The Professor had still wanted to say something to Li Ge.
But when he saw Li Ge turn his gaze toward Cyclops, he remembered their original purpose.
Whatever he had to say could wait until later. The most important thing now was to see whether Li Ge could solve Cyclops's problem.
"Scott, don't worry!"
"Li Ge's ability is so powerful. He can definitely solve your problem."
Phoenix came to Cyclops's side, though it was unclear whether she was trying to encourage him or herself.
"I'm fine, Jean!"
"Even if we can't solve it, it's no big deal. After all these years, I've long since gotten used to it."
Cyclops took one of Phoenix's hands and squeezed it, comforting her instead.
Wolverine glanced at their clasped hands without saying a word. There was no telling what he was thinking.
The Professor and Storm watched them quietly as well.
Li Ge jumped off the bed and, without further talk, motioned for Cyclops to lead the way to the training ground.
After all, he had been unconscious earlier and didn't know the way.
The group returned to the training ground.
Once again, Li Ge and Cyclops stood in the middle while the others stood in a corner.
Li Ge didn't immediately design an ability for Cyclops. After all, this wasn't like designing abilities for himself, where he could do whatever he wanted.
He still needed to ask Cyclops for his opinion.
"Scott, do you have any ideas about how to fix the flaw in your ability?"
"Or any requirements? Tell me, and I'll help you come up with a proper design."
Li Ge asked about Cyclops's requirements. After all, how could a good designer not understand his client's needs?
"Li Ge, I only have one requirement: let me take off these glasses!"
"As for everything else, design it however you see fit. I trust you!"
Cyclops made no additional requests. He chose to trust Li Ge's intelligence.
After all, a genius who could design a world was undeniably intelligent, even if most of the credit went to his mutant ability.
He looked forward to seeing what sort of ability Li Ge would design for him.
Of course, Li Ge wouldn't disappoint Cyclops's trust.
In truth, Li Ge had already come up with an idea when Cyclops asked him to help fix the flaw in his ability.
Cyclops's ability was essentially a portal to an energy space that couldn't be closed.
As long as he could control the portal's opening and closing, his inability to shut off his laser beams could be resolved.
All Li Ge needed to do was add an energy-circulation ability to Cyclops's eyes, allowing him to decide whether to fire the laser energy or return it to the space.
But Li Ge didn't want to solve Cyclops's problem so simply.
As this was his first creation, Li Ge decided to give Cyclops an epic upgrade.
Cyclops's ability was mainly centered on his eyes, and whenever eyes came up, one couldn't help thinking of that legend of eyes.
There was so much energy in Cyclops's laser space. He couldn't let it go to waste.
That settles it. Sharingan!
Li Ge decided to use the Sharingan as a reference to design a new set of methods for Cyclops to use his laser energy.
First came Susanoo. This signature Sharingan ability couldn't be left out.
But a Westerner like Cyclops using the form of a Japanese warrior just didn't look right.
He had to move with the times. He couldn't be too conservative.
The laser energy was dark red, and every time Cyclops used his ability, he caused tremendous destruction. Didn't that fit the image of demons in Western legends perfectly?
Then I'll make it a bat-winged, goat-horned demon clad in lava armor, holding a sword and shield, with a longbow slung at its side!
It needed both close-range and long-range attacks, as well as movement and flight capabilities.
Right, I'll use Cyclops's own face.
I'll call it Demon True Form. I'm sure the other demons won't have any objections.
As for its size, naturally, the more energy it had, the larger it would be.
But he couldn't have Cyclops unleash his ultimate at the drop of a hat. He also needed something he could use at normal size.
Then I'll design an ability that lets Cyclops transform into a demon. It'll have everything Demon True Form has, only fitted entirely to his normal size.
But with so much energy at Cyclops's disposal, wouldn't it be a waste to have him expend just a little when using his abilities?
Besides, Demon True Form needed enough energy to condense. He might as well design it like the manifestations of gods and Buddhas.
Then he would open an energy-storage space within Cyclops's consciousness, specifically for housing Demon True Form and strengthening it with energy.
As the space expanded and Demon True Form grew stronger, combined with his demon transformation...
Perhaps, with the Laser Energy Dimension continuously supplying him, Cyclops could one day gain complete control over the Laser Energy Dimension in turn.
And become a new Dimensional Demon God!
As for the Sharingan's insight, copying, and illusions...
There were no ninjutsu in this world to copy, so copying could be discarded outright.
Cyclops didn't look like someone suited to delicate work like illusions, so that could be removed as well.
Only insight had the greatest practical use, so that could stay.
In truth, this much was already more or less enough.
But Li Ge didn't want his creation, Cyclops, to have any major weaknesses.
He still didn't have any soul-related abilities!
Since he had so much energy anyway, Li Ge would find a solution through that energy.
After some thought, Li Ge recalled Ghost Rider with his flaming skull.
Since Ghost Rider's fire could burn souls directly, why couldn't Cyclops's energy?
Then he would give the energy under Cyclops's control the ability to burn souls.
But no matter how powerful an ability was, it couldn't compare to one's own strength. Strengthening Cyclops's soul was what truly mattered.
The same principle applied: he just needed to make the energy under Cyclops's control capable of strengthening his soul.
As for the Sharingan's evolution, Li Ge didn't intend to add that ability to Cyclops's eyes.
What he had designed was already enough for Cyclops to work through slowly. If he wanted other abilities, he could find ways to develop them himself once his soul was strong enough.
After all, Li Ge hadn't locked the abilities he designed against change, preventing Cyclops from developing them himself.
Despite all that, very little time had actually passed.
Having strengthened his soul with energy for so long, Li Ge had also enhanced his mental strength, thinking speed, and ability to learn and remember.
In only about a minute, Li Ge had thought of all of this.
He took a fresh blank card from his pocket. Rather than starting with an ability orb again, he directly manifested and sealed the ability into the card.
Under Li Ge's control, energy from the Redstone already placed within his dimensional world gathered onto the card.
An image of an eye appeared on the card, with three black tomoe slowly rotating within its red pupil.
Below it was a description: [Sharingan: opens an energy space, strengthens the soul, perceives all things, nurtures Demon True Form, controls energy, burns souls, transforms the user into a demon]
Li Ge hadn't sealed much energy inside. After all, his reserves hadn't yet reached the point where he could use energy without restraint, and Cyclops hardly looked like someone who would lack energy.
