Bai Miaomiao could see it now. This guy was nothing but a booze shill.

Marry her and get an allowance? He refused!

Find him a respectable job? He didn't want it!

Yet here he was, tirelessly enjoying his work as a booze shill!

"Bring me another ten cases of beer!" Bai Miaomiao clenched her small fists. She had never been so unwelcome before.

"Coming right up! What beer would you like, Miss Bai? Our most expensive is Corona, at 128 a bottle. Ten cases would be 120 bottles!" Su Yi beamed. Money, money! Zhang Ting had told him about the commission today, too. For tables he handled, he got ten percent of the drink sales.

That order would put another 1,500 in commission in his pocket.

Bai Miaomiao gritted her teeth. "Fine! Go get it. Whenever I have nothing to do, I'll come here and watch you drink!"

"You're more than welcome!" With that, Su Yi went over to Zhang Ting and told her K8 wanted ten cases of Corona.

"Not bad, Little Su! If this is what you're like on your first day, won't you become our ace in no time?" Zhang Ting grinned so widely she couldn't close her mouth. She really had found a treasure. With talent like him, who knew how good the bar's business would get?

"Of course I'll become the ace." Su Yi had that much confidence. He had worked in all sorts of industries, and whatever he did, he always became the very best.

Selling drinks was all this was. It couldn't stump him.

"All right, all right! Go keep Miss Bai and the others company. I'll have someone bring the beer over. Remember, don't make them angry again. Those three beauties are no ordinary people." Zhang Ting was afraid Su Yi would genuinely infuriate Bai Miaomiao. That would be no laughing matter.

"Don't worry. I won't." With that, Su Yi went back.

The ten cases of beer were carried over right behind him.

Su Yi winked at Bai Miaomiao. "Since we're drinking, why don't we play some games?"

Bai Miaomiao gritted her teeth. "Sure! Let's play! You think I'm scared of you?"

"Dice or finger guessing?" Su Yi had only learned these games today, yet he handled them with the ease of an old hand.

"Dice!" Bai Miaomiao said challengingly. "Just you and me, one on one!"

"One on one? Sure!" Su Yi kept in mind that he couldn't appear too capable. He had already gone a little overboard with the red wine earlier.

Once they started, Su Yi kept losing. Five losses in a row!

Bai Miaomiao finally felt the sweet satisfaction of avenging a great wrong!

"Again!" Bai Miaomiao shook the dice and stared at Su Yi. This wasn't enough yet.

Su Yi waved his hand. "I'm a little dizzy. I probably can't drink much more."

"Aren't you a professional drinking companion? Hurry up and cut the crap!" Bai Miaomiao thought the red wine was catching up with Su Yi. Hadn't he been so cocky earlier?

He had downed ten bottles straight, and now he couldn't manage after five glasses?

Su Yi finally managed to make his face turn red and could only keep playing with her.

He mostly maintained a pattern of losing twice and winning once.

That made Bai Miaomiao feel even more as though she had won a sweeping victory.

The bottles dwindled one after another. From start to finish, Su Yi kept saying he couldn't drink anymore, yet he kept drinking.

Bai Miaomiao had already made two trips to the restroom, while Su Yi still sat there as steady as Mount Tai, though his face looked thoroughly drunk.

Yu Huiyin couldn't help giving Su Yi a couple of long looks. This guy really had good kidneys!

"Sis, how about we call it a night?" Even Bai Qingyan was getting scared. She didn't know whether Su Yi was drunk, but Bai Miaomiao definitely was.

"No! Keep going! You two drink too!" Once Bai Miaomiao was drunk, her expression was no longer cold. Alcohol really could make people excited to a certain extent.

Yu Huiyin raised her glass. "One glass and I'm down."

"Drink! Today I want to see whether the great Miss Yu really goes down after one glass!" Bai Miaomiao grew increasingly excited and now started shouting at Yu Huiyin too.

Yu Huiyin said nothing more. She drained a glass in one gulp, then... toppled headfirst onto the sofa.

Su Yi was truly impressed. Wasn't that acting a little too exaggerated?

Bai Qingyan said pitifully, "Sis, you know me. I'm a one-glass lightweight too."

"Bullshit!" Bai Miaomiao glared. "Don't think I don't know. You've come to places like this plenty of times! Hurry up and drink. If you dare collapse, I'll have Su Yi kiss you!"

"That ruthless? Are you even my real sister?" Bai Qingyan nearly cried. She could only pick up her glass and start drinking.

Yu Huiyin was pretending to be drunk because, if they all got drunk, at least they could still get home safely. Bai Qingyan wanted to pretend, but she couldn't.

Just like that, Bai Qingyan joined their ranks too.

Another half hour passed, and Gao Yun and her group staggered out of the private room. After settling the bill, she began looking around. After all, the girlfriends she had brought each had a young man keeping them company, but Su Yi was gone.

"Zhang Ting, where's Little Su?" Gao Yun's gaze was unfocused, and she couldn't even walk straight. The bar was crowded and dimly lit, so even after looking for a while, she couldn't spot Su Yi.

Zhang Ting hurriedly smiled. "Sorry, Yun! Su Yi's friends called him away, so he asked for some time off. Would you like me to find another young man to keep you company tonight?"

Su Yi was keeping Bai Miaomiao and the others company right now. Since Gao Yun hadn't seen him, Zhang Ting certainly couldn't mention it.

Women fighting over someone could be a terrifying thing. Zhang Ting didn't want to offend either side.

Gao Yun waved a hand. "No need! Tell Little Su I had a great time today. I'll come see him again in a couple of days!"

"Let me see you out, then." Zhang Ting very courteously escorted them out of the bar before letting out a long, heavy breath. As the bar's owner, she naturally had to handle some things without letting a single drop leak through.

By two in the morning, there were fewer customers in the bar. They had actually finished every last drink at Su Yi's table. As for Bai Miaomiao, she was sprawled on the sofa without a shred of decorum, snoring away.

Yu Huiyin sat up. "All right, let's call it a night."

Su Yi smiled. "Come again tomorrow."

"You're not drunk?!" Yu Huiyin frowned at Su Yi.

"I can be," Su Yi said.

"Liar!" Yu Huiyin gave him a massive eye roll, then helped Bai Miaomiao up.

Bai Qingyan seemed to hold her liquor much better than Bai Miaomiao. At least she could still speak normally.

"Comrade Little Su, you really can drink! I, Bai Qingyan, admit defeat!"

"Likewise!" Su Yi nodded at her. "Comrade Xiao Bai, remember to come support the business often."

Su Yi didn't mind having contact with Yu Guoan's descendants and those of the others. He would leave everything to fate, without deliberately keeping his distance or deliberately drawing close.

Bai Qingyan flashed a toothy grin. "Of course. I'll introduce you to more aunties in the future. If you ever don't feel like working hard anymore, remember to tell me."

"Don't worry," Su Yi said. "If I ever don't feel like working hard anymore, your sister will be my first choice. She did sign up first, after all."
