"Since there's nothing else, everyone, get back to class!"
After the school director left, the entire classroom nearly erupted.
"Hehe, this is going to be a good show. The goddess rejected Luo Ji outright and went to Chu Tiannan instead."
"Things are probably going to get rough for Chu Tiannan now. Luo Ji's family owns businesses, after all, and his father is a Martial Artist. With that kind of background... tsk, tsk. Luo Ji won't let this slide."
"Not necessarily. Didn't you see the goddess go straight to Chu Tiannan? Their relationship must be unusual. Maybe Chu Tiannan is secretly a rich second-generation heir?"
Hearing the quiet discussions around him, Chu Tiannan shook his head without paying them much attention. If Luo Ji really was blind enough to provoke him...
Chu Tiannan wouldn't mind teaching him how to behave!
"Creak, creak..." Fighting was strictly forbidden at the academy. Even though Luo Ji's face was ashen and his heart blazed with towering fury...
He had to endure it for now. The consequences of attacking someone at the academy would be serious.
Chu Tiannan, fine... you brought this on yourself! Luo Ji sat stiffly back down in his seat, roaring inwardly.
After class, Chu Tiannan stood up, stretched, and let out a long breath.
"This torturous theory class is finally over." As he spoke, he looked at the girl in yellow sitting quietly beside him and asked,
"How did you find me here?"
"With a smart device, finding you was easy. I only needed to know your name!" Luo'er put away a few books, then asked softly, her pretty face flushing slightly,
"Want to go for a walk?"
"I still have to train in a bit..." The instant Chu Tiannan finished saying that, he sensed a faint killing intent filling the space around him. He swallowed his next words and nodded earnestly.
"Let's go!"
"That's more like it!"
Hearing him agree, Luo'er's eyes immediately curved into crescents. Chu Tiannan shook his head slightly, then followed the girl in yellow outside under everyone's envious, jealous, and resentful gazes.
The two walked along a wooded path in the academy. The few students passing them from the opposite direction thought nothing of seeing Chu Tiannan.
But everyone's eyes lit up when they saw Luo'er. A beauty like her truly was a lovely sight.
Of course, even so, there was no shortage of discussion, and the news quietly spread through the academy.
"How come I've never seen that girl before? Who is she?"
"Her name's Luo'er. She's a new student. Her strength hasn't been disclosed, but she's beautiful."
"Who she is doesn't matter anymore, because this Luo'er is only close to that guy called Chu Tiannan."
"Chu Tiannan? I've never heard of him. What qualifies him to get close to a girl like that? Won't Luo Ji be jealous?"
"Don't even mention it. Luo Ji was already ignored in public. Luo'er didn't pay him any attention at all!"
"Huh?"
As an important institution dedicated to nurturing future Martial Artists, the Martial Artist Academy naturally occupied a startlingly vast area.
Even with a car, it would take half a day to tour the entire academy.
"It looks like my arrival has put you under quite a bit of pressure." Seeing students eyeing them covetously from time to time, Luo'er spoke calmly, though a trace of slyness flashed through her beautiful eyes.
"If even they could put me under pressure, I might as well give up on becoming a Martial Artist." Chu Tiannan shrugged, not caring in the slightest.
"Oh? You sound confident." Luo'er glanced sideways at the black-clad young man beside her. For some reason, she noticed that although his Martial Artist level hadn't risen, he had gained a certain presence.
That presence gave off a faint, elusive sense of pressure. She knew just how decisive this seemingly sunny young man could be once he started fighting.
How ruthlessly he could kill!
"Stop!"
Suddenly, a furious shout came from behind them. Chu Tiannan and Luo'er both turned toward the voice.
Luo Ji approached with several young men behind him. His own expression was ashen and cold, while the others behind him all wore malicious sneers.
"Poor guy. He actually provoked Luo Ji. Looks like this Chu Tiannan is going to pay for it."
Chu Tiannan quietly stepped forward, his brows drawing together slightly as he asked,
"Need something?"
Luo Ji, on the other hand, walked forward without a word, finally stopping mere inches from the black-clad young man. He looked into Chu Tiannan's calm black eyes, then glanced at the girl in yellow beside him and said through gritted teeth,
"Leave her, and I'll act as though nothing happened. We can all still be classmates!"
Luo'er wanted to speak, but found that Chu Tiannan had positioned himself directly in front of her. She held back the words on her lips and gazed impassively at the gloomy-faced Luo Ji.
Chu Tiannan already knew what Luo Ji had come for. Even after hearing his threat, his expression remained utterly calm. Looking at the gloomy-faced Luo Ji, he said,
"Anything else? If there's nothing else, we'll be going."
With that, under everyone's stunned gazes, Chu Tiannan really did...
Turn and leave with Luo'er.
