Background / History

Winslow and Doreen were orphans whom Hera took in from the Northern Territory. Winslow initially feared the unsmiling goddess, but gradually came to regard her as the best deity in the world and Hot Spring Ravine as her home. Doreen states that they had followed Hera for nearly three hundred years by the time Li Jia arrived 8 47.

While Hera and Doreen traveled to handle official matters, Winslow usually stayed behind to look after the residence. She had declined invitations to accompany them, preferring to relax at home. Before Li Jia’s arrival, she sometimes found this life lonely, particularly because neither Hera nor Doreen shared her enthusiasm for food 8 9.
