Peter also took off his helmet and smiled at her, "Hey, nice to see you."
"Uh... Dad?" Mayday called tentatively.
Peter waved his hand. "I'm too young to be a father. Just call me Peter." He stretched out his hand.
Mayday hesitated for a moment and held it. "I am Mayday. But you already know it."
"It seems you have inherited my sense of humor." Peter smiled, "Then let's--"
Before she finished speaking, Mayday's stomach rumbled, and she immediately blushed.
"Are you hungry?" Peter asked. Mayday nodded.
"Very good, I know a great hot dog shop." Peter put on his helmet again, "Can you keep up?"
Mayday quickly put on the mask. Peter walked to the edge of the building and shot out Silk. Looking back at her, Mayday understood and shot out Silk from his wrist.
"Nice Silk-Shooter."
"Well, it's yours." She replied.
The two of them swayed through the city in tandem. Peter looked back a few times. This girl's swing was particularly beautiful, no worse than his own. He smiled secretly - she was indeed from Spider's family.
He landed in front of the hot dog stand and greeted the boss, "Sal! How are you doing?"
"Hey, Spider-Man!" Sal smiled and raised his face, "Old rules, a full set of hot dogs?"
"No, two copies." Peter pointed at Mayday who was following behind, "I brought a friend."
Sal looked at Mayday and said with a smile, "She is your sister?"
"Absolutely." Peter paid, took the two hot dogs, and jumped up to the roof with Mayday and sat down.
Mayday lifted the lower half of the mask and looked at the hot dog in his hand. "This thing... wow."
"Yes, I know." Peter took a big bite, "Your father never brought you here?"
"No."
"Well, then he and I are indeed not the same person." Peter shrugged, chewing food, "By the way, I have to remind you one thing - if someone asks you who you are, just say that you are the female version of me from another dimension. Don't mention the word 'daughter', believe me, nothing good will happen."
Mayday was stunned for a moment. "So you want me to tell them that I am you in another world?"
"Yes. The daughter of Mayday·Parker, Richard·Parker and Mary·Parker."
Mayday was even more confused. "Wait a minute, your mother's name is also Mary?"
"Well, your dad didn't mention it to you?"
Mayday shook his head. "He rarely talked about his parents. Uncle Ben passed away before he became Spider-Man, and Aunt May also passed away earlier. He only told me some of their stories."
"... Do you want to meet them?" Peter suddenly asked.
"What?"
"Let's go." Peter stood up and patted the non-existent ashes on his body, "I'll take you to get to know my family. My Aunt May is still alive, and so is Uncle Ben. And my dad just climbed out of the grave recently. I'll explain to you later."
Mayday is completely speechless.
Before going to Baxter Building, Peter first asked, "Do you have casual clothes?"
"Uh no, I'm not wearing anything else underneath this suit."
Peter sighed longly, "Full tights, what on earth did I think back then. Follow me, I'll borrow some clothes from Su."
The two of them swung towards Baxter Building.
Mayday was dazzled as soon as he entered the living room. He was surrounded by all kinds of shiny high-tech devices. His eyes were shining under the white goggles. "This place is so cool!"
Johnny and Susan heard the sound and walked out. They were stunned when they saw Peter bringing a girl wearing Spider clothes.
"Spider-Man, who is this?" Susan looked at Mayday warily.
"A friend." Peter took off his helmet and revealed his face, letting the other person know that the girl knew her secret identity, "Don't be nervous, she knows."
"Did you tell her?" Susan frowned, "Why?"
"Because she is me." Peter said calmly.
"What did you say?" Johnny was completely confused.
Peter glanced at Mayday. Mayday simply pulled down the mask and revealed his face. "Hey, I'm Mayday·Parker."
"What the hell is going on?" Johnny was surprised and suspicious.
Peter explained, "Me in another dimension. In her place, I was born a girl, so Peter·Parker became Mayday·Parker, Spider-Man became...Spider-Girl."
Mayday added, "Spider-Woman has already been cheated."
Johnny looked Mayday up and down, left and right, and slowly showed a playful smile, "So this is what you look like as a girl? Wow, you are such a beauty."
Peter was furious. "If you look at her like that again, I will smash your face to pieces."
"Ha, someone is anxious." Johnny smiled playfully, "What's wrong? You find that you look better as a woman than as a man, and you feel unbalanced?"
"No." Peter shook his head and smiled, "I just think it's a bit subtle that you are drooling over someone who is essentially 'me with breasts'. Are you holding back some unspoken tendencies?"
Johnny looked at Peter, then at Mayday, his face quickly turned green. "I feel like vomiting."
Susan chuckled, "You deserve it."
Peter then turned to Susan: "Can you lend her some clothes? She is wearing nothing but a red and blue tights."
Susan pressed his temple and sighed, "I'll go take a look."
Soon, Mayday changed her clothes and walked out: a black long-sleeved top, a pair of slightly tight jeans, and Peter's spare slippers on her feet. She tugged at the corners of her clothes uncomfortably.
Peter asked, "As long as it's comfortable."
Susan explained from the side, "I tried several styles on her, but she thought they were too ostentatious."
Mayday blushed. "It's not that I'm shy... I just like this style."
Peter nodded. "Tomboy. Su, where is my dad?"
"In his laboratory."
"Is he busy with something important?"
"Not important."
Peter turned to Mayday: "Stay here for now, I'll call him." Before leaving, he glanced at Johnny again, "Don't try to trick her."
Johnny was approaching Mayday at this moment and chatted with a smile, "Is there a Johnny Stone in your world?"
Mayday answered with difficulty, "Well, yes... but he is older."
"How old?"
"Fifty years old, bald, and suffering from... premature ejaculation." Peter's voice came from the door. Mayday tried his best not to laugh.
Johnny threw a fireball, Peter easily ducked his head and walked away.
In the laboratory, Richard was immersed in a pile of notes and computer data. He raised his face when he heard a knock on the door, with a gentle smile, "Peter, why are you here so early?"
"Aunt May has prepared a sumptuous dinner. I think you should join us. It is also considered family time. But if you are very busy--"
"I'm not busy." Richard stood up and picked up his coat, "Family matters and work can wait."
The two returned to the living room. Johnny was still chatting with Mayday. When he saw Richard, he immediately restrained himself.
Peter said to Richard, "She is family." Walking into the elevator, he simply explained, "She is the female version of me in another dimension."
Richard was stunned for a moment. When the elevator stopped on the first floor, he had roughly sorted out the situation.
Outside the hall, MJ drove over. Peter greeted him, "You came so fast."
MJ smiled and threw the key to him, "Of course. You don't have another driver anyway." She glanced at Mayday who was following Peter, and asked quietly, "Peter, who is this?"
"I can't explain at the moment. Let's talk after we get in the car."
Peter sat in the driver's seat, Richard sat in the passenger seat, and MJ and Mayday squeezed into the back seat. The car drove into traffic, and MJ turned around and stared at Mayday for a long time. "Who is she?"
Peter glanced at the rearview mirror and sighed, "I'm too lazy to make up lies. I'll just tell you - she is the female version of me in another world, her name is Mayday. Are you surprised?"
MJ raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"Uh-huh. Mary Jane, meet Mayday·Parker, the Spider-Girl of the world over there." Peter turned the steering wheel, "What do you think?"
MJ looked at Mayday again and suddenly smiled, "You are quite cute when you become a girl."
Peter raised the corner of his mouth. "She inherited it from her mother." Mayday's cheeks instantly turned red, and he heard the implication of this statement. Richard listened quietly and did not interrupt.
MJ's interest in Mayday continues. "Am I also a girl in your place? Is there a male version of me?"
Mayday shook his head. "No, you are still a woman."
"What a pity, the boy version of me must be very handsome." MJ pretended to sigh, then grinned again, "By the way, in that world, are you and I friends?"
Mayday nodded. "Well... almost."
MJ is very happy. Peter interjected. "Look, even if we cross dimensions, we are still friends."
The next half of the road was spent chatting between MJ and Mayday. Peter saw Mayday's unpredictable expression in the rearview mirror and was secretly happy.
The car soon returned to Queens, Richard and Peter, Mayday and MJ stopped outside the door.
Peter looked down at the phone again, and shook his head at Mayday: "No news yet. But don't worry, a lunatic who dares to blow up the city will show up sooner or later, and we will definitely catch him."
"Thank you." Mayday smiled at him.
MJ asked from the side, "Is that Spiral really so important?"
Mayday said in a serious tone, "Well, he's very smart and crazy. And he dresses like a goblin and his music taste is terrible."
Peter continued, "Have you seen that green armor? He looks like a goblin!"
"That's what I said!" Mayday and him looked at each other and smiled. MJ raised his forehead and felt that there were two versions of Peter talking crosstalk in front of him.
"Okay, how can this world bear one more of you?" MJ shook his head.
Mayday raised his eyebrows. "You make it sound like having more me is a bad thing."
Peter winked. "Well, wouldn't it be nice to have more of me in the world?" As soon as the words came out, he and Mayday suddenly froze at the same time - some terrible association flashed through their minds.
"Don't think about it!" Mayday wailed.
"I don't want to, I don't want to!" Peter shuddered, "That's the most serious chaos--"
"Shut up!" they both said in unison.
MJ laughed happily and said, "You are indeed carved out of the same mold. Okay, see you later, everyone!" After that, he skipped home.
Mayday turned to look at Peter: "Then... that's my mother?"
"Hmm. Why, she is different from your mother over there?"
"She... doesn't look like this." Mayday looked at MJ's lively back with a somewhat complicated expression.
Peter said gently, "If she had lived with me for so many years, she would have to worry about my life and death most of the time. People will mature gradually, and your father is probably not the same as me."
Mayday nodded. "You... you are completely different from my dad."
"That's his loss." Peter opened the door, "Come in and eat."
Mayday stepped into the door of the old house and looked around curiously. "Wow, the layout here is different. This is the house where I grew up."
Peter paused. "This house? Will MJ and I live here in the future?"
Mayday nodded. "Well, I grew up here."
Peter secretly made up his mind: I must get a new apartment in the future.
In the restaurant, Ben and Mei were setting the tableware. As soon as Aunt May saw the new girl, he immediately greeted him with a smile, "Dear, who is this?"
Peter rushed to say, "Aunt May, she is Mayday, I call her Mayday."
"Oh, another plum! That's great, sit down quickly and just call me Aunt May." Aunt May enthusiastically led the person to the table.
Uncle Ben also smiled at the two of them, while still talking to Richard in a low voice - from the few words, it could be heard that it was about the house loan again. Richard seemed to insist on helping them pay it off, but Uncle Ben refused without hesitation. "No, Richard, this matter is not negotiable."
Richard had no choice but to give up.
Mayday was arranged to sit down next to Peter, opposite Uncle Ben and Aunt May. She stared at the steaming lasagna in front of her, forked it into her mouth, and her eyes immediately lit up. "This is so delicious! The food my mother cooks is nothing compared to this."
Aunt May was so happy that she couldn't open her mouth from ear to ear, and Richard also laughed.
Uncle Ben also started rambling. "Mayday, where are you from?"
"I am Queens." Mayday blurted out, and was immediately kicked lightly by Peter under the table. He quickly changed his words, "I mean, I used to live in Queens, and now I move to Canada with my parents. MJ is an old friend of mine, so I stopped by to have a look."
"Oh, that's it." Uncle Ben nodded, "How did you and Peter know each other?"
Mayday got stuck, and Peter took over. "It was introduced by MJ. She said she had something to do today, so I thought, since I already have a plum at home, I might as well call another one, so that we can have two plums under the same roof. How interesting it would be."
Richard added abruptly, "As long as the world hasn't been destroyed, it means it's not a bad idea." There was laughter at the dinner table.
Uncle Ben and Aunt May began to ask Mayday all kinds of questions: what games do they like, who do they date, and which class is their favorite. Mayday answered them one by one, smiling happily. Richard listened quietly, occasionally smiling, but did not ask any further questions.
The dinner ended extremely slowly until Peter's phone vibrated.
He glanced at the screen and saw the location and a photo sent by Fury. Peter lightly touched Mayday's shoulder. She lowered her head and saw that the photo was Spiral in green armor. Mayday immediately nodded to him.
Peter stood up. "I'm sorry, Mayday has to go. I'll take her to the airport and will be back soon."
Aunt May regretted. "You have to leave so soon?"
"Well, thank you very much. I'm very happy tonight." Mayday stood up and said goodbye to Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Uncle Ben patted her shoulder. "Be careful on the road, kid."
Peter led her out. As soon as she got into the car, Richard chased her out.
Peter lowered the window and Richard poked his head in. "Have you found that interdimensional guy?"
"Well, let's catch him now."
Richard nodded, took out a syringe from his arms and handed it over. "It contains scopolamine, also called 'zombie medicine'. Once you give it a shot, he will be obedient for the next two hours. If the green-armored guy refuses to go back, give him a shot."
Peter took the potion and handed it to Mayday, with a half-smile on his face, "Thank you. But we have to have a good talk later on why you always carry this kind of brainwashing drug with you."
Richard smiled lightly, "I did it at Wyndham's place as an insurance measure for me. Pay attention to your safety, son. Mayday is also careful."
Mayday smiled at him, "Don't worry, I will keep an eye on him."
"She's obviously a little girl in red and blue tights, so that's quite a statement." Peter sneered, said goodbye, started the car, drove to a remote corner outside the community, pressed the red button, and turned on airplane mode.
The car lifted off the ground, and Mayday opened the car window and exclaimed, "This thing can fly?!"
"Hmm, I didn't tell you?"
"No!"
"Okay, now I know." Peter smiled and finalized the navigation coordinates and flew to the Hamptons.
They landed one mile away from the warehouse. Peter awkwardly changed into his uniform in the car - stripping down to his shorts in front of his future daughter, it felt really terrible. Mayday was already prepared, and took off his coat directly, revealing the uniform he had already worn.
The two of them swung to the warehouse, sneaked in silently through the skylight, and clung to the wall in the shadow.
The arachnoid crawled in the darkness and soon found its target. Spiral was taking off the armor of one arm and concentrating on repairing something.
Mayday jumped directly in front of him without saying a word: "Spiral, you're done!"
"Wait--" Peter shouted in a low voice, but it was too late, so he could only cover his face and sigh.
"Spider-Girl? How could you chase me here! Impossible!" Spiral screamed, and then hit the Snap. The armor covered his whole body again, and he raised his hand and shot out a stream of green energy.
Mayday flipped over in the air and fought close to each other. Peter folded his arms and observed in the dark: This girl's movements were neat and without any redundancy. The more she looked at it, the more gratifying she became. She punched Spiral in the jaw, and the opponent flew upside down and smashed into a pile of wooden boxes.
"Nice job." Peter thought silently in his heart.
Spiral jumped up with a roar, two machine guns suddenly popped out from its shoulders, and bullets were thrown at Mayday. She swung into the air, and bullets exploded behind her. Spiral raised her right arm, and a small missile tracked away. Mayday barely hid behind a pile of wooden boxes, and the whole pile of boxes exploded to pieces, and the shock wave slammed her into the wall.
Spiral has a plasma ball beating in his palm, approaching step by step. "It's time to end this time."
Just when he was about to launch, Peter fell from the sky and stood in front of Mayday. "That's enough." The light on his chest suddenly lit up, and the chest cannon blasted out a blazing light, hitting Spiral's chest at close range. The green-armored man was blown backwards, and his chest armor shattered.
"That's so cool..." Mayday murmured softly, and was pulled up by Peter.
"The suit is designed by Tony, but I stole some of the technology." Peter winked at her, took out the tube of scopolamine, and walked towards Spiral who fell to the ground.
Mayday followed up. "Tony doesn't care?"
"He's cool." Peter shrugged, squatted down and inserted the injection into Spiral's neck.
"Spiral?" Mayday called tentatively.
"Yes... yes." The other party responded vaguely.
"Very well, do us a favor and open the door home, okay?"
"... Okay."
Peter pulled Spiral up and dusted him off. "I'm sorry, I just shot him in the chest."
Spiral staggered and turned towards the wall, pressing a few buttons on the belt device. Peter took the opportunity to pull out the data cable from the arm armor and plug it into the interface on the belt. The microcomputer on the arm automatically began to crack and copy the transmission technology.
"What are you doing?" Mayday asked.
"Hack his belt and figure out how this thing works."
"Why?"
"Scientific natural curiosity." Peter replied casually, still paying attention to the copying progress from the corner of his eye.
Mayday didn't ask any more questions. Not long after, a huge green portal slowly opened in front of the two of them.
Mayday took off his hood, and Peter also unlocked his helmet at the same time. The two looked at each other, and for a moment they didn't know what to say.
"It seems... it's time to go." Mayday smiled.
"Yeah." Peter also took off his mask, his voice a little lower, "It's great to see you."
"Me too... Thank you, Peter." Mayday suddenly stepped forward and hugged him tightly.
Peter froze for a moment, and then slowly hugged back this girl who came from another world but shared the same blood. Aunt May, Uncle Ben, Richard, they all loved "Peter"; but the way she looked at him in front of her was like looking at a father.
The hug was short. Peter let go of her and looked into her eyes. "Take care of yourself, kid. Don't do anything I don't know how to do. And - change that damn tights for me! At least wear some armor! If you want to change equipment, come back to me at any time and I'll cover you."
Mayday laughed again, "Okay, I promise you."
Peter patted her shoulder and quickly operated the SA a few times. "I programmed the belt to self-destruct after reaching your original dimension. This guy can no longer cross dimensions. You just need to lock him in a place where no new portal can be built. Traveling through dimensions is too dangerous and must not be left in the hands of a madman."
Mayday put on the mask, tied Spiral tightly with Silk, and dragged her towards the portal step by step. The moment before stepping into the light, she turned back and waved to Peter: "Goodbye, Spider-Man."
Peter also waved in response. "Bon voyage, Spider-Girl."
The green door closed behind her, and her figure disappeared into the night.
Peter stood alone in the silent warehouse, feeling that a corner of his chest was quietly empty.
Daughter... He suddenly remembered something very important: he must remember to stock up on more boxes of sets later. Mayday, I love you, but I am too young now to be a father!
When I got home, most of the street lights were on. Peter parked the car, walked into the yard, and found Richard sitting under the porch, holding a book in his hand, and a pot of orange juice on the small table next to him. Richard saw him coming back, closed the book, and poured him a glass of orange juice.
Peter was not polite, sat down and drank half a cup.
Richard was quiet for a while before speaking, "Mayday is not my daughter, right?"
Peter could have lied, but at this moment, he was too lazy to hide it anymore, so he shook his head. "Yes. But she is my daughter - from another timeline, in that world, I was born in the 1950s."
Richard's eyes widened slightly. "She... is my granddaughter?"
Peter raised the corners of his mouth and nodded.
Richard immediately asked, "Who is her mother?" Peter picked up the cup and took another sip without saying anything. No matter how hard his father glared at him, he just sipped the orange juice slowly without spitting out a word. In fact, is that really important?
The night breeze passed through the porch, and the father and son sat and stood, one shaking his head helplessly, and the other with a youthful smile on his face.
