The sound of police sirens cut through the night sky sharply, and the alternating red and blue police lights dyed the entire street into a strange color. The crowd screamed and fled in all directions. The sound of high heels hitting the ground, the sound of breaking glass, and the sound of cars braking suddenly mixed together to form a chaotic symphony.
In the middle of the street lay the body of a woman dressed in white. She looked to be no more than 20 years old. Her long blond hair was scattered on the cold asphalt road. There was a huge stab wound on her chest that could be seen on the road beneath her body. Her white dress had been soaked in blood.
Time stood still at this moment.
Castiel stood quietly next to the corpse. He was wearing his iconic windbreaker with a tightly buttoned collar. There was no expression on his face, but there was a trace of imperceptible sadness in his deep blue eyes. He slowly squatted down, stretched out his slender fingers, and gently closed the woman's wide eyes.
"Goodbye, sister." His voice was low and hoarse, as if he was talking to himself.
Before the words were spoken, Castiel's figure disappeared.
A few seconds later, the first group of police arrived at the scene. They raised their guns and cautiously approached the body, but were stunned speechless by the sight before them. The helicopter's searchlight swept from the sky, clearly illuminating the ground - around the woman's body, there was a pair of huge, burnt angel wings. A faint white smoke was still rising from the edges of the wings, and the asphalt road had been melted by the high temperature, showing a twisted black color.
Impala was driving on a dark road, and the car lights were like two sharp swords, cutting through the boundless darkness. There was silence in the car, only the sound of rock music coming intermittently from the radio, mixed with the sizzling noise of electricity.
Dean is holding the steering wheel, his eyes are looking forward blankly, his face is full of exhaustion and fear. Sam is sitting in the passenger seat, leaning his head on the window, looking at the rapidly reversing scenery outside the window, and is worried.
Bai Haorui was lying on the back seat, adjusting his breath with his eyes closed. He was wearing a black hoodie, with the hood pulled low, covering most of his face. Only a glimmer of purple-gold light occasionally flashed from his fingertips, revealing the True Gang that was running in his body. His breathing was long and steady, and every time he exhaled, he could feel the slight vibration of the surrounding air.
Sam was the first to break the silence. "Ruby will meet us outside the city of Cheyenne. She has been following the clues of Lilith." He paused and glanced at Dean's profile carefully, "I know she is not on your Christmas list, but if she can help us find Lilith--"
"Hey, man, I don't care whether you cooperate with Ruby or not." Dean interrupted him with a cold tone.
Sam turned his head sharply and raised his voice unconsciously. "Then what's your problem?"
Dean slammed the steering wheel, and Impala let out a piercing whistle. "Pamela didn't want to get involved in these things at all. It was us who dragged her into the water, Sam!" There was irrepressible anger in his voice, "She could have lived her life quietly, without having to worry about being torn apart by demons every day, or watching her house turn into a battlefield!"
"She knows the stakes," Sam argued. "She knows if we fail, everyone will die."
Dean sneered, and the laughter was full of self-deprecation. "Oh, yes, saving the world. We did a damn good job." His voice was trembling a little, "I thought about it all night last night, if it wasn't for Haorui, then whether Pamela could survive. If it wasn't for Haorui..."
"I said I wouldn't let that happen. Never."
Bai Haorui's voice came from the back seat, calm but unquestionable firmness. He opened his eyes, his black eyes flashed with purple-gold light. He sat up, leaned on the back of the chair, and looked at Dean's back.
Dean took a deep breath and wiped his face vigorously. He glanced at Bai Haorui in the rearview mirror and said in a low voice, "Then get angry."
After saying that, he stepped on the accelerator suddenly. Impala made a low roar, like a wild beast that had broken free of its restraints, accelerating into the boundless darkness.
After driving for three or four hours, the three of them saw a roadside hotel. They got the car, opened the room, took the key and walked to the door. Dean opened the door and walked in. A damp and moldy smell hit their faces. Sam and Bai Haorui followed behind, closed the door and turned on the light.
The moment the lights came on, the three people stopped at the same time.
Uriel and Castiel are standing in the middle of the room, with their backs to them.
Uriel slowly turned around. He was tall, half a head taller than Castiel. He was wearing a crisp black suit and his hair was combed meticulously. His facial features were sharp and angular, and his eyes were as cold as Siberia The cold wind of swept over Winchester Brothers, and finally fell on Bai Haorui, full of unabashed killing intent. It was a look at the prey, a look that wanted to crush the opponent completely.
Castiel stood next to Uriel, his head lowered, unable to see clearly the expression on his face. His shoulders were slightly slumped, and he looked a little tired.
"Home, a broken home, and two even worse angels." Dean said tiredly, throwing the key on the table.
"Winchester... and Winchester." Uriel's voice said without any fluctuation, "And you, Eastern heretic."
Dean rolled his eyes. "Oh, please! Can you give it a fresher title? I'm tired of hearing it."
"We need you." Uriel said.
"'Need'?" Dean seemed to have heard some big joke. He took a step forward and glared at Uriel, "We just came back from the place where we were 'needed'! More than thirty demons almost killed our friends! We almost couldn't even save our own bodies! Now you are here to 'need' us again?"
"Pay attention to the tone of your words when you speak to me." Uriel's eyes became even colder.
"No, it's you who pay attention to the tone you speak to us!" Dean's voice became louder and louder, "We just crawled back from the hell gate, and you came to the door as if urging us to die. What do you think we are? Your dogs? We come and go away as soon as you call them."
He turned sharply to Castiel, his voice full of anger. "Pamela--you know, psychic medium Pamela? Do you remember, Cas? It was you who burned her eyes out. Eyes. Remember? What a wonderful time! Then she died to save you a damn seal. Oh no, she didn't die, it was Haorui who saved her. So, maybe you can stop treating us like chess pieces, just for five fucking minutes!"
"We rescued you from Hell for our purpose." Uriel said coldly.
"Yes, what is the purpose?" Dean spread his hands, "What do you want from me? A thank you? A kiss?"
"The first thing is to be grateful."
Castiel took a step forward and said softly, "Dean, we know this is difficult to understand."
"And we don't care." Uriel interrupted him, "Now, seven angels have been murdered. They are all members of our garrison. The last one was killed tonight."
"Did the devil do it?" Sam asked.
"How did they do it?" Dean frowned.
"We don't know." Uriel said.
Dean spread his hands. "Sorry, but what does this have to do with us? A demon with the ability to kill angels is definitely beyond our capabilities. We can deal with ordinary demons ourselves, thank you very much. We will wait until you find out who did it."
"So you need our help... hunting demons?" Sam asked.
"Not exactly." A cruel smile appeared on Uriel's lips, "We caught Alastair."
Dean's body froze slightly, and a complicated look flashed in his eyes. "Great." He pretended to be calm and said, "He should be able to tell who your murderer is."
"But he refused to speak. Alastair's will is very strong. We tried all our methods, but we couldn't get him to say a word. We were at an impasse."
"Yes, he is a black belt in torture." Dean sneered, "You pampered angels are no match for him."
"So we came to find his student." Uriel's gaze was like a knife on Dean, "You happen to be the most qualified interrogator we have. Dean, you are our best hope."
There was a "clang" sound.
Dean took a step back and bumped into the table behind him. The glass on the table fell to the ground and shattered. His face turned pale, his lips trembled slightly, and his eyes were full of resistance.
Bai Haorui immediately took a step forward and stood in front of Dean.
He stood there quietly, the air around him seemed to have solidified. The purple-gold True Gang slowly flowed out of his body, forming a faint halo around him. His eyes looked at Uriel coldly, without any emotion, but the murderous intent in his eyes was even stronger than that of Uriel just now.
"Say it again." Bai Haorui's voice was not high, but it carried a heart-stopping sense of oppression.
Uriel sneered and looked Bai Haorui up and down. "What? You want to go for him? Forget it, you don't deserve me to waste my saliva! A humble mortal dares to be presumptuous in front of me."
"I'm not worthy?" Bai Haorui tilted his head slightly, "Then are you worthy? You hide behind and give orders and let others do dirty things. You don't even have the courage to face Alastair directly, and you still have the nerve to point fingers here. You are just a coward hiding under the halo of Heaven."
"Presumptuous!"
Uriel roared, and a dazzling white holy light erupted from his body. The intense light pierced people's eyes, and all the light bulbs in the room burst instantly. He raised his right hand, and a long sword burning with blazing holy light appeared out of thin air in his hand. The sword was about three feet long, and its body was pure white. It was engraved with complex Enochian runes, exuding a sense of holiness mixed with destruction.
"Death, heretic!"
Uriel jumped up, held the sword in both hands, and struck hard at Bai Haorui's head. The sword wind roared, with enough power to tear steel, and the air was split open by the sword, making a sharp explosion.
Bai Haorui doesn't dodge or avoid.
He raised his left hand, and the purple-gold True Gang instantly condensed into a thick shield. Flame-like lines flowed on the surface of the shield, exuding a scorching aura.
"Clang--!"
There was a deafening bang.
The holy light sword struck the True Gang shield, causing sparks to fly. The huge impact spread to all directions, all the glass in the room shattered, and spider web-like cracks appeared on the walls. The floor trembled slightly under the two people's feet, and dust fell from the ceiling.
Uriel only felt a huge counter-shock force coming from the long sword, which made his jaw numb and his arms sore. He was shocked, he didn't expect this mortal's power to be so powerful.
Missing a hit, Uriel turned his wrist and swept the long sword with a sharp wind, slashing towards Bai Haorui's waist. The sword was fast and cruel, with a tricky angle. If it was hit, even steel would be split into two.
Bai Haorui's figure flashed, floating back two meters like a ghost, just in time to avoid the sword. The holy light sword grazed the corner of his clothes, leaving a deep scorch mark on the wall.
At the moment when Uriel's old strength had been exhausted and new strength had yet to be regenerated, Bai Haorui flicked his right hand, and three True Gang needles as thin as hair shot out of the air. The True Gang needles were purple-gold in color and were too fast to be caught by the naked eye. With a sharp sound, they went straight to Uriel's eyebrows, throat and heart.
Uriel's expression changed, and he hurriedly unleashed his angelic power and abruptly changed the angle of the sword to block it in front of him.
"Ding ding ding!"
Three crisp snaps.
All three True Gang needles were bounced away by the sword and embedded deeply into the wall behind, leaving only three small black holes.
At the moment when Uriel's burst of angel power paused, Bai Haorui had already rushed in front of Uriel. He concentrated all his True Gang on his right fist, and the fist shone with dazzling purple-gold light, and there were faint red flames beating.
"Bang!"
Bai Haorui's fist hit Uriel's chest hard.
Uriel had no time to dodge, so he could only block with his left arm in a hurry.
"Crack!"
A clear Bones breaking sound sounded.
Uriel's left arm was bent at a weird angle. The huge force knocked him away and hit the wall behind him hard. A large human-shaped crater was knocked out of the wall, and masonry debris flew everywhere. Uriel spat out a mouthful of golden blood, his eyes filled with disbelief, anger and shock.
But Bai Haorui didn't give him any chance to breathe. He touched the ground with his toes, and his body flashed again, rushing in front of Uriel like an arrow. His right hand turned into a claw, and the fingertips flashed with sharp True Gang light, and he clawed towards Uriel's throat. If this claw was firm, Uriel's throat would definitely be torn to pieces in an instant.
"Stop!"
At this moment, Castiel suddenly stood in front of Uriel. He opened his arms and protected Uriel with his body.
Bai Haorui's claws stopped abruptly only an inch away from Castiel's throat. The sharp claw wind caused Castiel's cheeks to hurt, and several strands of hair were cut off and fell to the ground.
"Get out of the way." Bai Haorui's eyes were cold and unwavering.
"I can't let you kill him." Castiel's voice was a little hoarse.
"He's been looking for trouble."
"I know." Castiel looked into Bai Haorui's eyes, "But he is my brother. We have served together for thousands of years."
At the moment when the two were confronting each other, Uriel suddenly raised his uninjured right hand, and a dazzling white light shot out from his palm, heading straight for Dean!
"Be careful!"
Bai Haorui roared and turned around suddenly. With a wave of his right hand, a purple-gold True Gang shield instantly appeared in front of Dean.
"Boom!"
The white light hit the True Gang shield, exploding into a dazzling light. The powerful shock wave threw both Dean and Sam away, and they fell heavily to the ground.
Taking advantage of this gap, Uriel grabbed Dean's arm. A white light flashed and the two disappeared into the room at the same time.
"Dean!"
Bai Haorui roared angrily, turned around and rushed towards the window. He jumped up, smashed the window glass, and jumped out. The purple-gold Gang Qi held up his body, allowing him to hover in mid-air. He closed his eyes and carefully felt the remaining holy light breath of Uriel.
The next second, he opened his eyes, his eyes as sharp as an eagle. It fell on the ground and turned into a stream of purple-gold light, speeding towards the direction where Uriel disappeared. The speed was incredibly fast, leaving a long purple-gold afterimage in the night.
Sam got up from the ground, looked at the empty room, and clenched his fists. His nails dug deeply into his palms, and blood flowed down between his fingers. He took out his mobile phone and dialed Ruby's number with trembling fingers.
A strong sense of dizziness came over him, and Dean felt as if his internal organs were being shattered. He staggered to his feet and found himself in a huge abandoned warehouse.
The warehouse was dark and humid, and the air was filled with the smell of rust, dust and strong sulfur. The huge iron frames were rusty and fell to the ground. The sun shone in through the broken windows, but it was impossible to see clearly.
A huge ancient Enochian is painted in the center of the warehouse Devil's Trap. The runes of the trap were drawn with blood, and the color had turned dark brown, exuding an ominous aura. Alastair was locked to the pillar in the center of the trap with a heavy iron chain. He was wearing a torn black shirt, his face and body were covered with scars, but he had a mocking smile on his face. Seeing Dean, his eyes lit up, as if he had seen some interesting toy.
Uriel stood next to the trap, his left arm had returned to normal, but his face was so gloomy that it could drip water. Castiel leaned against the far wall, lowered his head, and looked at Dean with complicated eyes.
"This Devil's Trap is the ancient Enochian." Uriel said coldly, "He is completely restrained and cannot use any power."
Dean looked around. "Where is the door?"
"Where are you going?" Castiel asked.
"Thank you very much for a ride back to Cheyenne on the highway." Dean said, "You can clean up your mess yourself."
"Angels are dying, kid." Uriel said.
"Everyone is dying these days." Dean spread his hands, "I understand. You are omnipotent and can force me to do anything. But you can't force me to do this. I will never pick up those instruments of torture again. Never."
Castiel stepped forward and said in a soft voice, "I know this is too much to ask for. But we must do it. If we can't find the murderer, more angels will die. By then, no one can stop Lucifer from waking up."
"I want to talk to Cas alone." Dean looked at Uriel and said word by word.
Uriel snorted coldly. "I'm going to seek enlightenment. We may have new orders." He glared at Dean fiercely, "Don't play any tricks."
"I hope you never come back after you leave the house." Dean said.
Uriel's figure flashed and disappeared.
There were only two people left in the warehouse, Dean and Castiel. Alastair leaned against the pillar and looked at them with interest, as if he was watching a good show.
"This guy is really endless, isn't he?" Dean leaned against the wall and said tiredly, "I'm starting to like him a little bit. You angels will get fat if you walk too little. I'm starting to think that guy with no sense of humor is much more interesting than you."
"Uriel is the most interesting angel in the garrison." Castiel said expressionlessly, "If you don't believe me, ask anyone."
Dean sighed. "What's going on, Cas? Since when can Uriel lead you by the nose? Although you followed orders before, at least you still had your own ideas."
"My superiors are starting to question my compassion." Castiel said, "I'm getting too close to the human being I'm responsible for. That's you. They think I'm starting to express emotions. Emotions are the gateway to doubt. This affects my judgment."
"Your sympathy?" Dean smiled, the laughter full of bitterness, "That's great. Then tell Uriel, or whoever it is, that I don't want to do this. Trust me. If I walk into that trap, I will become something you don't want to see."
"Do you want to? No." Castiel shook his head, "But I was told that we need to do this. This is an order."
Dean's eyes turned cold. "If you ask me to open that door and walk in, you won't like what comes out. I promise you."
Castiel looked into Dean's eyes and was silent for a long time. "No matter what, I am willing to pay any price to prevent you from doing this. I'm sorry."
Castiel:
I'm sorry, Dean. I really don't want you to do this. But I have no choice. I am just a soldier and can only obey orders. But... if obeying orders will cause me so much pain, are these orders really correct?
Sam paced back and forth in the room, looking very anxious. He looked out the window from time to time, hoping to see Bai Haorui or Dean. But there was only boundless darkness outside the window.
With a "squeak" sound, the door was pushed open.
Ruby walked in, closed the door and locked it. She was wearing a tight black leather jacket, which outlined her perfect figure. Black boots, long black hair, and black eyes. Her whole person was like a black rose blooming in the dark, beautiful and dangerous. There was a trace of worry in her eyes, and she frowned when she saw that Sam was the only one.
"Seriously, Sam." Ruby walked up to Sam, "I don't want to tangle with the angels anymore. Those guys are all self-righteous and difficult to deal with?"
"Uriel took Dean away." Sam stopped and said hoarsely, "Bai Haorui chased him out. I need you to help me find out where they took Dean."
Ruby raised his eyebrows. "I don't see any problem. You know they tied up Alastair very tightly. Dean give him a few blows, and Al will turn into a pile of trembling mud, and the good guys will get the information they want. Is there anything wrong with that?"
"He can't do it." Sam shook his head, "You don't understand."
