Before long, Tony flew back in his armor.
Seeing the state of his living room sofa, Tony stroked his little mustache. "Had a girl over?"
"I've got to say, you superhumans are freaks. You even cracked the floor having your fun."
Li Ang laughed and pointed at the sky. "If I did have a girl over, we wouldn't do it here. We'd definitely do it up there."
"You really get creative." Tony walked over to the bar to pour himself a drink.
Seeing this, Li Ang activated the Rooster Talisman's power. Tony had just picked up a glass when the bottle floated over to him.
Tony clicked his tongue in amazement, looking between the bottle and the glass, seemingly checking for some sort of mechanical arm. Once he confirmed there wasn't one, he turned his gaze to Li Ang.
"You did that?" His voice was full of disbelief.
Li Ang spread his hands. "Well, it couldn't have been aliens."
Tony reached for the bottle, but it whooshed into Li Ang's hand. With another beckoning gesture, a glass from the other side flew into Li Ang's other hand.
"You've got to teach me that!" Tony immediately came over with his glass.
"What kind of technology is this? An antigravity device?"
"Technology? This is magic!" Li Ang poured them both a drink, then took a sip and raised his eyebrows. This didn't even pack as much punch as Brave the World!
"Magic? You might as well tell me you're an alien." Tony said he didn't believe it, but he already did.
Science couldn't explain why Li Ang could shoot lasers from his eyes.
"Anyway, where do you test your armor's weapons? I want to see how strong I am now." Li Ang really wanted to test his current abilities.
"For you, a conventional test definitely wouldn't work..."
Tony sipped his drink, thinking about how to upgrade his armor again. After mulling it over, he slapped his thigh.
"I own a few islands. I'll convert one into a base. I need to upgrade my armor anyway."
The corners of Li Ang's mouth twitched. These fucking rich people really say the wildest things. 'I own a few islands.' Is that even something a normal person says?
"Forgot you were a billionaire."
"I'm not that poor! It's settled, then. I'll let you know when the renovations are done."
After leaving Tony's home, Li Ang hovered in midair, feeling his enhanced body. He looked toward the ocean, then accelerated at full speed!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
"Ha... hahaha! Hahahaha!"
Sonic booms rang out over the ocean as he flew faster and faster, the water before him racing backward.
The thrill of his speed, the waves kicked up behind him merely by his passing-Li Ang finally couldn't hold back his laughter!
By his estimate, his speed had already reached Mach 15!
That was fifteen times the speed of sound, roughly as fast as a Dongfeng-17. Never mind anything else: given some distance to fly at full speed, he wouldn't have to do anything but aim at Iron Monger and ram him.
The iron armor Iron Monger was so proud of wouldn't even count as a speed bump before Li Ang. One collision would turn him into a bloody mist.
After ramming him to death, he would say just one thing: "We're all giving life everything we've got."
Only after making a circuit over the ocean did Li Ang slowly stop. His pounding heart gradually settled, and he breathed out.
Just then, the system's voice sounded in Li Ang's mind again.
[Mission five: Nobody loves Hulk] [Bruce Banner cannot stop the Hulk within him. Neither of them intends to hurt civilians. At a time like this, a hero must step forward, defeat Hulk, calm him down, and teach them how to get along.] [Mission reward: 10 attribute points. Teaching the two to get along grants one additional Gamma Enhancement.]
Li Ang loved making friends. How did that saying go? A friend could give you a hand when it mattered.
With more friends, you could get a few more hands.
"Hulk?" The image of that big green fellow flashed through Li Ang's mind.
According to his established abilities, the guy started with a hundred tons of strength, and he only grew stronger as he got angrier, with no upper limit.
Before his upgrade, Li Ang probably could only have wrestled with Hulk, fighting him to a draw at best. But now...
He was confident he could beat Hulk. Failing that, he could still restrain him with the Rooster Talisman.
With that thought, Li Ang asked the system, "Where?"
[Culver University, Virginia]
Hearing those two familiar names, Li Ang recalled Hulk's storyline.
A military experiment had turned Banner into a huge monster. Whenever he got angry, his head would glow green, and he would turn into a giant.
After going berserk, he had destroyed many military facilities and weapons, then become a wanted man.
That old bastard Thaddeus Ross was hell-bent on catching Hulk and making him a military weapon. The two had been tangled up in their little chase for some time, one fleeing and the other pursuing.
Banner had also stayed in contact with someone called Mr. Blue.
That time at the university, he had only wanted to retrieve some data, but Ross had brought his men and cornered him.
By the time Li Ang finished recalling the plot, dusk had fallen.
The tranquil sea gently embraced the setting sun. Li Ang quietly admired the beautiful sight he had never seen in his previous life. Only when night shrouded the sky did he turn and fly toward Culver University!
On the university campus.
The grass was lush and green, and the students coming and going radiated youthful energy.
Blonde, blue-eyed girls wore standard school uniforms, making it hard to look away as they moved.
Li Ang sat on the grass, sipping a cold drink.
"Should be about time, right?" Li Ang checked his wrist. There was no watch.
He activated X-Ray Vision and soon found a man wearing a cap in the crowd, accompanied by a tall girl.
"Banner, why didn't you wait for me back then?"
"I... I just didn't want to drag you down."
As the two talked beneath a tree, Li Ang's keen hearing also picked up the sound of armored vehicles in the distance. Clearly, General Ross had already received the tip-off from Betty's current boyfriend.
Banner lowered the brim of his cap, his expression grim. Just as the two were getting lovey-dovey and about to kiss, the armored vehicles in the distance pulled up nearby.
With his X-Ray Vision, Li Ang clearly saw that old bastard General Ross inside the last armored vehicle.
"Oh, shit!" Banner cursed under his breath. With no time to explain, he pushed Betty away and ran into the university!
Seeing armored vehicles actually driving toward them, the people on the road knew trouble was coming. Nobody lingered; they all scattered in a rush.
Li Ang blended into the crowd, not planning to act just yet.
Soon, the soldiers jumped out of the armored vehicles. The special forces soldier leading them stood out in particular. After getting out, he raced after Banner at an extraordinary speed.
He left the other soldiers behind, moving like a mad donkey kicking up its heels.
That was the future Abomination.
Just as Li Ang watched Blonsky charge into the university, a figure floated among the clouds in the distant sky, staring thoughtfully at Li Ang's back.
"You're so much like me... Could you be one of my people too?"
As he spoke, his eyes held not only curiosity as he looked at Li Ang, but also an intense hunger!
It was a warrior's hunger for powerful prey!
