"Why?" Peter·Parker feels like he has asked these three words a hundred times.
Richard organized the documents in his hands without raising his head. "Because sixteen-year-olds should go to school."
"Sixteen-year-olds don't work in the same building as the smartest people in the world." Peter raised an eyebrow.
Richard finally looked at his son and sighed, "Peter, you need to develop the ability to deal with people. This is the real reason why your mother and I insist on letting you go to school."
"I have very good communication skills!" Peter protested.
"Really?"
"Of course. Tell me, how many sixteen-year-old guys have Tony·Stark's shortcut keys, Captain America's address, and Hulk's spare purple shorts stored in their mobile phones?"
Richard rubbed his temples and almost laughed, "Avengers is not an ordinary person, Peter. You must make some ordinary friends."
Peter said stubbornly, "I have friends."
"Oh? How many?"
Peter was stunned and counted silently in his mind. "... five? Probably." He felt a little guilty - he actually only knew a few people.
Richard threw his schoolbag to him and said in a tone that did not allow for refutation, "You have to go, stop arguing."
"You know, if you just let me go to college, I would definitely get along very well with those adults." Peter caught the bag.
"Young people must learn to get along with ordinary people. This is the fate of geniuses." Richard pushed him out the door, "Relax, kid, you will find school interesting."
Peter rolled his eyes. "I hate you so much now."
Richard laughed loudly behind him. When Peter walked out of the house, he caught a glimpse of Uncle Ben and Aunt May emerging from the end of the corridor, exchanging glances with Richard - obviously, they had deliberately left the conversation just now for father and son alone time.
When he saw his car in the driveway, the corner of his mouth raised slightly. At least, not everything was the same as before.
"Peter!" MJ ran over from across the street, wearing new clothes: jeans and a pink cardigan shirt, with a white long sleeve underneath, and a heart pattern with the Spider-Man logo printed in the middle.
"The shirt is nice." Peter grinned, "Get in the car."
MJ got into the passenger seat, threw his bag into the back seat, and asked casually, "Are you going to pick up Felicia?"
"No answer. She said she was coming. Liz also took someone else's car." Peter backed out of the driveway.
"She came by herself?" MJ was surprised, "She didn't mention it to me."
"She didn't tell me either." Peter shrugged, "I guess she's jealous - there's nothing I can do about it, who can compare with my precious car?"
MJ rolled his eyes. "I just thought you weren't so nerdy anymore. It seems I was wrong."
"Hey! I'm a superhero, what does this have to do with being a nerd?"
"Just because you're a superhero doesn't mean you can't be a nerd." MJ retorted with a smile.
"Damn red-haired girl." Peter scolded with a smile and drove straight to the school.
When they arrived at the parking lot, as soon as they got out of the car, a familiar Mercedes-Benz pulled up to the side. Under the convertible were Harry·Osborn and Flash·Flash Thompson. The two of them looked at Peter first, and then at his car.
"What the hell, where did you pick up this pile of scrap metal?" Flash jumped down and kicked the wheel hub, "Clearout sale or the junkyard?"
Harry laughed along, "Parker, you can actually make this thing run? It took a lot of effort to repair it."
Peter shrugged. "The money is well spent." He motioned for MJ to follow him, turned around and left.
"Hey, wait!" Harry caught up, sandwiching them with Flash, "Where is your little girlfriend Felicia? You guys broke up?"
Peter raised his eyebrows. "No, why do you think so?"
"Because you came to school with others." Harry pointed at MJ. MJ immediately rolled his eyes.
"My enemy, Peter and I are neighbors. This can also be used as evidence of breaking up. You are really good at it."
Flash interjected. "Speaking of which, Peter, do you have any objection if I pursue Hardy?"
Peter glanced at him coldly. "If you try, she will kick your balls out."
Harry suppressed a smile and pulled Flash: "Let's go, there are new students over there who need to be 'welcome'." He nuzzled at a few rookies who had just entered the school.
Peter was about to step forward to stop him when MJ grabbed his shoulder and said, "Don't worry, they won't succeed." Sure enough, the vice-principal was walking this way. When Harry and Flash saw it, they immediately stopped and dispersed.
Peter sighed, "On the first day of school, my head started to hurt."
MJ looked around. "Where is Liz? She should have arrived by now."
As soon as he finished speaking, Liz appeared out of nowhere and hugged MJ's shoulders. "Who is calling my name? Hi, friends!"
Peter smiled and said, "So excited about the new semester?"
"Of course!" Liz shook his head, "By the way, where is Felicia?"
"She said she would do it herself." MJ shrugged.
"Oh? Whose car did she take?" Liz asked.
Peter smiled and raised his hand and pointed to the sky. The girls raised their heads and saw a black shadow passing through the air. Felicia had changed into Black Cat's costume, flew over the campus with Silk, and disappeared behind the building in the blink of an eye. Several students hurriedly took out their mobile phones to take pictures, but they were nowhere to be seen, thanks to the tall teaching buildings.
"She... how did she do it?" Liz was stunned.
"Silk-Shooter, my birthday gift to her." Peter answered casually.
MJ immediately approached eagerly. "Can you make a pair for me too?"
"Have you ever taken gymnastics Champion, do you have that sense of balance?" Peter asked in return.
"Uh... please."
Peter sighed helplessly, "Okay, let me see what I can do. But you are not allowed to swing around. It can only be used for self-defense."
"Oh! I want it too!" Liz raised his hand.
"No."
"Why?"
"Because you will definitely abuse it." Peter said and walked into the teaching building.
"I won't!" Liz protested.
"You will definitely do it." Peter and MJ said in unison. At this moment, the door of the storage room next to him suddenly opened, and Felicia jumped out with his face glowing and his hair a little fried.
Peter put his arms around her and kissed her hard on the lips
Felicia smiled broadly and followed them in, "Well, I stopped a man who was about to commit suicide on the road and gave directions to a lost old lady. She gave me a granola bar, do you want it?" She handed it over.
Peter took it, opened it and stuffed it into his mouth. "You're welcome." He chewed something, his eyes full of joking, "Remember when you said before that you don't want to be a bad person like me in this life?"
Felicia rolled his eyes. "Okay, okay, you can say that I told you before." Peter laughed and concentrated on dealing with the granola bars.
Liz's eyes shone and he lowered his voice. "Having a superhero best friend is so cool, I really want to show it off." She saw Harry and Flash walking by and whistling to a few cheerleading girls, and couldn't help but groan in anger.
MJ asked in a low voice, "Are you still thinking about him?"
"Who? Flash? No!" Liz hesitated and quickly changed the subject, "Forget it, let's not talk about this. What is your first class?"
Several people checked the get out of class schedule and soon discovered that most of the classes were not together, because Peter's classes were basically all advanced classes. Felicia was a little disappointed.
The class was just as Peter expected, it was boring.
As soon as the school bell rang, Peter gave MJ the car keys and repeatedly asked her not to crash the car. MJ She patted her chest to assure herself, but Peter still felt unsure. Felicia had to report to her mother's company - her mother had found a temporary job for her there. Although Xiaomao was reluctant, this was a good opportunity to inquire about the background of her mother's clients and figure out how to make them miserable.
Liz disappeared without a trace as soon as school was over. No one knew where she went. However, Peter never interfered. This girl always had her own way.
So, Peter went to the S.H.I.E.L.D. training ground alone and sparred with Natasha·Romanoff.
"Move, Spider!" Natasha raised his hand and there was a string of rubber bullets.
"This is so unfair!" Peter shouted while hiding. A bullet grazed his arm, and he was forced to jump away as soon as he stood still. "Captain America also has to suffer this during training?!"
"You can't imagine how perverted his training is." Natasha fired at his head mercilessly. Peter ducked down, then bounced up and kicked her pistol away.
Natasha reacted very quickly, grabbed his leg and tripped the other one. When Peter's body was falling, he pulled her over with his backhand and rolled over her. Natasha's gun was already pressed against his neck, but he blocked the shot, and his right fist was ready to go.
At this moment, Spider-Sense jumped wildly. Peter looked down and saw a sharp Dagger sticking to a vital part of his body. Natasha had a proud smile on his face.
"You should take full precautions, Spider."
Peter got up with a grimace and reached out to pull her. "I have to explain - I am wearing sweatpants, but you are fully armed."
Natasha held his hand and stood up, calmly putting away the weapon. "You can't always rely on that suit, you must be vigilant at all times."
Peter nodded. "I know. By the way, I've always wanted to ask you, how is Jessica·Drew doing now?"
"S.H.I.E.L.D. is providing protection for Ms. Drew." Natasha replied succinctly, "She is fine, Peter, I promise."
"That's good. It's best not to use her for experiments. We, the Spider family, have to stick together." Peter casually lifted the hem of his shirt and wiped his face, revealing his sweat-soaked abdominal muscles. When he raised his eyes, he happened to catch Natasha's eyes sweeping over him, and he immediately laughed and cursed, "Old pervert."
Natasha raised his eyebrows. "You exhibitionist."
"You are an old cow eating young grass."
"How old do you think I am?" Natasha sounded dangerous.
"Thirty? Twenty-seven or eight, maybe?" Peter spread his hands. Natasha stopped talking and just walked towards the training room with a smile. He was obviously a little aroused.
The two sat down in the briefing room. Peter took two bottles of water from the Fridge. Niu took a sip before asking, "How was my performance?"
"It's not bad. It's getting better every day."
Peter asked again, "Captain, how is he...?Wyndham After that incident, I have been worried."
Natasha nodded. "He will be fine. I heard that he found his son's tomb and went there with Peggy·Carter a week ago."
Peter was silent for a moment, sincerely wishing those things had never happened. He changed the subject. "Is there a task for me recently?"
"It's coming soon, it'll be there soon. Just continue as you are now."
Peter threw away the empty water bottle, took off his sweaty sweatshirt and threw it into the laundry basket. "I'm going to take a shower."
Natasha suddenly gave a meaningful smile, "Do you want me to come with you?"
Peter laughed dryly, "Felicia will be unhappy. Besides, you can't stand me." Natasha raised his eyebrows - it's over, it seems to have pissed her off a little. Who cares, it's good.
After taking a shower, Peter changed into Spider uniform, walked out of the building, and plunged into the cool afternoon wind.
He swung all the way to Hell's Kitchen. That place had been unstable since the last attack, and Matt hadn't put on his helmet again, so he just kept an eye on it.
Not long after, police sirens sounded in the distance. Peter swung past and saw officers behind several police cars with their guns on guard. On the other end, a guy wearing a red and yellow uniform, gloves and a helmet was hiding behind a car. He pushed forward with both hands, and Quake roared, forcing a police car back several feet.
"Get out of the way, you bunch of pigs! Otherwise, try the power of Shocker!"
Peter blinked. There really is Shocker in this world. Without saying anything, he stepped down from the air: "Hi--"
Before Shocker could recover, Peter hit him in the chest with a flying kick, slamming him into a lamppost, and then Silk fired continuously, tying him up three times. Peter landed on the ground and took a stance, waiting for the opponent to break free and fight back, but... nothing happened.
Peter was stunned, stepped forward and poked the opponent's chin. "I passed out. Damn... I thought I could hit him a few more times."
A police officer came over and handcuffed Shocker: "Thank you, Spider-Man, leave it to us here."
"Uh, okay." Peter swung away in a depressed manner, lying on the roof not far away, watching them stuff the unconscious villain into the police car, confiscating all the weapons. He laughed dryly - the worst super villain in history, bar none.
After solving this little episode, Peter continued to patrol several nearby blocks. The sky gradually turned darker, and the dark clouds became lower and lower. Over there, Central Park, a piece of clear sky actually appeared in the sky, and the surrounding dark clouds were rolling, like the eye of a storm.
Something's wrong. It doesn't even need Spider-Sense to remind you.
Peter immediately swung in the direction of the park. When he arrived, he discovered that the eye of the storm had moved several blocks into the city. It was indescribably weird. He chased the thing and swung it towards the sky above Park Avenue. As soon as he got close, a dazzling white light suddenly exploded in the middle.
"What the hell?!" Peter squinted and looked up, just in time to see the crack in the air suddenly widen, and a green portal big enough to swallow an elephant slowly opened. He had only seen this scene once in his life - Loki is coming back again?
Just as he was about to call Avengers, he saw a figure rushing out of the door, wearing green armor and flying towards the south on jet boots designed like Tony·Stark. Immediately afterwards, another figure popped out of the door and landed on the roof of a building as lightly as an acrobat.
"Okay, I opened my eyes today." Peter blinked and watched the portal slowly close. The man in green armor had already disappeared, and the figure who came out later was standing on the roof, cursing.
Peter swung closer quietly, landed on a high point opposite the building, and looked down.
That's a girl.
The red and blue tights had spider web patterns printed on them, and the body curves were distinct. It could not be a man. She punched the roof hard, let out a long sigh, and looked around as if she had lost her way.
Peter cleared her throat. "Ahem, excuse me?" The girl immediately looked up.
"Need any help, ma'am?"
When she saw him, she gasped. "Wow - who are you?"
Peter jumped down the stairs and landed a few meters away from her. "I should ask you this. Cosplay, or superhero?"
"Superhero." She looked at Peter carefully, "Gerry? Is that you?"
"Uh... No. Sorry, I'm Spider-Man. Who are you?" Peter looked at her more carefully. After getting closer, he realized that her uniform was not entirely classic. The classic Spider-Man style is more like what Ben Riley wore when he was Spider-Man: external Silk-Shooter, half boots, and a "V" shaped belt, etc.
"I'm Spider-Girl." The other person replied, "And... well, I feel like I don't belong here."
Peter's heart skipped a beat. "That's right. If you are really who I think you are, you really don't belong here."
"Wait, you know me?"
"I can guess it." Peter scanned her from head to toe, "Tell me, what year is it in your place?"
"Year? What do you mean?" she asked, while secretly looking for a way to escape.
"I want to find out whether you time traveled or crossed dimensions." Peter continued directly, "Tell me the date."
"August 25, 2008." She gave the date.
Peter breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank God, I thought you were from the future."
"Do you even know me?"
Peter couldn't help but laugh, "Of course we do. How can a father not recognize his own daughter - in a sense."
"What?!" she exclaimed, looking him up and down, "You... you--"
"That's right. You are the daughter of Mayday·Parker, Spider-Man. To put it more clearly, my daughter. In other words..."
"Dad?" She was confused and shocked.
"Not exactly." Peter brought up the holographic screen on her wrist SA and showed the time to her, "It is now 2012, so you are not a time traveler. I guess you have crossed dimensions. In this world, I was only born in 1996, and I am still a teenager now, so you cannot be my real daughter."
"So... you are not my dad?" Mayday asked.
"Strictly speaking? No. But genetically speaking? Yes." Peter scratched his head, "How did you get here?"
"I was chasing a bad guy. He called himself Spiral, and he was a super genius. Some time ago, he wanted to blow up an entire city. Fantastic Four and I stopped him, but... he seemed to have escaped." Mayday confessed.
Peter answered immediately, "Green armor, can you fly?"
"Yes, did you see him?"
Peter nodded. "He flew south, and I soon lost him."
"Great, how should I go home now!" Mayday almost collapsed.
"Don't worry, I will help you." Peter pressed the communication button in the helmet, "Call Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D.."
The phone rang for a while before the call was answered, "It's best if it's something urgent."
"A few minutes ago, a guy who can open a space bridge arrived. He is so smart that he can cross dimensions, and he is so crazy that he can blow up a city. He is currently flying around in the air wearing a bright green tight-fitting armor. Can you track him?"
"Where did you get the news?" Fury asked.
"It's a long story. I'll treat you to dinner some other time and I'll tell it slowly."
"... Okay, I will send you your mobile phone number when I find the location. If there is any situation, keep in touch." Fury hung up.
Peter muttered to the phone, "I love you too." He turned to Mayday, "S.H.I.E.L.D. is searching for him, there should be news soon."
Mayday nodded, but still looked at him at a loss. "You... how do you know my name?"
Peter could have answered in many words, but in the end he just shrugged. "Since you are not a time traveler, you must be me in another dimension. I just thought that if I have a daughter in the future, I will definitely name her after my aunt's name 'Mei'."
This is true, but the reason is deeper.
Mayday blankly took off his hood, revealing a face with delicate features, short brown hair, and bright green eyes.
