After surviving a vampire attack and meeting Newt, Lin Ze followed Bellatrix Lestrange into a Miami garage, where the diary’s phantom clashed with a Killing Curse.

• Rodna recruited Lin Ze into Prisoners, gave him a rune-filled book, and showed him visions of possible futures.
• Lin Ze used Boundary Break to enter the ruined shop’s vault, took Tom Riddle’s Diary, and fought Barty Crouch Jr. and Lucius Malfoy when they pursued him.
• Lin Ze defeated Barty Crouch Jr., forced Lucius to support his people in the Ministry, and left Barty buried on a remote hill.

Lin Ze survived Bados’s Dragon King Potion and brought Bellatrix back to Britain, where he rescued Frank and Alice Longbottom. After helping Quinn and Aila reach Hogwarts, Lin Ze became leader of the Ministry’s Third Team and began investigating a series of disappearances.

• Bados captured Lin Ze and Tom, but Tom mortally wounded him before Bados injected Lin Ze with the Dragon King Potion, transforming Lin Ze with scales and wings.
• Lin Ze freed seven captives from Bados’s ship, including Bellatrix, and Rodna brought him to Prisoners Castle to contain and study his unstable bloodline.
• Bellatrix joined Rodna’s group as a peripheral member and led Lin Ze to Frank and Alice Longbottom, whom Lin Ze freed and sent to St. Mungo’s.
• Lin Ze used Rodna’s puppet to deliver a fake Bellatrix to the Ministry, then Dumbledore asked him to recommend a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

Lin Ze investigated a series of killings that led him to a Muggle cult trying to restore a sealed vampire progenitor. After tracing the vampire’s history through the Mulcibers and the Black family, he confronted Miriam’s followers at Brighton Pier, where a black boat arrived and its mist engulfed the cultists.

• Lin Ze and Barty Crouch Jr. and Mia fought Lingchang Murakami’s black mist in Knockturn Alley until Dumbledore intervened, defeated him, and took the injured group to St. Mungo’s.
• After Evan Rosier was found drained of blood and magic, Lin Ze tracked a woman with a Blood Leech Ring and discovered a notebook describing Muggles trying to resurrect a progenitor.
• Lin Ze infiltrated the Dark Night Society, learned its members were supplying blood through embedded rings, and suspected their collections were intended to restore a vampire sealed by Flamel.
• Lin Ze learned from old Mulciber that a Mulciber ancestor had helped Flamel seal the vampire, while Dumbledore later purged the family members seeking the creature’s power.
• With Sirius, Lin Ze found Chivalis Black’s hidden letter identifying a vampire lair beneath the ruins of the Icon Church, then learned the church had once stood north of Brighton.
• Lin Ze assembled Amos, Arthur, Barty Crouch Jr., and Mia to watch Miriam’s gathering at Brighton Pier, where her sacrifice turned a black sheep into a wounded wizard.
• Miriam welcomed Lin Ze’s group as sacrifices, but a black boat arrived and released mist that extinguished the fire, froze the dock, and engulfed the kneeling cultists.

Lin Ze and his allies fought a vampire awakening at the docks, where Dumbledore ultimately pinned the primordial vampire beneath the sea. Lin Ze then traced hidden experiments to Fearn Borgin and Old Mulciber, uncovering several wizarding families' vampire research and obtaining a new lead in Muggle London.

• Barty Crouch Jr. burned Targaryen to ashes after Lin Ze and his allies weakened him, but the sacrifice awakened a primordial vampire beneath the docks.
• Lin Ze summoned a phantom goddess against the primordial vampire and collapsed before Rodna arrived to fight it.
• Dumbledore intervened after Rodna forced the vampire into its second form and pinned it to the seabed with phantom nails.
• Lin Ze followed Oliver Sterling's addresses with Mia and Barty Crouch Jr. and uncovered laboratories, numbered coffins, and records of vampire experiments.
