, Ironforge, and several Alliance kingdoms for an expedition.
• A Naga attack and a magical storm threatened Aaron's fleet, but he and Kael'thas fought back before Infinite dragons struck the Dreadwake from below.
• Aaron used explosives to drive off the Infinite dragons, and the fleet defeated the remaining Naga before reaching Daggercap Bay.
• At Daggercap Bay, Aaron assigned forces to scout Utgarde Keep, fight ice trolls in Zul'Drak, and explore Ulduar, then recognized an approaching proto-dragon.

Aaron recruited Ygrim and the Dragonflayer Vrykul, then defeated Ymiron’s undead forces and claimed Utgarde Keep. At Wyrmrest Temple, Aaron discovered Sindragosa’s remains were being excavated and helped free her from Ner’zhul’s influence, though Xal'atath intensified her hatred of Malygos.

• Aaron and Ygrim persuaded the Dragonflayer Vrykul to join them, and Ygrim defeated Ymiron in a duel before Ingvar claimed the clan’s throne.
• Ymiron raised the sleeping Vrykul of Jotunheim as undead and attacked Utgarde Keep, so Aaron gathered the camp’s forces and assaulted the fortress.
• Aaron found Ingvar chained inside Utgarde Keep, learned Ymiron had turned its inhabitants into undead, and led a squad to defeat Ymiron before Xal'atath transformed Annhylde into a golden Val'kyr and recruited Ingvar.
• Aaron secured Utgarde Keep and its riches, then traveled to Wyrmrest Temple, where Stellagosa’s mysterious feeling led Kalecgos to locate a call near Icecrown Glacier.
• Aaron and Alexstrasza learned that Sindragosa’s remains were being excavated, and the dragons confronted Balnazzar and Varimathras at the site.
• Sindragosa broke through the ice and resisted Ner’zhul’s control, while Aaron recognized that her presence was affecting Stellagosa and Kalecgos.
• Aaron asked Xal'atath to free Sindragosa, and she broke Ner’zhul’s hold while intensifying Sindragosa’s hatred of Malygos as the dragon flew toward Coldarra.
