The innkeeper and the town's residents gaped in astonishment at the scene.
They had never imagined that this young outsider possessed such astonishing strength, instantly dealing with a band of vicious space pirates.
"Thank you, young man. You saved our town." The innkeeper stepped forward excitedly and clasped Wumu's hand tightly.
The other residents gathered around as well, expressing their gratitude to Wumu.
Wumu smiled faintly and waved it off.
"I just lent a hand. There's no need to thank me so much," he said.
Then he took the pirate leader away from the crowd to an open clearing.
"Talk. Why did you suddenly come to this planet? I don't believe it was such a coincidence that trouble showed up and blocked my way just after I arrived," Wumu demanded.
"Sir, one of my men happened to be at yesterday's market and saw that you were an outsider. Seeing you alone with such a big spaceship, he thought you were a fat sheep ripe for the picking. Who knew you were so strong and could even fool a Scouter?" the pirate leader explained, kneeling on the ground, wanting to cry but finding no tears.
After hearing this, Wumu understood what had happened. Since it had been a spur-of-the-moment idea, that was fine, and he continued questioning him.
"What's the upper limit on your Scouter? Hand it over and let me see. Oh, and do you have any other brothers?"
"Sir, this Scouter was newly developed by Lord Frieza's force. Its upper limit is a battle power of one hundred thousand. As for my brothers, aside from the ones you wiped out, all I have left is a younger brother serving in the Frieza Force," the pirate leader said tearfully, presenting the Scouter with both hands.
"All right!" I glanced at him, raised my hand, and gathered a wave of ki aimed at him.
"Spare me, sir..."
Whoosh!
An explosion rang out, leaving a huge crater where he had stood. No corpse remained; he had already been reduced to dust.
The Frieza Force-I would have to face them sooner or later anyway. If it had been some other faction, that would have been troublesome. Having someone fixated on me would be a real nuisance.
Then he returned to the inn to rest.
After a brief stay of a few days, he started his spaceship again and continued his journey of exploration.
The boundless universe was full of unknowns and challenges, but for Wumu, this was precisely the path he pursued.
The spaceship once again traveled among the stars, leaving trails of light behind it.
Wumu sat in the cockpit, his eyes gleaming with resolve and anticipation. He knew that whatever awaited him ahead, he would press boldly onward, constantly surpassing himself, exploring the mysteries of the universe, and searching for traces of Turles until he found his own path.
Planet Atobita.
After several months of interstellar travel, Wumu's spaceship slowly landed on the planet.
He stepped off the spaceship and looked at the barren planet before him. Corpses littered the ground, the plants had withered, and everything was deathly still.
"Turles must have caused this. I need to hurry now. I don't know if the Fruit of Might has ripened yet." Wumu closed his eyes and sensed Turles's ki.
Over there!
Then he used Instant Transmission to teleport over.
Beneath the Tree of Might.
At that moment, Turles and his group were gathered around an enormous Tree of Might, their eyes gleaming with greed and excitement. "In just a few more days, these Might Fruits will ripen, and our power will soar!" Turles said excitedly.
"That's right, Lord Turles. This Tree of Might really is our lucky star," one of his subordinates agreed, but his gaze happened to sweep over the corpses on the ground, and he burst out laughing.
"I wonder how many fruits we'll get this time. The last planet only produced four. That really was too few."
"This planet's quality is pretty good. It should produce quite a few," Turles said casually as he looked at the tree.
As a Low-Class Warrior among the Saiyans, Turles had only possessed a battle power of around 1,000-2,000 upon reaching adulthood. It was only thanks to the Fruit of Might he had obtained by chance that he now had a battle power of 7,500.
Turles planned to strengthen himself with the fruits of the Tree of Might and fulfill his ambition of ruling the universe.
Turles slowly turned around, looked at his subordinates, and gave a crooked grin. "If there are plenty of fruits this time, everyone might get a few extra. Heh heh heh..."
"Yes, Lord Turles!"
They all replied excitedly.
"You won't get that chance!"
"Who's there?!" Turles shouted through gritted teeth.
By then, Wumu had arrived and casually fired a Ki Blast.
Boom!
A cloud of dust rose.
The dust cleared.
"Who are you? How dare you trespass on our territory?" Turles asked coldly.
Wumu walked closer in silence, his gaze icy.
"Turles, what have you done?" His voice was cold and filled with displeasure.
Turles froze when he saw Wumu. "A Saiyan? No! You're not. You don't have a tail."
"Beep, beep, beep! Five."
Then Turles looked at the battle power displayed on his Scouter, his face showing astonishment and disbelief.
"Could you be from one of those races with a special talent for hiding their energy?"
Turles burst out laughing. "But you think you can oppose us all by yourself?"
Wumu could not be bothered to answer. He urgently needed to grow stronger.
"You talk too much!"
As he spoke, Wumu swiftly attacked. He moved so fast that before Turles and his group could react, Wumu had already killed more than half of them.
Seeing this, Turles knew he had run into a tough opponent today, but he still refused to give up. He flew around the tree to escape, shouting as he went.
"You might not know this, but once these Might Fruits ripen, even you won't be able to stop us."
Wumu glanced at the nearly ripe Might Fruits. He knew time was short and he had to finish the fight quickly.
So he flared his ki, unleashing his full power, and quickly caught up. He knocked Turles down with one blow, followed it with several ki projectiles, then gathered his ki and used Divine Wind Wave, killing Turles outright.
Turles fell to the ground and breathed his last. Wumu walked toward the Tree of Might.
He knew that consuming these Might Fruits would increase his strength. Then he could break through to Transformation Force. This is my own path to growing stronger.
Wumu stood quietly beneath the Tree of Might, his gaze fixed on the few Might Fruits that were about to ripen.
As time passed, the fruits gradually turned from green to red, like the most dazzling stars in the night sky, exuding an irresistible allure.
Finally, on a quiet night, the Might Fruits fully ripened.
Looking at the fruits glowing red, Wumu felt an inexplicable surge of excitement.
He knew full well that these fruits would be the key to a leap in his strength.
"One, two... four... seven... nine. Nine fruits! Hahaha..." Wumu looked at the fruits with delight.
Wumu reached out and gently picked a Might Fruit.
As the fruit settled into his hand, he felt warm energy flow from his palm throughout his body. It was a sensation unlike any he had experienced before.
Without the slightest hesitation, Wumu swallowed the Might Fruit in one gulp.
Instantly, he felt powerful energy erupt within him, as though countless electrical currents were coursing through every nerve and every inch of muscle.
Wumu closed his eyes, wholeheartedly experiencing the baptism of this power.
Time seemed to stand still at that moment.
When Wumu opened his eyes again, he felt that his body had undergone an earth-shaking transformation.
His battle power had increased to one hundred and fifty thousand.
"Keep going."
Feeling the power within him, Wumu could not help smiling in satisfaction.
He ate the remaining Might Fruits, one per mouthful. His body's ki grew stronger and stronger, stirring up a storm around him. After eating the final fruit, Wumu reined in his unrestrained energy.
"My battle power is six hundred and twenty thousand now. The later fruits gave smaller and smaller boosts, but even so, breaking through to Transformation Force will bring me to two million four hundred and eighty thousand."
Feeling the diminishing boosts from the later fruits, he spoke with regret, then sat cross-legged to prepare for his breakthrough to Transformation Force.
