Background / History

School Years and Sect Awakening

Lin Feng remembers a previous life in which studying was difficult for him. In his current life, knowledge resembling the cultivation novels he once read comes easily: he ranks first throughout his first and second school years in both theoretical knowledge and sect-development simulations. His reputation attracts admirers as well as classmates eager to see him fail 1.

On Sect Awakening Day, he awakens an E-rank sect consisting of a barren hill and a dilapidated building. Lin Daqiang and other students mock the result, but his teacher, Lin Dong, explains that E-rank sects are destroyed sects that may retain ancient potential. Lin Feng enters Sect World 999, names his sect the Evergreen Sect, and spends twenty of its initial one hundred low-grade spirit stones repairing the main hall 2 3.

Establishing the Evergreen Sect

The arrival of the Entry System gives Lin Feng daily trait draws and cultivation linked to his disciples. His guaranteed golden draw produces One Day Like a Year, allowing the sect’s cultivators to experience a year of training for every outside day 3.

His first major recruit is Tie Dali, an older village blacksmith whose six entries make him valuable despite his poor spiritual root. He subsequently accepts Liu Yurou, whose Supreme-Grade Water Spiritual Root and Flawless Golden Core trait immediately push the sect into the recruitment rankings’ top thirty 5 6 7.

Near the end of the first recruitment contest, Lin Feng replaces Tie Dali’s Five-Element Mixed Spiritual Root with a golden Heavenly Spiritual Root. Trials, Ruins, and Resource Development

The Evergreen Sect wins the first demonic-beast trial with an SSS rating after Tie Dali kills its lord-class wolf king. Lin Feng prevents the remaining wolves from fleeing so they can become resources for future beast-taming competitions 14 15.

After Zhao Qingyan discovers a concealed formation on the rear mountain, Lin Feng investigates with his disciples. Every attempt to penetrate it fails, convincing him that his cultivation and formation knowledge are insufficient. During the Myriad Spirits Secret Realm trial, he directs his disciples to capture resource-producing strongholds and stations wolf demons as guards. After Lin Wan’er asks for help, he intervenes through his disciples, and Tie Dali defeats the powerful two-headed creature threatening the defenders 39 41 43 44.

Representatives from Capital University and Demon City University offer him early enrollment through special admission. He asks for nearly half a month to decide, privately favoring Capital University 44.

Back at the sect, Lin Feng equips Li Jishi with Pill Ancestor Descends to the Mortal World and absolute loyalty. After she produces flawless batches of valuable pills, he appoints her master of the Alchemy Hall and makes the pills available through contribution points. He later hosts the sect’s first online auction, selling magical artifacts and five hundred Qi Condensation Pills before beginning the Foundation Establishment Pill auction 45 47 49.

Personality

Lin Feng is guarded and reluctant to reveal his advantages. He initially suspects that Lin Wan’er’s unusual attention must conceal an ulterior motive, and later lets classmates believe the successful Evergreen Sect belongs to someone else. Even after attaining Golden Core cultivation, he prefers to develop quietly rather than display his full strength 1 8 31 41.

His management combines calculated competition with practical care for disciples. He times Tie Dali’s spiritual-root replacement to secure a ranking victory, rewards useful service, and provides cultivation opportunities to disciples without innate aptitude. He also moves mortal servants outside the accelerated-time domain so they do not waste their limited lifespans 11 17 33.

He is particularly cautious with exceptional resources. Although he observes Li Jishi’s loyalty for over a year of sect time, he still pairs her rainbow alchemy trait with absolute loyalty before entrusting it to her 45.
