"Yes, just like that!"
Seeing the Earth-Splitting Bear charge after him without hesitation, Chu Tiannan sneered, then nimbly leaped into a tree and kept weaving through the branches to escape.
Meanwhile, the Earth-Splitting Bear kept destroying the trees Chu Tiannan passed through from the ground, throwing the scene into utter chaos.
"Why does this guy always have to push himself?" Holding her greatsword, Luo'er circled around to follow from the side. Her delicate brows were tightly knitted, and she was naturally somewhat worried about Chu Tiannan's situation.
Unless he could shake off the Earth-Splitting Bear completely, the outcome was still hard to say.
Although she was somewhat displeased with Chu Tiannan's recklessness, Luo'er felt a little warmth in her heart. After all, she knew why he was doing this.
"But he's still pushing himself too hard!" Luo'er followed a short distance behind the Earth-Splitting Bear, ready to launch a flanking attack at any moment.
Once Chu Tiannan could no longer hold on, she would not hesitate to unleash her strongest sword strike again.
Boom!
Violent crashes rang out from time to time in the mountain forest, and before the Earth-Splitting Bear, those seemingly sturdy trees...
Had no ability to resist at all. They were either snapped by its savage charges or crushed beneath it.
Many beast soldier level Demon Beasts were frightened into keeping far away, afraid of getting caught in the destruction.
As the Earth-Splitting Bear pursued him madly, a black-clad figure nimbly darted between the trees ahead.
"Does this beast never get tired?" After fleeing for a full hour or so, Chu Tiannan felt that he had used up quite a bit of stamina. Even his speed had dropped slightly from the start.
"This can't go on!" Chu Tiannan looked toward the even denser woods ahead, and an idea flashed through his mind. He immediately looked back with a sneer.
"That's what I'll do!"
Bang!
Just then, as the Earth-Splitting Bear smashed through an even larger tree, the smaller trees around it instantly toppled toward it.
Rip! Rip!
With its sharp claws and powerful paws, the Earth-Splitting Bear actually tore these trees apart with its bare paws. Its strength was truly terrifying.
Roar!
Yet that brief delay made it discover that the target it had been chasing had vanished. It could not help letting out an enraged roar that echoed through the surrounding mountain forest, lingering for a long time.
Crack!
In the silent mountain forest, the Earth-Splitting Bear instantly crushed a fragile tree on the ground beneath its foot, producing a chilling sound as its savage eyes swept its surroundings.
Even the slightest movement would draw a storm of attacks from it.
As a beast general level Demon Beast, it naturally possessed no small amount of intelligence. It knew Chu Tiannan had not left this dense forest.
Instead, he had hidden somewhere. All the Earth-Splitting Bear needed to do was search slowly.
Find this hateful human who was weak yet capable of hurting it.
Then tear him to shreds!
"Where did he go?" Having followed the Earth-Splitting Bear, Luo'er naturally arrived there too. She looked at the denser forest ahead, her delicate brows furrowing slightly.
"The detector's broken, and I haven't added him as a friend yet, so I can't check his location. This is trouble."
The girl put away her light sword and quietly took a detour. After quite some time, aided by her nimble body, she finally got ahead of the Earth-Splitting Bear.
"Where did he go?" As Luo'er cautiously searched for Chu Tiannan, she also kept an eye on the movements of the Earth-Splitting Bear.
She would know of even the slightest stirring.
Creak!
While Luo'er was searching cautiously, she seemed to step on something. Startled, she hurriedly moved her foot away, only to see a little silver wolf staring at the beautiful girl before it with large, watery eyes.
Luo'er froze in place, a trace of sweat trickling down her fair forehead. She had never expected to be so unlucky as to encounter a Demon Beast cub here.
Whimper...
Perhaps because a human had suddenly appeared, the silver wolf cub let out a frightened cry, seemingly calling for something. Though faint, its voice could carry farther away.
This is bad!
Alarmed, Luo'er swiftly moved away, for she could faintly hear a heavy figure moving on the slope above. Even the ground began to tremble.
"What rotten luck!" Luo'er had never expected this to happen. Frantic, she kept weaving through the dense forest, but because the terrain was rugged...
Her speed was considerably reduced.
The Earth-Splitting Bear naturally spotted the girl who had been traveling with Chu Tiannan. It roared excitedly and charged straight through like a train, moving at tremendous speed.
The distance between them kept shrinking, and the situation was desperate.
Yet Luo'er kept fleeing with her teeth clenched. After all, being caught by the Earth-Splitting Bear would mean a miserable end.
At this critical moment, even as the Earth-Splitting Bear drew ever closer, Luo'er did not give up in the slightest.
"Who's there?!"
At that same moment, a strong hand seized Luo'er's slender arm and gave a sharp tug. With a startled cry, the girl fell to one side.
"Don't make a sound!" A familiar voice instantly stilled Luo'er, who had still been struggling a little. A hint of delighted surprise appeared in her beautiful eyes instead.
"We're hiding here instead of running? Are you trying to get us killed?" In the cramped space on the reverse slope, Luo'er lay in Chu Tiannan's arms. With no time for embarrassment, she spoke urgently.
"Don't panic. Look closely!" Chu Tiannan made a shushing gesture and smiled. Before Luo'er could wonder about it, she saw something not far away that startled her.
Several silver figures had silently appeared and were forming a ring.
They gradually closed in on the Earth-Splitting Bear.
