Eastern Continent is reached from Tianheng Star through a spatial wormhole and a concealed teleportation array leading directly to the region. Qin Han, an Eastern Continent native, created the wormhole through the Heavenly Machine Pavilion using resources arranged by his master. The wormhole was temporary and designed to be scrapped after a single use. 380

Heavenly Supervision Department

The Eastern Continent’s Heavenly Supervision Department oversees local order through its headquarters, prefectural branches, Assistant Magistrates, elders, and Supreme Elders. Its personnel investigate cultivation-related threats and suppress dangerous sects, aristocratic families, and rogue cultivators. 420 443 445

• Chu Qiming serves as the Eastern Continent’s Director of the Celestial Observatory and is regarded as its foremost conventional combat force before Ye Li’s rise. 400 421 528
• The department’s distinguished members use specialized equipment, including limited-quantity Harmony Light White Jade communication tools that permit real-time long-distance communication. 377
• A Guest Elder Jade Token grants recognized elders freedom from ordinary flight restrictions within the continent. 421

Ye Li’s early achievements were particularly significant because he became the Eastern Continent’s third True Person-level existence whose combat strength did not depend on Faithful Wish Power. His subsequent growth far exceeded the department’s original expectations: after the Heavenly Steed crisis, Chu Qiming acknowledged that Ye Li’s prestige was sufficient to displace him from office without a direct confrontation. 421 528

Demon Suppression Department

The Demon Suppression Department shares responsibility for the continent’s external security. Together with the Celestial Observatory, it is one of the few forces capable of maintaining the Eastern Continent’s borders against surrounding hostile races. 421

Major Incidents

Wanjing Grand Commandery Purge

Ye Li’s arrival in Wanjing Grand Commandery triggered the destruction of its two dominant local powers. Purple Cloud Cave was breached after evidence of its crimes was established, while the Yun Family’s assassination plot against Ye Li was exposed during a banquet. 443

• Purple Cloud Cave’s master and more than one hundred high-tier martial artists were killed after Ye Li forcibly broke its Sect Protection Array. 443
• Thousands of Yun Family members, including its matriarch, were killed after their plot was uncovered. 443
• The purge removed threats that had troubled the local Heavenly Supervision Department and caused Ye Li’s reputation to spread throughout the continent. 440 443

Fu Yunshu considered Ye Li’s continued presence a powerful deterrent against the emergence of comparable predatory forces. Assistant Magistrates across the continent were astonished by his achievements, with some viewing him as a potential new living ancestor of the region. 440 444

Further Suppression Campaigns

After resolving the Wanjing crisis, Ye Li requested intelligence on Divine Connection Realm scourges in other prefectures. He intended to suppress additional threats before the Five Continents War while using those encounters to improve his own abilities. 442

During the operation associated with Qingping Prefecture and the Blue Jade Mountain Range, three Divine Connection Realm beings were left dead. Kong Ting reported no further unreported threats in the area. True Fire Elder, whose earlier dissatisfaction with Ye Li had disappeared, regarded the campaign as breaking the longstanding oppressive shadow over the Eastern Continent’s common people. 451

The continent was subsequently described as having undergone a major purge, although its archives still recorded numerous corrupt sect forces. Ye Li later used this contrast to assess how much worse conditions might be in regions where forced purges had been abandoned. 526

Five Continents War Delegation

Ye Li accompanied Fu Yunshu and Qin Han to the Central Continent Royal City for the Five Continents War, traveling on a departmental shuttle with Ziwei Hall Star Lord Ying Xuanji. Fu Yunshu and Qin Han sought opportunities from the Taiqing Dao Tablet, while Ye Li was particularly interested in its ability to grant higher-tier cultivation methods. 417 447 453

• True Fire Elder advised the two disciples to remain discreet rather than rely ostentatiously on Ye Li’s reputation, warning that conflicts with other continents’ prodigies could create difficulties for the Eastern Continent’s department. 453

Border Crisis

While Ye Li was away in the Western Continent, two Creation Realm great demons emerged near the Eastern Continent’s frontier, creating an exceptional security crisis. 524

Ying Xuanji traveled to Liuchuan Prefecture, where she examined the frontier situation while Fu Yunshu organized intelligence. Chu Qiming returned from a brutal battle exhausted and injured, and asked whether the Thousand-Faced Demon Fox had been located. The simultaneous appearance of two Creation Realm demons was considered especially unusual among the four major demon-race powers surrounding the region. 523 524

The Silver Horned Heavenly Steed race subsequently gathered tens of thousands of members outside the border. Ye Li returned, slew the True Monarch of the Heavenly Steed, annihilated the Heavenly Steed Legion with a single palm strike, and ended the immediate invasion threat. 527 528

Before Ye Li’s intervention, the legion waited beyond the frontier for an opportunity to charge once Chu Qiming withdrew. Its coordinated battle formation and innate abilities made it a threat the ordinary border forces could not withstand. The Heavenly Steed True Monarch attempted to escape after recognizing Ye Li’s overwhelming strength, but failed. 527 528

Following the victory, Ye Li asked Chu Qiming about remaining threats and then departed for the Southern Continent to address the Heavenly Talisman Sect’s actions against him. 528 529

Wider Divine Continent Conflicts

Ye Li continued to be identified as an Eastern Continent elder during his campaigns elsewhere in Taiqing Shenzhou. His destruction of the Heavenly Talisman Sect and other corrupt powers caused his reputation to spread beyond his original jurisdiction. Ying Potian subsequently authorized Ying Xuanji to access the four continents’ archives to support the wider purge. 533 536 538 540

The Sky Wolf Demon Emperor viewed the Eastern Continent elder’s emergence as a strategic threat. Concerned that Ye Li’s cooperation with regional Directors could unite the Divine Continent, it planned an invasion of the entire Shenzhou rather than only the Northern Continent, intending to exploit anticipated internal disturbances. 543 544

Ye Li later confronted the Upper Realm visitors Mu Jingtai and Mu Zhaorong, defeating Mu Zhaorong despite the visitors’ presumed superiority. Their unauthorized attempt to obtain the Taiqing Dao Tablet created a wider diplomatic crisis with the Taicang Mu Family. Ye Li sought a course that would let him continue advancing while protecting the Divine Continent and eventually departed for Great Sheng. 563 566 573
