Two Fireworks

"Kneel!"

Seated at the head of the room was Purple Man.

Purple Man could control other people's minds by releasing pheromones, and this ability had never failed him.

He had never encountered anyone who could resist this power.

He called this ability a gift from heaven!

With this power, he could do whatever he pleased!

Previously, in Hell's Kitchen, he had received word and planned to go control the little green man to protect himself.

But Li Ang had appeared and easily defeated the green man, utterly at ease!

He admired him, craved him, envied him!

This was simply the finest loyal hound God could have given him, so after investigating, he had learned the location of Li Ang's manor from Kingpin's men.

"Now, bow before your new master!"

As Purple Man spoke, he was lost in his own world, as though he would see Li Ang kneel the very next second and then obey his every command.

The egomaniac before him made the corners of Li Ang's mouth twitch a few times.

He took two steps forward, his voice almost cold enough to freeze. "Who the fuck do you think you are?"

The smile on Purple Man's face froze.

Confusion crossed his face, and purple veins surfaced beneath his skin. Excitement filled his eyes as he said, "As expected of the loyal hound I chose. You can actually resist!"

Only Li Ang could see the purple vapor drifting out of Purple Man's body as the controlled maids around them slowly rose.

Their movements mechanical, they unconsciously gathered together and charged at Li Ang!

"If that's what you're relying on, you won't be leaving here today." Li Ang's tone was unexpectedly flat.

He raised his hand and instantly cast a Gravity Capture Net, pinning the maids to the floor!

Just as his eyes lit up and he prepared to fire a blast of Heat Vision at Purple Man, a fluttering came from the distance. Li Ang turned his head and saw a bat hurtling through the air.

Once it landed, it was none other than the missing Bella.

"You're finally back!" Bella's voice was coquettish, tinged with reproach.

"This purple-skinned man showed up a month after you left. If I couldn't fly, he'd have controlled me too!"

Hearing this, Li Ang fixed his gaze on Purple Man again and gave him a friendly smile.

Panic had already flashed through Purple Man's eyes. He did not understand why Li Ang was immune to his pheromone control.

With his previously infallible superpower failing him, Purple Man began to panic.

He had just stood up when he sensed Li Ang's gaze change, becoming intensely captivating. He froze for an instant, and the scene before his eyes abruptly changed!

It was no longer a luxurious hall, but a stretch of nothingness.

Gradually, pinpricks of starlight lit up, followed by an enormous dark shadow that enveloped the entire galaxy.

"What... is this?" Purple Man muttered to himself, staring in disbelief at everything unfolding before him. A shadow whose body blotted out the entire universe appeared before his eyes.

It was an unknown deity, its horror indescribable. Its immense, writhing outline changed shape every second, but no matter how it changed, Purple Man could sense that it was alive.

Chaotic information battered his brain, leaving him unable to think!

"Ah... Aaah!!!"

Purple Man began screaming like a madman.

But there was no sound in the silent universe.

"What's wrong with him?" Bella asked Li Ang beside her as she watched Purple Man inexplicably go mad.

Li Ang shrugged. He had only wanted to test the power of the Eye of Miskatonic just now. He had not expected a single look to drive Purple Man insane.

In the hall, Purple Man stared blankly at the ceiling.

His temples began to throb. A blood vessel bulged beneath his skin like a worm, and then every muscle in his face began twitching on its own.

Then the purple pheromones began gathering in his brain.

And then, pop!

Purple Man's head exploded outright, bursting into a purple firework.

Beside him, Bella cried out in an exaggerated, affected voice, "Oh my!"

While Li Ang was pondering why Purple Man had exploded, Bella slipped straight into his arms.

The sudden impact of her soft body made Li Ang instinctively stand at attention.

"Oh my, what's poking me?"

Bella chided him and lowered her head, only to see a vial of blue serum. When she looked up, she met Li Ang's meaningful smile.

She instinctively craved it. With her sense of smell, she could detect the tremendous power hidden within the vial.

She lightly pressed her red lips together, her throat bobbing, her eyes filled with longing.

"All right! Stop sleeping and clean up the hall!" Li Ang called out, and the maids shakily got to their feet.

They looked around blankly, all startled when they saw Purple Man's headless corpse.

Once the maids had gone to find tools and started cleaning, Li Ang took Bella to the garden.

Li Ang lay back in a lounge chair and held up a vial of Compound V5. "This is a new compound I acquired. It can give ordinary people superpowers."

"As for the specific ability, that depends entirely on the individual. Do you want it?"

Bella crouched beside Li Ang, pressing her cheek against the back of his hand. "I do."

"Hehe, you're not getting it!" Li Ang shook his head with a laugh. How could he know whether Bella was sincere? If he gave it to her and she went off to do evil, wouldn't he bear the karma?

"You're awful!" As Bella spoke, her gaze shifted from Compound V5 to fix on Li Ang.

"Are you worried I'll betray you?"

She was very clever and had seen through Li Ang's concerns.

"Don't worry. All the blood I've drunk lately was bought from blood banks, and... I've been guarding the manor for you for almost half a year."

Anyone could say pretty words. Li Ang narrowed his eyes, and a brilliant galaxy appeared within them once again.

"Do you mean that?"

He could now determine whether Bella's words were true or false.

When someone lied, their soul would distort.

"It's true. I'm utterly devoted to you-ah, no, utterly loyal!"

The corners of Li Ang's mouth twitched, because Bella's soul had changed when she said "loyal," but not when she said "devoted"!

And he could vaguely sense Bella's thoughts. She fucking wants to ride me!

Li Ang coughed twice, took out a vial of V5, and handed it to Bella. "Then I'll give you one, so nothing happens to the manor again."

Bella accepted the V5 as though she had received a priceless treasure!

Li Ang glanced at the Uru Metal nearby, thought for a moment, and said, "All right, inject it here. I still have something to deliver in a bit."

"Right here?" After much hesitation, Bella decided to do as Li Ang said.

She pulled out the syringe, then plunged it into her arm!

Pfft.

The needle easily pierced her skin and flesh, and soon all the blue serum had been injected.

Bella's entire body stiffened. Then she wrapped her arms around herself and began trembling all over!

"Ah..." Bella let out an irrepressible moan. Li Ang saw veins rise across her face, her expression filled with pain!

"It hurts. It hurts so much!"

The moment the words left her mouth, Bella's entire body swelled up. Then, pop!

She exploded too!

"What the fuck?" Li Ang stood up in shock. That shouldn't have happened!
