"Bella, is this your new friend?"
A woman who looked like a wealthy socialite walked over, her waist swaying with each step. She had short hair and held a wineglass.
"Yes," Bella answered with a smile.
The woman ran her tongue over her red lips, making no attempt to hide her hunger for Li Ang. "You must taste delicious."
Merely commenting wasn't enough for her. She reached out and ran her manicured nails across Li Ang's chest, taking him for prey Bella had just lured in.
As for who was the hunter and who was the prey in this bar, that remained to be seen.
While the others whispered among themselves, Li Ang spoke.
His gaze swept over everyone as he called out, "Which one of you is Deacon Frost?"
That single question silenced every conversation.
"Who is this kid? So damn cocky."
"He looks pretty fit. Wonder how he tastes."
"Heh, an idiot who doesn't even know he's about to die."
The whispers around him reached Li Ang's ears, but no one answered him.
Just then, a young man nearby wearing a black jacket and tall cowboy boots spoke. "What do you want with Deacon?"
Bella jumped when she saw him approach.
She took the opportunity to lean close to Li Ang and whispered, "That's Deacon."
With his identity revealed, Li Ang looked him up and down. He appeared to be twenty-six or twenty-seven, his skin as pale as a wax figure, without a trace of color.
His lips, however, were vividly red, and his blue eyes were filled with contempt.
Yes, contempt.
Deacon set down his glass and ignored Li Ang entirely, addressing Bella instead. "Why did you bring a yellow monkey this time?"
Bella's legs went weak with fright at those words.
She knew all too well how brutal Li Ang, standing beside her, could be. In the publicly shown footage, no one had survived any of the few times he had struck!
Scarlet light flashed in Li Ang's eyes at those words.
"You're Deacon?"
"You lowly creature. You think you're worthy of speaking to me?" Deacon's expression was mocking.
To him, anyone without vampire blood didn't deserve to be called intelligent life. They were no different from pigs, horses, cattle, or sheep.
Li Ang lost interest in continuing the conversation. Now that his identity was confirmed, all he had to do was kill him.
Just then, a bright red drop of blood fell.
It struck Li Ang's shoulder, splashing into crimson droplets.
The feast had begun!
Deacon licked his lips. At the same time, Li Ang took off his glasses. The next second, white light appeared at his waist and swept over his entire body as though transforming him!
A blue suit appeared out of thin air, its cape hanging naturally behind him. Every vampire around him froze at the sight.
They rose to their feet together, their eyes showing not fear, but hunger and desire!
"What a pure aura!" Several of the strongest-looking vampires stepped out of the crowd.
Deacon frowned at Li Ang's transformation, then sneered. "No matter how strong you are, you're alone. We can't be killed!"
With that, every sprinkler inside the bar opened up, and blood rained down!
The socialite from earlier attacked first.
She roared, all her earlier elegance gone, and lunged at him like a beast ready to devour someone!
She moved so fast that Bella didn't even have time to react.
But Li Ang interrupted that seemingly certain pounce with even greater speed!
He raised a hand and clamped it around the woman's neck, then exerted strength through his arm. Thud!
Everything from her neck to her head exploded in Li Ang's hand!
The surrounding vampires swarmed him. Li Ang activated the Rooster Talisman's power, instantly holding every vampire around him in place.
Then the stone walls around them cracked inch by inch. With a sharp sweep of Li Ang's hand, chunks of stone shot out like bullets, piercing straight through all the vampires!
Their bodies collapsed limply into the blood already pooling on the floor.
Unexpectedly, however, the fallen vampires soon stood back up, their bodies recovering at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Li Ang frowned, then glanced at the socialite's still-twitching body nearby and immediately understood.
"Not bad. Makes me want to catch a few and keep them for fun!"
"He can't kill us! Get him together!"
Deacon seemed to regain his confidence. Just then, a gunshot rang through the bar.
A vampire flew backward, then turned to ash upon hitting the floor!
"These vampires can only be killed with silver," Blade's voice rang out.
Venom flashed in Deacon's eyes when he saw Blade. "You bastard!"
Before he could say anything else, Li Ang appeared beside him as though teleporting, while every vampire in his path was smashed into a mist of blood!
This time, those vampires didn't come back to life.
Because even vampires couldn't revive endlessly, especially these ordinary vampires who had been turned.
They might recover from losing an arm or a leg, but once reduced to minced flesh, how could they retain the consciousness to repair themselves?
Fear finally flashed in Deacon's eyes. Just as he tried to resist, Li Ang punched him in the mouth!
Li Ang hadn't used his full strength, but the blow still left Deacon seeing stars. He clutched his head and fell to his knees.
Just as Li Ang was about to give Deacon a few more good punches, the socialite spoke. "If you dare kill him, the vampires won't let you get away with it!"
Her head had only grown back halfway, strands of blood waving about in a thoroughly nauseating sight.
The surrounding vampires likewise glared at Li Ang in fury.
Li Ang narrowed his eyes. Scarlet light flashed in their depths, then suddenly blazed, brilliant even amid the rain of blood!
His Heat Vision swept around in an instant, striking every vampire who failed to dodge. Like a hot knife through butter, it cut through them with a series of sizzling sounds!
"Aah!"
The vampires struck by his Heat Vision wailed as their bodies split apart, then turned to ash and vanished!
The sight terrified the surrounding vampires.
Li Ang wasn't surprised. Heat Vision was itself extremely high temperatures and light radiation, and light radiation was lethal to these bloodsucking bastards!
The socialite had narrowly escaped, but her earlier arrogance was gone.
"Just you wait! The vampires won't let you get away with this!" With that, she turned to flee.
But someone was already waiting for her at the entrance.
"Die, bitch!" Blade cursed, swinging his long blade in an instant. The two quickly became locked in combat.
Having witnessed what happened, Deacon finally panicked. He knelt in the pool of blood, three teeth knocked out by that punch, bright red blood running into his collar.
He tried to stand, but his knees had barely risen three inches off the floor when Li Ang planted a foot on his shoulder!
Crack.
Half his shoulder blade shattered. Deacon screamed as his upper body slammed back into the bloody water.
The vampires around them who had survived by sheer luck were still whispering, but their earlier eager looks had all turned to fear.
"You... you can't kill me!" Deacon lay sprawled on the floor, his voice muffled and his mouth full of blood. "I'm a direct descendant of the Frost Family! We have direct ties to the Vampire Council!"
