Lu Wu helped defend the Ancient Capital from the undead while Mo Fan and Fang Gu uncovered the Black Vatican’s role in the disaster. The arc ended with Zhang Xiaohou naming Mu He as involved, while the authorities still could not identify Salang among the detained leaders.

• Lu Wu joined the campaign against the Ghost Tyrant, strengthened his magic with Soul Essences, and helped destroy the Ghost Tyrant before being injured by the blast and Sha Yuan’s death energy.
• The Skeleton Nether Lord and Corpse of the Mountain Peak attacked the city, and Lu Wu and his companions helped defend the walls and evacuate civilians as the undead overwhelmed the outer districts.
• Zhu Meng and the other leaders learned that the rain contained Nine Nether Dew and that the Black Vatican planned to awaken the Ancient King, while Fang Gu’s Kun Well Water could neutralize the substance.
• Mo Fan reunited with Liu Ru and Fang Gu, and Lu Wu attacked a hidden Black Vatican force as Mo Fan and Liu Ru subdued Hong Jun and the blue-clad deacon.
• Zhang Xiaohou revealed that his memory had returned and identified Grand Deacon Hu Jin’s voice, while Fang Gu agreed to turn himself in and provide what remained of his Kun Well Water.
• Fang Gu revealed that he had used his last Kun Well Water on Fang Tu, and Han Ji feared the Ancient King would awaken because Lu Wu had already used the Earth Sacred Spring.
• Zhang Xiaohou’s memories began returning as a Forget Worm advanced, and he accused Mu He of involvement before the gray-white-robed man knocked him unconscious, and the leaders remained unsure which detained defender was Salang.

Lu Wu led a desperate effort to evacuate the Ancient Capital and entered Sha Yuan with Mo Fan and their companions to stop the Ancient King. After the Ancient King awakened, Lu Wu fought him with the aid of the Chongming Bird, the Demon Phoenix Insect, and the Earth Pistil, while the city survived and the hunt for Salang’s Black Vatican spread.

• Lu Wu pursued information about Salang, arranged the evacuation, and set out with Zhang Xiaohou, Fang Gu, and Su Xiaoluo toward Sha Yuan as the Ancient King’s tomb approached the city.
• Lu Wu and his companions entered Sha Yuan, crossed the Tomb Palace’s trials, and fought through waves of undead, including the Skeleton Nether Lord and the Corpse of the Mountain Peak.
• Mo Fan advanced after taking the Immortal Lotus, while Lu Wu’s Beast Element awakened and transformed him as he fought the Corpse of the Mountain Peak.
• At the Blood Throne, the Ancient King took control of Fang Gu’s body, revealed his plan to restore his power, and offered Lu Wu a throne in exchange for his service.
• The Ancient King transported Lu Wu out of Sha Yuan and tried to bind him with an evil dragon, but the Chongming Bird and Demon Phoenix Insect fused with Lu Wu as he fought back.
• Han Ji and the leaders sent the energized Earth Pistil to Lu Wu with Little Fire, and Lu Wu used its energy to battle the Ancient King until both survived a devastating attack.
• The Ancient Capital rebuilt itself as its undead stopped emerging, while authorities hunted Salang’s followers and Lu Wu watched Mu Nujiao and Mu Ningxue fighting near the Qinling Mountains.

Lu Wu protected Mu Ningxue from the Mu Clan, then joined the National Team’s journey to Japan, where he helped resolve the Yanming Temple crisis and learned that Mochizuki Chiharu’s son needed a rare flower to survive. The story left Lu Wu preparing to save Lu Yan as Chiharu warned him that Tsuruta might be imprisoned in the forbidden East Guard Pavilion.

• Lu Wu defended Mu Ningxue from Mu Jianlin and the Mu Clan, secured three Star River Veins as compensation, and helped her advance to the Advanced Level.
• Lu Wu rejoined the National Team in Feiniao City, destroyed the Sea Monsters threatening nearby islands, and investigated the concealed disappearances of infants before the mentors ordered the team to stop.
• The team reached Yanming Temple, where Zhao Manyan fell into a mysterious sleep, and Lu Wu entered the wooden fish’s Vessel World to investigate the artifact spirits Miyata and Narahara Sora.
• Lu Wu defeated Narahara Sora and freed Zhao Manyan, who retrieved the wooden fish vessel, before the team continued to Osaka to challenge Japan’s National Pavilion.
• At the Twin Guardian Pavilion, Lu Wu learned that Rock Lava Crab Demon parasites had left Mochizuki Chiharu’s son, Mochizuki Yan, deformed and barely alive, and vowed to find the Rock Green Flower that could save him.
• Lu Wu treated Yan with his nirvana origin, improving his condition slightly, and decided to restore the child’s health before leaving Japan.
• Mu Ningxue told Lu Wu she had defeated the Osaka defenders, while Mu Nujiao reported a lead on a Star Sea Heavenly Vein.
• Mochizuki Chiharu warned Lu Wu to investigate the forbidden East Guard Pavilion because she suspected Tsuruta was imprisoned there.

Lu Wu rescued Mochizuki Chiharu from the Condensed Evil Bead’s corruption, defeated the Rock Lava Crab Demon tribe to obtain the resources he needed, and returned home with Lu Yan and Mu Ningxue. After exposing and killing the Red Mountain Ghost culprit, he began training the National Pavilion team and confronted Egypt’s challenge to China’s badge.

• Lu Wu and Mochizuki Chiharu entered the East Guard Pavilion, confirmed Yan was safe, and learned from Tsuruta that Takagi intended to use the Ninghua Pearl to advance his Sky Ridge Beast.
• The Condensed Evil Bead corrupted Mochizuki Chiharu, but Lu Wu freed her and took the bead to Mochizuki Meiken, who asked him to deliver it to an old friend in Tokyo.
• Lu Wu attacked the Rock Lava Crab Demon and Silver-Ringed Sea Octopus tribes, harvested their souls, and awakened his Healing and Stars Enhancement Elements before reaching Super Level.
• Lu Wu forced Sea Battle City to give him sixty percent of the corpses he had hunted, then returned to Osaka and arranged to take Lu Yan home with Mochizuki Chiharu.
• Lu Wu left the National Team with Mu Ningxue and Lu Yan, then investigated the Red Mountain Ghost abductions and identified Zuo Ruoqie as the culprit.
• Lu Wu confronted Zuo Ruoqie on Egret Island, where the instructor had used captive girls in a dark ritual, and killed him after rescuing the survivors.
• Sayed challenged China’s National Pavilion alone, but Lu Wu defeated his Death Saber Mummy and later agreed to train the pavilion team.
• After Ling Ling warned Lu Wu that Salang had escaped to Chongming Island, Egypt’s team disputed his victory and declared they would use their remaining challenges to claim the badge.
