Previous Life and Clan Childhood

Long Qianming was a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine in another world, described as its youngest practitioner. He died after an out-of-control truck struck him while he was traveling to see a patient 1.

Reborn as Yu Yuanzhen’s eldest, illegitimate son, he was denied recognition within the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. His father refused medicine for his gravely ill mother and allowed his wife to abuse them both. His mother died when he was two, leaving him to perform manual labor for food while carrying old injuries. He nevertheless secured limited access to the clan library to study Martial Souls and Soul Beasts 1.

After his awakening, Long Qianming rejected his father’s money and was expelled. He also refused Yu Xiaogang’s offer of cultivation resources, determined to sever his dependence on the clan. Before departing, he bowed three times at his mother’s grave 2 3 4.

Longxing Medical Hall

After meeting Bibi Dong during his journey, Long Qianming traveled south with a merchant caravan to Gengxin City. His knowledge of the original story helped him recognize hair gold as material for Dragon Whisker Needles 4 5.

He established Longxing Medical Hall through free consultations and distinctive treatments. Its strongest early clientele consisted of blacksmiths suffering from kidney deficiency, earning him an embarrassing but recognizable medical reputation. Since the clinic’s income could not cover his cultivation needs, he began hunting dark-attribute Soul Beasts at night and treating patients during the day 7 9.

His medical work brought him close to Si Long and Lou Gao. Lou Gao eventually persuaded him to join the Blacksmith Association and study forging in exchange for assistance 14 19.

Bibi Dong and the Dugu Family

Bibi Dong later visited the clinic to recruit him for Spirit City. Her recognition of the gold hairpin he carried revealed that he was the boy she had helped years earlier. Although he initially tried to repay her and send her away, they renewed their friendship, and he gave her elementary medical texts so she could help at the clinic 27 28.

Saving Dugu Xin established his connection with the Dugu Family. He continued treating Xin’s poison, revealed Xiao Tian’s true nature to Xin and Su Qing’er, and earned Dugu Bo’s gratitude. Dugu Bo knelt to thank him and subsequently became a frequent protector and Soul Ring hunting companion 36 42 45 61.

The Dragon Duke’s Emergence

Long Qianming spent two and a half years training against the winds of Godwind Grand Canyon, completing three self-created Soul Skills. He later assisted Häagen-Dazs Academy’s tournament team and defeated Huo Wujin with one spear strike while seeking access to Ring Fusion 60 61 75.

As the Dragon Duke, he became entangled in sect conflicts and Spirit Hall’s attempts to control him. An attack during his Bone Dragon ring absorption forced him to escape through Spatial Leap, leaving others believing him dead. The teleportation brought him to Dragon Valley, where abundant Dragon Qi offered new opportunities for strengthening his body 96 105 106 107.

After reaching rank 74, he returned and killed three men who had tormented Bibi Dong. He promised not to leave her again, and their relationship became openly that of husband and wife 120 122 127.

Conflict with the Great Sects

At the Hundred Sects Grand Competition, Long Qianming ruined Tang Hao’s right arm, seized a Soul Bone, and publicly exposed his identity and External Martial Soul. He subsequently killed Tang Chi 130 132.

His assault on the Clear Sky Sect crippled the Third Elder, killed the Fourth Elder, and caused extensive casualties among its disciples. Xiao Tian opened spatial rifts for their withdrawal 134.

Spirit Hall then attempted to use him against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, supporting his businesses while planting undercover Soul Masters within them. Ling Yuan’s later defection exposed the scheme, allowing him to identify infiltrators and kill a manager who attacked him 142 183.

Family, Revenge, and the Heavenly Dragon Institutions

Long Qianming founded Heavenly Dragon Academy in Heaven Dou City, appointing Dugu Xin and Su Qing’er as dean and vice dean. Bibi Dong later gave birth to their twins: Long Xiaoyao, the elder brother, and Long Zishu, the younger sister 172 176.

His revenge against the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan extended to its hidden descendants and businesses across the continent. When Yu Yuanzhen finally recognized him and pleaded for reconciliation, Long Qianming rejected the claim that his childhood suffering had been a “test.” The clan’s destruction and the killing of its scattered descendants spread fear throughout the Soul Master world 186 188 190.

Later, he entered Heavenly Dragon Academy as Kong Tianlie to remain near the children without revealing his identity. Presenting himself as a rank-89 External Martial Soul Master with “Rayquaza,” he established a Soul Tool class and selected thirty students for specialized instruction 211 212 213.

Appearance

• Childhood: Initially frail and sallow from deprivation. By eleven, he is approximately 1.5 meters tall, handsome, and exceptionally sturdy from regular training, whale rubber, and medicinal baths 9.
• After canyon training: Has reddish-bronze skin, sharply defined muscles, resolute eyes, and numerous old wounds across his upper body 60.
• After ice-and-fire tempering: Develops faint golden markings, especially across his chest, resembling an emerging dragon pattern 44.
• Dragon Body Power: Enlarges his body and produces dragon scales and claws. Under Martial Soul Avatar, black scales cover him and his black hair turns purple 87 134.

Personality

Long Qianming is fiercely independent, particularly toward the clan that mistreated his mother. He rejects its resources even when poor and spends years improving his body to avoid relying entirely on Xiao Tian. His early cultivation combines clinic work, nighttime hunting, weapons practice, and carefully purchased medicinal resources 3 9 13.

He is cautious and secretive about his abilities. He conceals Xiao Tian behind a supposed spear Martial Soul, fabricates explanations for his dragonman form, and uses Simulation to escape scrutiny. His deceptions also have a playful or self-serving side: he exaggerates his injuries to enjoy Bibi Dong’s care 42 89 90.

His compassion is selective rather than unconditional. He initially considers abandoning a poisoned stranger to avoid trouble, then returns to save the child. Conversely, his hatred of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan culminates in the deliberate extermination of its bloodline, including descendants living outside its headquarters 91 188 190.

With his family, he is affectionate but demanding. He becomes visibly anxious during Bibi Dong’s labor, delights in holding his newborn children, and later sets strict cultivation standards for them. He tolerates Long Zishu’s mischief while repeatedly correcting her tendency to slack off 176 185 211.
