[The surprise is that Heat Vision gains attribute damage, such as added lightning damage, sunlight attributes, and so on.]

Li Ang understood at once. Simply put, it went from pure high-temperature physical damage to mixed damage with added attributes.

"Looks like you have something else to do," Ancient One said, pulling Li Ang out of his thoughts.

"Yes." Li Ang did not deny it.

The disciples around them cast curious looks their way, not understanding why their conversation was so cryptic.

Ancient One smiled at his answer. She could sense that everything was moving in a good direction. This was why she had brought Li Ang back.

Now that he had finished learning introductory magic, there was no need to insist he stay, given his talent.

Without this encounter, Ancient One would have worried about Li Ang being blinded by power.

Ordinary sorcerers needed to improve their efficiency in sensing magic at weak points in the connections between multiverses, but Li Ang had no such need. He seemed able to sense magic from birth.

If an entity from the Dark Dimension noticed and guided someone with such talent, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"If you need help, come to me anytime."

After Ancient One finished speaking, sparks flew behind Li Ang, and a person-height portal appeared, revealing Li Ang's manor.

It was nighttime there, with only a few scattered lights on in the manor.

"Thank you."

After thanking her, Li Ang walked into the manor. Once the portal closed, he looked around, still a little unaccustomed to it. The feeling of jumping between scenes was simply too unreal.

After confirming that he was back at the manor, the first thing Li Ang did was call the chefs and have them prepare a whole table of food!

Nobody liked working overtime, especially at two or three in the morning.

But Li Ang had just one thing to say: extra pay! Twenty thousand dollars per person!

Money was the best stimulant.

In less than an hour, a table piled with meat and fish was served. If Kamar-Taj's food could be described in one sentence, it was cucumber salad without smashed garlic: cucumber went in, cucumber came out, and all it did in between was pass through some water.

It was far too bland. Eating those meals that were like vegetarian temple fare, Li Ang had thought back to bargain group-order meals several times.

After devouring every last bit of meat and fish on the table, Li Ang was finally satisfied.

Late autumn, a chilly night.

On a street in Hell's Kitchen stood a young man in his early twenties. He looked somewhat ill at ease and pushed up his glasses. After much deliberation, he followed a woman into an alley.

Every move they made was witnessed by a Black man crouching on a distant rooftop.

The Black man was expressionless. Notably, despite it being nighttime, he was still wearing sunglasses.

"Right here?" The young man sounded a little nervous.

He raised his head and looked at the woman before him. She was blonde and blue-eyed, wrapped tightly in a trench coat, with a pair of red-soled high heels on her feet.

The woman lightly bit her lip, her eyes flirtatious, her long golden hair draped over her chest in graceful curves.

"Yes. Don't you like doing it outside?" By the time the woman spoke, she had already moved in front of him.

The young man was clearly a head taller than her, but at that moment, he was like a child.

Without wasting any more words, the woman opened her trench coat and threw herself straight into his arms!

The softness against his chest and the hands roaming over his back made the young man begin to respond. As the woman inhaled his scent, her eyes grew hazy.

Horrifyingly, two fangs grew in her mouth, and her eyes turned scarlet!

"What a pure scent. Oh, what's poking me?"

The woman made a puzzled sound and turned, only to see a shotgun!

"You... you're!"

The man holding the gun against her was Black, and she could not have been more familiar with him: the Daywalker!

"Hello, Bella McCoy!" Blade said slowly, his finger already on the trigger, his gaze behind his sunglasses utterly cold.

"As for you, you horny unlucky bastard, get out of here."

As Blade spoke, he looked at the calm-faced young Asian man. Though he did not understand why the man was so composed, ordinary people were far too helpless against vampires.

"You damned half-breed!" Bella roared, but wariness of the gun in Blade's hands kept her from moving.

Bella hated Blade to the core, and Blade felt the same.

Just as the two were about to fight to the death, the young man spoke.

"Hey, could you stop ignoring me like this?"

His voice was calm but powerful. Only then did the two turn their attention to Li Ang. Once he took off his glasses, his entire presence abruptly changed!

Blade even stepped back half a pace, his heartbeat suddenly accelerating!

"Who exactly are you?" Bella now sensed that something was wrong too.

He looks so familiar. Why couldn't I tell before?

Li Ang did not answer. He simply raised his hand, seized Bella by the throat, and lifted her off the ground!

The sudden suffocation flushed Bella's face red, but strangely, a trace of excitement lurked deep in her eyes!

She grabbed Li Ang's hand, and after her fingernails lengthened, she raked them across his arm.

The blood pouring out as she had imagined never materialized. Beneath his clothes, there was not even a white mark!

Sweat had already appeared on Blade's forehead.

"Me? I'm just passing through. As for you, Bella, there are a few things I'd like your help with."

Li Ang released his grip as he spoke. Strangely, Bella remained suspended in midair, her eyes full of disbelief.

"You're Li Ang?" Blade recognized him.

It could be said that in New York now, from eighty-year-old men and women down to eight-year-old brats, nobody was unaware of this superhero.

"Correct. Unfortunately, there's no prize."

With both hands in his pockets, Li Ang sized up Blade. He was indeed the Blade he remembered: sunglasses, trench coat, long sword, and an air of being the ultimate poser.

"I came to discuss working together."

Before Blade could answer, Bella, floating off to the side, spoke up. "You want to work with this half-breed?"

Li Ang frowned. "Shut up!"

With that, the Gravity Capture Net instantly activated.

Bella wailed as she was crushed straight to the ground, pressed so tightly against it that even her breasts were flattened!

The pain did not contort her expression. Instead, she raised her head to meet Li Ang's gaze, which looked at her as though she were trash, her heart filled with a fluttering thrill and yearning.

It was submission to and worship of the strong.

It had been almost a hundred years, and she had never felt anything like this!

Blade was dumbfounded. He had investigated Bella and knew she was an extremely unusual existence among vampires.

By absorbing blood, she could temporarily acquire its owner's abilities.

He had come this time to take her to Whistler, his mentor, for some research, to see if her ability could be replicated.

He had even prepared plenty of equipment specifically to deal with Bella this time. Yet to his surprise, Bella could not even resist in front of Li Ang!

At the same time, a plan formed in his mind.

Could he use Li Ang's help to eliminate New York's vampires?

At that thought, Blade forced the corners of his mouth apart into a smile. "What kind of cooperation did you want to discuss?"

"I want you to help me find someone named Deacon Frost."

Hearing that name, confusion flashed through Blade's eyes. He did not understand why Li Ang wanted to find Deacon. Did they have a grudge too?

"What do you want with Lord Deacon?"
