After awakening on an apocalyptic Earth, Chu Tiannan fought his way toward South China Base City with Luo'er and reached safety with the Hua Alliance Army. A month later, he reunited with Luo'er at the Martial Artist Academy, where his clash with Luo Ji escalated into a fight at Luo Ji’s uncle’s villa and ended with the police taking everyone away.

• Chu Tiannan accepted the Devouring System’s trial, used the Heaven-Deriving Sword to kill Demon Beasts, and set out for a safe base city.
• Chu Tiannan rescued the wounded Luo'er from demon wolves, but she repeatedly challenged him before asking him to become her partner.
• Chu Tiannan and Luo'er fled an Earth-Splitting Bear, crossed the wilderness, and were injured when their vehicle overturned near South China Base City.
• Chu Tiannan carried Luo'er toward the city despite his injuries until the Hua Alliance Army arrived and drove back the Demon Beasts.
• A month later, Chu Tiannan trained at the Martial Artist Academy, where Luo'er joined his class and sat beside him.
• Luo Ji confronted Chu Tiannan over Luo'er, but Zhang Yongquan stopped their fight and warned Chu to report future trouble.

Chu Tiannan survived a prison attack, joined the East Martial Arts Hall, and prepared for his Martial Artist assessment while Luo Ji’s allies backed away. In the ruined-city trial, Chu Tiannan crushed a gang of candidates and climbed to ninth place as he pursued the top rank.

• Chu Tiannan defeated the inmates sent to attack him, but Rat’s flying blade pierced his arm before the Devouring System offered him Heavenly Sin Mingshe.
• Chu Tiannan used Heavenly Sin Mingshe to destroy the blade, recovered in the hospital, and agreed to join the East Martial Arts Hall after Wang Jinhai offered to help with his legal case.
• Liu Qing apologized for arranging the prison attack and paid Chu Tiannan five million Earth dollars to settle their dispute, while North Martial Arts Hall began considering how to recruit him.
• Chu Tiannan signed a generous contract with the East Martial Arts Hall, moved into Villa 99, and practiced Flowing Shadow before his assessment.
• Chu Tiannan entered the ruined-city assessment, killed Demon Beasts, and confronted Liu Cheng’s group when they tried to take his points by force.
• Chu Tiannan defeated Liu Cheng and his men, forced them to surrender their scores, and had them evacuated from the assessment.
• Chu Tiannan raised his battle record to 176 and ninth place, then set his sights on the candidates ranked above him.

Chu Tiannan tied Qing Yu’s score, defeated him in the assessment match, and became the top-ranked combatant. After recovering, he strengthened his body and studied new techniques before An Liena accompanied him to meet Luo Meng.

• Mai Luo tried to defend his points from Chu Tiannan, but Chu took nearly all of them and warned the North Martial Arts Hall about Little Shura.
• Chu Tiannan used the Devouring System to track opponents and took Wei Yuan and Liu Jie’s points, raising his score to 850.
• Chu Tiannan reached the East Martial Arts Hall and learned from Lan Di that Qing Yu led the rankings and might be a Junior Martial Master.
• Chu Tiannan challenged Qing Yu, but a siren halted the fight and ended the Martial Artist assessment before either could claim victory.
• Chu Tiannan tied Qing Yu’s score at 1,850, then defeated him in their official match and took first place before exhausting his soul power.
• Chu Tiannan woke from a half-month coma, reconciled with Luo’er, and received a hundred-million-Earth-Currency reward, a Grade S Genetic Enhancement Agent, and secret manuals.
• Chu Tiannan endured the enhancement agent, advanced to intermediate Martial Master, and used the Devouring System to learn the Thunder Qilin Combat Method and buy more manuals.
• An Liena found Chu Tiannan distracted at home and accompanied him to meet Luo Meng, whose family dispute with Chu remained unresolved.

Chu Tiannan joined the Fire Dragon Battle Team, proved himself during a hunt in the Catastrophe Zone, and faced Luo Meng again at a mountain supply station. After the team shared its earnings, An Liena’s teasing and sleep-talking revealed her lingering attachment to Feng, and the team set out again with Chu Tiannan on her mind.

• An Liena brought Chu Tiannan to meet Yang Li, who welcomed him to the Fire Dragon Battle Team, and the team confronted Luo Meng until he paid Chu Tiannan ten million Earth Currency.
• At the Commercial Alliance building, Chu Tiannan reunited with Luo'er before the team left the base city, and he refused Hong Heng’s offer to join the North Martial Arts Hall.
• When Demon Beasts pursued the team’s vehicle, Chu Tiannan drove it to safety, then killed a Combat-Scale Crocodile alone after being separated from the others.
• The team hunted an approaching horde led by a Fierce Armored Rhino, and Yang Li’s Death God Bullet weakened the Rhino before An Liena killed it and the team cleared the remaining beasts.
• Chu Tiannan fought through the horde and nearly fell to Cat Demon Kings before An Liena saved him with her Thousand Mechanisms Umbrella.
• At the mountain supply station, Luo Meng attacked Chu Tiannan, but An Liena drove him off after Robert intervened and ordered the Mad Tiger Battle Team to leave.
• An Liena distributed the team’s earnings, including forty million Earth Currency to Chu Tiannan and a hundred million each from selling the Fierce Armored Rhino.
• An Liena teased Chu Tiannan during Luo’er’s call, then mistook him for Feng in her sleep, and the team departed the next morning as An Liena watched Chu Tiannan closely.
