Organization and jurisdiction

The Heavenly Supervision Department is one of Taiqing Shenzhou's principal official institutions. Ziwei Hall handles decision-making and emergency dispatches, the Heavenly Supervision Department supervises the realm, and the Demon Suppression Department defends against outside enemies. Ziwei Hall can dispatch either department during critical situations. 445

History

Recruitment of Ye Li

Qin Han invited Ye Li to become a Guest Elder while the Eastern Continent faced widespread instability. He stressed that an additional high-level expert would deter threats across the department's thirty-six counties. 370

At headquarters, Ye Li's appointment was challenged by Imperial Sky Observatory Elder Chen Rui. After Chen abused his authority, Ye Li executed him and presented official documentation to the Law Enforcement Hall before departing to address the Tai'an Prefecture crisis. 383

The department's leadership initially issued no public disciplinary action over Chen Rui's death. After Tai'an's crisis was resolved, many personnel concluded that Ye Li had acted with tacit approval to remove a corrupt elder; several other elders subsequently curbed their own misconduct. 398

Tai'an Grand Prefecture

The Nine Tripod Sword Sect had resisted the Tai'an department through its sect-protecting formation and Sect Master Zhu Yue, a Half-step True Person who had colluded with foreign demonic forces. 384

Ye Li executed Zhu Yue and chief disciple Tang Chen, after which Tai'an Director Che Wen Zhong led departmental personnel to secure and clean up the sect. 394

Yinhai Grand Commandery

Record Keeper Fu Yunshu asked Ye Li to curb the Red Dust Immortal Gate, whose two Divine Connection Realm True Persons had emboldened it to ignore local departmental orders. 401

Ye Li destroyed the Red Dust Immortal Gate before the Yinhai forces arrived. The local department found its mountain gate in ruins and recognized that the Guest Elder had eliminated the threat alone. 416

Wanjing Grand Commandery cleansing

Wanjing's Assistant Magistrate Du An had accepted benefits from the Yun Family and Purple Cloud Cave, allowing those factions to become more influential than the local department. 422

Ye Li executed Du An, assumed control of Wanjing Grand Commandery, and declared his intent to bring all Renowned Great Sects in the region under departmental authority. The local disciples accepted his decree. 424

He then ordered departmental forces to seal off Purple Cloud Cave, eradicated the sect's corrupt members, and later destroyed the Yun Family. 427 429 440

In response, Chu Qiming promoted Ye Li to Supreme Elder and ordered all Grand Commanderies to report Divine Connection Realm threats directly to headquarters. 421 443

Five Continents War

The Eastern Continent department sent Ye Li, Qin Han, and Fu Yunshu to the Central Continent Royal City for the Five Continents War. Central Continent officials received Ye Li as the Eastern Continent's accompanying elder. 453 454
