Saved!
Hearing Li Ang's voice, Tony had never thought it sounded so wonderful!
[Tony Stark's gratitude gained: +4,000 Presence!]
With a casual tap, Li Ang shattered the ice covering the armor. Tony could finally move again, but the power was gone.
Despite his extreme reluctance, Li Ang carried him back to the ground in one hand like a puppy.
After landing, the Iron Man Armor lay on the ground. Only after the power supply system reconnected did Tony sit up and remove his faceplate.
Tony took a deep breath. "You saved me again."
Although it had happened because of his race with Li Ang, he had been the one trying to set an altitude record. If Li Ang hadn't caught up in time, he probably would have been smashed into a pulp along with his armor.
"No big deal." Li Ang gestured for Tony not to worry about it.
Of course he wouldn't watch Tony die.
He also had to hand it to a major character in the Marvel Universe: the Presence from his gratitude alone rivaled all the attention from across the world after the press conference.
Looking at Li Ang's clothes, which had become somewhat disheveled from flying, he asked, "Have you ever thought about making yourself a suit?"
"Of course. It should be finished by now." Li Ang recalled the instructions he had given the bodyguards before leaving.
Kingpin would definitely have it custom-made to his specifications. The outfit was simple enough: Homelander's uniform. As for the cape, he had something better.
"Really? Once I've refined mine a little more, I'll make you a suit of armor too!" Tony savored the feeling of flying freely earlier.
So this was how incredible it felt to fly freely!
"Then thanks in advance."
Tony was genuinely grateful to Li Ang and genuinely accepted him as a friend.
Thinking of the few bottles of fine wine he still had, along with the cover girls who kept contacting him, he had an idea.
Before he could extend an invitation, the phone in Li Ang's pocket rang.
Li Ang took it out and saw that it was Kingpin.
After he answered, Kingpin's tense voice came from the other end. "Mr. Li Ang, I've run into some trouble!"
"A big green guy has already demolished an entire warehouse of mine. My men can't stop him at all. They're all going to be killed!"
"Could you... don't worry, you'll definitely be satisfied with the payment!"
"Looks like you've got plans tonight," Tony said beside him.
Since this concerned whether he could keep enjoying life in the future, Li Ang certainly wouldn't stand by. He said helplessly, "Can't be helped. Don't forget the armor you promised me when you get back. I'll be waiting!"
With that, Li Ang shot into the sky in a thunderous, pigeon-toed pose!
Boom, boom, boom-the sounds of him breaking the sound barrier faded into the distance.
Tony's eyes widened. "JARVIS, did you see that?"
"Yes, sir. My readings indicate that Mr. Li Ang has reached Mach 7!"
At the thought that Li Ang hadn't even used his full strength earlier, Tony was so frustrated he wanted to declare that physics didn't exist anymore.
His newly kindled enthusiasm was doused. He steeled himself: once he got back, he would spend the whole night researching!
Meanwhile, Li Ang arrived above Hell's Kitchen.
It looked the same as ever. The only difference was the incessant gunfire coming from Kingpin's port in the distance!
Li Ang looked toward the sound and saw a vividly green energy source on the docks.
Energy radiated outward, and Li Ang instinctively felt repelled by that power.
"Hulk? That can't be right. According to the timeline, shouldn't he be playing hide-and-seek all over the world right now?" Li Ang activated his X-Ray Vision and quickly locked onto the target in the crowd.
It was a huge man standing a full two meters tall, but he wasn't Hulk.
His muscles bulged, and his entire body was so green it was frightening, as though he'd been cuckolded dozens of times. He kept roaring, his large eyes wide.
The man wore nothing but a pair of briefs-red ones, at that!
Kingpin's men held their guns up, muzzles spitting fire. Their bullets barely penetrated the little green man's body, only to be quickly forced out by his healing ability.
Not only did this fail to hurt him, it made him even angrier!
"Die, you gangland scum! All this merchandise is mine!" As he spoke, the little green man jumped over to a gang member.
The man cried out and tried to flee, but the little green man grabbed his foot, hoisted him up, and hurled him away!
Thud!
After a dull impact, the man was embedded in the wall, reduced to a mass of mangled flesh.
"Damn it!" Kingpin watched the little green man rampaging below, his eyes filled with anguish. The shipping containers he had smashed were full of merchandise Kingpin needed to ship out!
Where on earth had this goddamned bastard come from?
Why had he been so unlucky lately? Why did one or two mutated freaks keep popping up from everywhere to cause him trouble?
Could it really be as the Hand's madam had said-something had gone wrong at the old grave?
Before he could figure it out, nearly everyone below had been killed!
A few gang members simply threw down their guns, turned, and ran!
Why risk their lives for a few hundred bucks a month?
Seeing this, the little green man burst out laughing. "From now on, I call the shots in Hell's Kitchen!"
He threw his head back and laughed, already fantasizing about expanding and strengthening his cocaine business. He would become the world's biggest drug lord and sell drugs to every country.
As he laughed with his head thrown back, a figure descended from the sky!
The figure slammed into the ground on one knee. When he raised his head, his scarlet eyes lit up, then fired two laser beams too fast for anyone to react!
The little green man howled and was blasted to the ground as though struck by a high-pressure water cannon.
White smoke from roasting flesh rose from the places the lasers struck. The little green man howled, repeatedly trying to get up.
Li Ang was somewhat surprised that his Heat Vision hadn't sliced straight through the little green man.
This little green man really could withstand the heat. And judging by his appearance, he had most likely been affected by gamma rays, just like Hulk.
But where had these gamma rays come from?
Li Ang didn't dwell on it. Seeing that the little green man had actually withstood the attack, he increased the power again, sending out thicker, hotter beams.
This time, the little green man finally couldn't take it anymore.
Where the Heat Vision converged, the little green man's skin was sliced open, followed by his muscles, until his entire arm was severed by the Heat Vision!
The little green man howled. Then, before everyone's shocked and terrified eyes, Li Ang appeared in front of him as though teleporting and punched him in the face!
Boom!
Amid the explosive impact, the little green man's head slammed hard into the ground. He lay motionless in a deep crater...
The sight left the surrounding gang members dumbfounded.
The little green man, who had charged around like a runaway truck while they were helpless to stop him, hadn't been able to put up any resistance against Li Ang!
"Don't you think he's getting more and more brutal?" a gang member nearby whispered, his eyes filled with awe and fear of Li Ang!
"I think so too. He's absolutely terrifying."
Normally so arrogant toward street vendors, they didn't even dare speak loudly in Li Ang's presence!
Li Ang stood up, watching the little green man gradually change back, still puzzled.
But in a low building in the distance, a man wearing a purple suit had witnessed everything.
He watched Li Ang's retreating figure, his eyes filled with fervor!
"Perfect. He's simply God's creation! I must have you!"
