Peter Parker built a life as Spider-Man while balancing school, family, training, and new relationships, taking on threats from gangs to supervillains. After resisting S.H.I.E.L.D.’s pressure, he considered joining on his own terms and ended the arc closer to Felicia Hardy.
Peter balanced his work with S.H.I.E.L.D., his relationship with Felicia, and discoveries about his changing powers while helping Jean Grey learn to control hers. When Magneto tried to take Jean, Peter and the X-Men stopped him, leaving Magneto defeated.
Peter helped stop Loki’s invasion, then uncovered his parents’ connection to a Hydra serum project and traced it to Herbert Wyndham. Wyndham kidnapped Aunt May and Uncle Ben to obtain the research, leaving Peter and his allies preparing to pursue him at Treadstone.
After Doom nearly kills Peter, Felicia leaves with Walter to work against Hydra, and Peter abandons Spider-Man while struggling with grief and fear. An experiment leaves Otto transformed, and Peter seeks help at Xavier’s school as he confronts what Spider-Man means to him.
After losing his sense of purpose, Peter travels to Earth-982, reunites with another version of himself, and helps Felicia while deciding to become Spider-Man again. He returns to the Fantastic Four’s world, absorbs the Cosmic Control Rod’s energy during a battle with Annihilus, and resumes life with new gear as an Avengers distress signal arrives.
Peter learned magic from Strange, faced Mephisto, and was sent back to his original world. He chose to fight again by stopping the Sinister Six, then reunited with his family and friends as Christmas break began.
Peter helped stop Killian’s plot, rescued President Ellis, and helped Riri begin recovering after Maya’s death. He took Tandy in, explored the Negative Zone with Reed, and ended the stretch by dismantling the Street Rats Gang and deciding to investigate the corrupt officials behind street crime.
Peter faced Magneto, Harry’s emergence as Glider, and the deaths and dangers surrounding Tandy and Tyrone while pursuing his own technology projects. The arc ended with Peter investigating the Lizard after Roxxon-funded experiments wrecked Dr. Connors’s lab, then dodging an unseen threat at Empire State University.
Peter stopped Connors’s planned poison-gas attack, faced Doom’s assault alongside the Fantastic Four, and publicly revealed that he was Spider-Man. After uncovering clues that Hydra might be targeting Felicia, Peter traveled to Symkaria and found her at a royal banquet.
Peter exposed Hydra, reunited with Felicia, and announced the Heroic Age, then learned from his future children about Thanos’s coming threat. He brought Felicia, Jean, and Wanda to Kamar-Taj to learn magic and prepare for the battles ahead.
