Background / History

Bru was initially a wizard apprentice of the elementalist school alongside Eva. The school’s reliance on the Four Elements Hypothesis placed him in crisis when Bayern and Logan's new theories challenged its foundation. Bru dismantled his fire-element meditation model and cautiously read the new research under a Mechanized Mind, fearing the severe mental consequences suffered by other wizards. 431

Despite this theoretical upheaval, Bru continued developing combustion magic. He later demonstrated the clone-and-auxiliary-brain system with Eva and other wizards, using his combustion spells to overwhelm one newly promoted formal wizard before losing to three in a prolonged battle. 465

In the dream world, Bru was unexpectedly murdered by a mortal thief who coveted a Lesser Magic Stone. After recovering with a Mental Recovery Potion, he remained furious at being killed by someone he considered beneath him. 472 Following a later resurrection, he learned that eighty percent of his former magic power, attributes, runes, and spells would return once he reached adulthood. 479

Bru was subsequently subjected to consciousness transmigration into a powerless child’s body. Unable to meditate effectively and trapped in an abusive begging ring, he endured beatings, starvation, and torture until he learned to survive by concealing his individuality and obeying his captors. 526 527 After surviving a plague, he regained his magic, worked for three years as an executioner in Tuersitu, became a Level 1 Wizard, and founded Bru's Cabin. 527

Bru's Cabin later merged with Allen, Eva, and Luther's group into the medium-sized Mechanical Cabin, which constructed a magical difference engine in another dimension and nearly overthrew the Kingdom of Durus. The effort failed when the King of Angels descended; Eva was killed, while Bru, Allen, and Luther fled with the remaining wizards to the Southern Alliance. 527

During Ace's Destiny stage play, Bru received the role of Instigator. He attempted to recruit Arno and Auli into Ace's plan, initially mishandling the encounter before Ace supplied him with a dream bubble that helped persuade them. 533 534

After the world was reorganized around seven life planets, Bru arrived on Planet Bernard as a Golden Wizard. He encountered Elena, captured her after a brief fight, and initially treated her as a personal enemy. Her Blood Race mission forced him to recognize that killing her could disrupt Ace's intended development of the planet, leading him to accept a cooperative quest instead. 539

Bru later participated in the defeat of Polina and Caroso on the Blood Source Planet and helped unify it. In the Heavenly Realm, he joined Allen in advancing mechanical magic-computer and electromagnetism research. 544 550
