Ye Li transmigrated into the body of a previously ordinary and honest martial arts student shortly before a school sparring match. The body’s original owner had lost his parents early and had been repeatedly mistreated by his childhood sweetheart, Shen Lian, including being used as a target for her martial-skill tests. 1 5

After discovering his Malice Point system, Ye Li perfected the Flowing Water Fist Technique and Cloud-Breaking Spear Technique, then defeated School Team substitute Wang Ren in a guidance match. His performance earned him Wang Ren’s place on Linhai First High School’s School Team. 2 3

Snow God City’s eldest daughter, Zuo Miaoqing, came to Alliance headquarters to meet Ye Li after Lady Purple Seclusion’s death. Although Lu Xuan warned that the visit might be hostile, Ye Li chose to meet her directly. He subsequently accepted an invitation to Snow God City and traveled there with Lu Xuan, while Zuo and her father privately planned to assess his strength and uncover his abilities. 1037 1042

At Snow God City’s wedding banquet, Ye Li publicly killed the city lord, Zuo Guannan. Chu Xiyue, the bride presented as a Jade Purity Pavilion direct disciple, assisted him in obtaining the city lord’s valuables and outwardly submitted to him. When Ye Li later asked her to guide him through the Primordial Sea, she learned that he claimed no powerful Dao Lineage as his backing. Ye Li entered the Soulbirth Sect and became entangled in its predatory schemes. After killing its ninth-level Eternal Life elder Lin Ku, he confronted second elder Wei Ting, who attempted to resolve the dispute by placing Heavenly Origin Master Zhou Yan in his custody. Ye Li recognized that this arrangement was also a test and kept Zhou Yan with him because openly releasing her would expose her to further danger. With Zhou Yan’s assistance, Ye Li reached the peak ninth stage of Eternal Life but deliberately postponed Spirit Nurturing. As his influence expanded, Ye Li investigated the crimes of regional Dao Lords before targeting them for cultivation resources. After developing his True Source cultivation, Ye Li traveled in Lu Hai Changling. At the Tree Court Inn, he killed Gaoyang City lord’s son Duan Hai and two attacking maids, then drew the attention of Duan Hai’s father by moving freely within his Sinking Sea technique despite his lower realm. 1290 1303

Ye Li hired Lu Yun as a guide to the Azure Current Secret Realm. When a Wang Family cultivator knocked her from the entrance bridge and threatened Ye Li for rescuing her, he killed the attacker rather than submit to the families’ privileged treatment. Outside the realm, Ye Li challenged the Kong and Wang Families’ higher-realm elders.
