Power Progression
Realm attainment is distinguished from combat strength. The ranks experienced during his reincarnation trial are not included as actual advancements.
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ordinary human → Junior Martial Artist | 3 | The Heaven-Deriving Sword devours a Beast Soldier Purple Shadow Cat, allowing the Devouring System to raise his rank. |
| Martial Master | 66 | Identified as a Martial Master; still needs Martial Grandmaster-level strength to fully master Heavenly Sin’s Mingshe form. |
| Peak Martial Master | 127 | Fights an intermediate lord-level Golden Scale Beast across the Martial Master–Martial Grandmaster gap. |
| High-level Martial Grandmaster in both cultivation paths | 166 | His combined Martial Artist and Controller output rivals an elementary Martial God, but he cannot produce true Martial God pressure. |
| Martial God | 196 | Confirmed as a Martial God by this point. |
| Hundredfold base soul level | 273 | Advances Heavenly Sin Mingshe into Heavenly Sin Ten Directions and unlocks Ten-Thread Flow. Simultaneous use of his two weapons makes him undefeated against Martial God Great Perfection opponents. |
| Peak Martial God Lesser Perfection | 295 | Devours an SSS-grade enhancement serum, advancing from newly attained Lesser Perfection to its peak. Remains just short of Great Perfection. |
| Beyond Martial God | 358 | After devouring the surrounding material, his Martial God Power changes into the Power to Transcend Heaven and Earth. |

| Galaxy Level, Ninth Stage → Life-core compression | 634 | Qi Hua Waterfall compresses his life core, temporarily lowering his apparent level while making his power denser. |
| Nine-times-compressed star river life core | 640 | Completes the foundation transformation. Estimates that his bloodline, Law of Chaos, and divine artifact allow him to contend with Star Domain Level Second Stage opponents. |
| Peak Galaxy Level, Ninth Stage | 827 | His human body can absorb 1,086 Primal Stones; his Star Domain-level Bauhinia Star Beast Clone can absorb 2,560. |
| Quasi-Fourth Stage law power | 836 | Fusion with 1,086 Primal Stones produces silver traces in his Chaos Power. This approaches, but does not complete, the true Fourth Stage. |
| Star Realm Level | 1073 | Develops Great Heaven Rasengan after attaining this realm. |
| Star God Level | 1163 | Can no longer release both Chaos Weapons simultaneously and instead switches between them for coordinated attacks. |

Background and History
Previous Life and Rebirth
Chu Tiannan was originally the Demon Dragon Sovereign of the Origin World. He awakens on Earth believing that he died during a failed breakthrough, only to discover that his soul now inhabits the frail body of a dead human youth with the same name 1.
Although he retains his identity, his knowledge of the cosmos and what lies beyond it has been sealed or rendered useless. He concludes that someone interfered with his memories and resolves to return stronger than before 33.
His restored memories eventually reveal that White Spirit Sovereign, Nether Sovereign, and Transcendent Sovereign betrayed him during his breakthrough. The white dragon who accompanied him had been his lover; after learning the truth, he relinquishes his remaining attachment to that life 1810.
Survival on Earth
The Devouring System gives Chu Tiannan a route into cultivation through the Heaven-Deriving Sword. Devouring a Purple Shadow Cat raises him directly from an ordinary person to a Junior Martial Artist 3.
He joins the East Martial Arts Hall and earns the name Little Shura during the Martial Artist assessment. Rather than stopping at the qualifying threshold, he hunts Demon Beasts in the dangerous core area for ranking rewards, ultimately taking first place 50 55 599.
His early strength does not eliminate the danger of stronger opponents. The Silver Moon Wolf King nearly kills him, leaving a deep wound across his back and rendering him helpless before an enormous creature interrupts the pursuit 116. Later, his dual cultivation and mastery of Momentum allow him to fight above his realm and eventually stand among Martial Gods 166 233.
Discovery of the Chu Family
Chu Tiandong identifies Chu Tiannan as the Chu Family’s missing third young master through matching family nameplates. The revelation initially unsettles him: he remembers being a solitary Demon Dragon Sovereign, while the original owner of his human body had already died 293.
After discussing the choice with Luo’er, he visits the family and begins accepting its affection. Being told that he is home affects him deeply because he had lived alone in his previous life 297 299. He learns that his father is Chu Huaxuan, the family’s third son, who left eighteen years earlier 295 300.
Chu Tiannan later discovers his father among the demons and learns that both parents are still alive. Their reunion ends eighteen years of separation, but does not last: his parents subsequently die, leaving him determined to acquire the power to resurrect them 385 394 420 428.
Departure into the Cosmos
Luo’er’s departure gives Chu Tiannan another reason to cultivate. She promises to wait for him, and he promises to find her regardless of the distance or time required 433.
Learning that sufficiently powerful beings can resurrect the dead establishes his three central goals: reunite with Luo’er, restore his family and companions, and return to the Origin World. He leaves Earth through a gateway near Kunlun Divine Mountain 434.
During his cosmic travels, he conceals his full identity under the name Chu, following Devour Dog’s survival advice 473. He and Shasha pass the Cosmic Knight Alliance examination and become Bronze Knights; Chu Tiannan receives a badge and ten Luke Units 541.
Genius Battles and Advanced Training
Chu Tiannan strengthens his life core at Qi Hua Waterfall, participates in the Universe Genius Battle, and uses Primal Stones to improve both himself and his divine artifacts 640 767 836. During the contest for sect marks, other geniuses warn one another to avoid him 974.
He reunites with Luo’er after more than a hundred years apart 1016. His later training includes the Chaos Universe Stele and Heaven-reaching Tower, where successive opponents expose weaknesses in his technique and help him comprehend Chaos Annihilation 1147 1163.
He forms an independently willed soul clone and later returns to Earth to fuse with the Bauhinia Star Beast, restoring its bloodline power to himself 1262 1329. After attaining Cosmic Venerable, he confronts Luo Quan and the Luo God Army without relying on ordinary physical attacks 1422.
Threats to His Companions
The Underworld Clan’s attacks on people close to Chu Tiannan provoke his vow to destroy the clan. His endangered companions include Luo Wang, Tian Xing, Tian’er, Xian’er, Lin Lei, Jin, and Shasha 1567 1570.
He enters the Illusory Spirit Mountain Range seeking Phantom Spirit Thousand Grass and later emerges with the long-missing Black Heaven Lord. When his teacher mistakes the result for a breakthrough, Chu Tiannan explicitly states that he has not become a Cosmic Lord 1590 1604.
His eventual ascent to Eight-Star Throne Level grants the spacetime-reversal power he had pursued for his loved ones. By this period, his struggle has lasted eleven epochs, and guilt over the deaths following his battle with the Demon King still weighs on him 1673 1684.
Heavenly God and Humanity’s Victory
Mingdao Chu Tiannan betrays him and steals the Heart of the Heavenly God, revealing himself as part of Nether Heavenly God’s body 1887. Chu Tiannan nevertheless ultimately slays Demon Heavenly God and Nether Heavenly God. With their leaders defeated, the Apostle Clan, its vassals, and the contracted Underworld Clan collapse 1889.
Over the following epoch, humanity develops into a powerful Heavenly God Race. Chu Tiannan becomes the lord of Chaos City on the artificial Chaos Continent above the Milky Way and marries Luo’er before their gathered friends and family 1889.
Death Emperor Sovereign Jiang Chen attends the celebration and informs him that Origin World rules require his entry into that realm within one cosmic era. His clones are permitted to remain behind 1889.
Appearance
Chu Tiannan is a handsome young man whose appearance closely resembles his father’s 302.
- Height: 185 centimeters 44.
- Eyes: Frequently described as starry and exceptionally deep; after his losses on Earth, they appear ash-gray and emotionally cold 295 452 640.
- Clothing: Favors black combat clothing and a cloak. His repaired Chaos Armor can transform into his preferred black clothes 907 1297.
- Resemblance: Looks sufficiently like Chu Huaxuan that Li Xiangyue initially mistakes him for his father 314.
Personality
Chu Tiannan is ambitious, disciplined, and willing to endure severe pain for greater strength. He regards money and time spent improving his weapons as worthwhile, and persists through the violent physical consequences of absorbing Primal Stones 767 828. He also recognizes that raw strength is insufficient, using arena combat and tower trials to refine his technique 497 1163.
His caution coexists with a pronounced appetite for battle. He hides the Heaven-Deriving Sword to prevent others from coveting it and uses a shortened identity in the cosmos, yet eagerly tests himself against stronger opponents 33 127 473.
Family and companionship reshape his priorities. Initially uncomfortable with the Chu Family’s affection, he comes to treasure having a home and treats his human parents with gratitude 293 299 394. Their deaths and Luo’er’s departure make him withdrawn and intensely driven, but Luo’er remains more important to him than his own life 452 561.
His severity is not indiscriminate. He orders defeated assessment opponents moved somewhere safe, and feels no satisfaction when a powerful sword strike destroys thousands of zombies that had once been human 55 245. Conversely, calculated attacks on his companions provoke uncompromising retaliation 1570.
