Heavenly Supervision Department

The Eastern Continent’s Heavenly Supervision Department oversees local order through its headquarters, prefectural branches, Assistant Magistrates, elders, and Supreme Elders. Its personnel investigate cultivation-related threats and suppress dangerous sects, aristocratic families, and rogue cultivators. 420 443 445

• Chu Qiming serves as the Eastern Continent’s Director of the Celestial Observatory and is regarded as its foremost conventional combat force. 400 421
• The department’s distinguished members use specialized equipment, including limited-quantity Harmony Light White Jade communication tools that permit real-time long-distance communication. 377
• A Guest Elder Jade Token grants recognized elders freedom from ordinary flight restrictions within the continent. 421

Demon Suppression Department

The Demon Suppression Department shares responsibility for the continent’s external security. Together with the Celestial Observatory, it is one of the few forces capable of maintaining the Eastern Continent’s borders against surrounding hostile races. 421

• The continent is threatened by four great foreign races, which have formed a loose alliance around its borders. 421
• During the Silver Horned Heavenly Steed invasion, the department’s frontier forces could not stop the legion alone; only Chu Qiming was considered capable of resisting its charge within the continent. 527

Major Incidents

Wanjing Grand Commandery Purge

Ye Li’s arrival in Wanjing Grand Commandery triggered the destruction of its two dominant local powers. Purple Cloud Cave was breached after evidence of its crimes was established, while the Yun Family’s assassination plot against Ye Li was exposed during a banquet. 443

• Purple Cloud Cave’s master and more than one hundred high-tier martial artists were killed after Ye Li forcibly broke its Sect Protection Array. 443
• Thousands of Yun Family members, including its matriarch, were killed after their plot was uncovered. 443
• The purge removed threats that had troubled the local Heavenly Supervision Department and caused Ye Li’s reputation to spread throughout the continent. 440 443

Border Crisis

While Ye Li was away in the Western Continent, two Creation Realm great demons emerged near the Eastern Continent’s frontier, creating an exceptional security crisis. 524

The Silver Horned Heavenly Steed race subsequently gathered tens of thousands of members outside the border. Ye Li returned, slew the True Monarch of the Heavenly Steed, annihilated the Heavenly Steed Legion with a single palm strike, and ended the immediate invasion threat. 527 528
