The Heavenly Supervision Department is one of Taiqing Shenzhou's principal official institutions. Chu Qiming frequently assisted the Demon Suppression Department against foreign races, while the other senior expert's breakthrough seclusion left regional officials without readily available True Person support. When necessary, the department could borrow personnel from the Demon Suppression Department. 384

The two established Eastern Continent True Persons were both late-stage Divine Connection Realm cultivators and were considered difficult for Royal City factions to provoke. History

Recruitment of Ye Li

Qin Han invited Ye Li to become a Guest Elder while the Eastern Continent faced widespread instability. He stressed that an additional high-level expert would deter threats across the department's thirty-six counties. 370

At headquarters, Ye Li's appointment was challenged by Imperial Sky Observatory Elder Chen Rui. After Chen abused his authority, Ye Li executed him and presented official documentation to the Law Enforcement Hall before departing to address the Tai'an Prefecture crisis. 383

Qin Han initially attempted to take responsibility for the incident, but Ye Li intervened and warned the Law Enforcement Hall against delaying the urgent military operation under the pretext of investigating him. The hall's personnel cleared his path. 383

The department's leadership initially issued no public disciplinary action over Chen Rui's death. After Tai'an's crisis was resolved, many personnel concluded that Ye Li had acted with tacit approval to remove a corrupt elder; several other elders subsequently curbed their own misconduct. 398

Chu Qiming's senior disciple Tan Hua initially insisted that Ye Li should be punished according to departmental rules, while Fu Yunshu argued that his service in Tai'an warranted leniency. After Ye Li's subsequent achievements and promotion, Tan Hua welcomed him back to headquarters and delivered Chu Qiming's medicinal reward. 398 445

Tai'an Grand Prefecture

The Nine Tripod Sword Sect had resisted the Tai'an department through its sect-protecting formation and Sect Master Zhu Yue, a Half-step True Person who had colluded with foreign demonic forces. 384

Zhu Yue had secretly handed martial artists seeking sword-cultivation assistance over to foreign races in exchange for resources. The Tai'an department's two Half-step True Persons could not overcome her while she controlled the sect's protective formation. 384

During the campaign, Ye Li also killed departmental Elder Wei Shan. Although Wei Shan possessed Half-step True Person strength, he had held back against the enemy while ordering disciples into costly assaults, making him deeply resented by the department's frontline forces. 387 395

Ye Li executed Zhu Yue and chief disciple Tang Chen, after which Tai'an Director Che Wen Zhong led departmental personnel to secure and clean up the sect. 394

The surviving Sword Sect disciples were escorted down Cloud Pine Mountain for judgment. Che Wen Zhong and Qin Han regarded their possible future departmental service as both an opportunity for atonement and a source of support for Ye Li's eventual advancement within the organization. 395

Yinhai Grand Commandery

Record Keeper Fu Yunshu asked Ye Li to curb the Red Dust Immortal Gate, whose two Divine Connection Realm True Persons had emboldened it to ignore local departmental orders. 401

Xu Chengbi received incriminating documents against the sect, and an urgent report revealed that its disciples were attempting to break into the Wolong Prefecture department's prison using an Immortal Gate treasure. The incident escalated the conflict and exposed the difficulty of enforcing departmental authority against the sect. 404 405

Ye Li destroyed the Red Dust Immortal Gate before the Yinhai forces arrived. The local department found its mountain gate in ruins and recognized that the Guest Elder had eliminated the threat alone. 416

The performance report credited Ye Li with killing the sect's two Divine Connection Realm True Persons and several Heaven and Earth Realm elders. On receiving the report, Chu Qiming offered him the position of Supreme Elder, placing him above local Assistant Magistrates. 421

Wanjing Grand Commandery cleansing

Wanjing's Assistant Magistrate Du An had accepted benefits from the Yun Family and Purple Cloud Cave, allowing those factions to become more influential than the local department. 422

His corruption included secretly recruiting and supplying young martial prodigies to the two factions in return for cultivation resources. The arrangement deprived the local department of effective independence and exposed the youths to exploitation. 422 424

Ye Li executed Du An, assumed control of Wanjing Grand Commandery, and declared his intent to bring all Renowned Great Sects in the region under departmental authority. The local disciples accepted his decree. 424

He then ordered departmental forces to seal off Purple Cloud Cave, eradicated the sect's corrupt members, and later destroyed the Yun Family. 427 429 440

Lian Mo and the regional forces complied with the blockade order, which was intended to prevent Purple Cloud Cave disciples from escaping during Ye Li's attack. Fu Yunshu subsequently arrived with the Supreme Elder's seal and robes and learned that Du An had already been executed. 427 432

After the cleansing, departmental personnel secured the Yun Family's ruined estate. Ye Li destroyed the blood altar used to drain prodigies' vital blood and release their trapped souls, while Fu Yunshu reported the operation to Chu Qiming. 440 442

Following Ye Li's earlier promotion to Supreme Elder, Chu Qiming rewarded his Wanjing achievements and ordered all Grand Commanderies to report Divine Connection Realm threats directly to headquarters. 421 443

Qingping Prefecture

Kong Ting ordered Xuantian Sect to halt its mining operations in the Blue Jade Mountain Range under a superior's directive. The sect had previously maintained access to the valuable ores by mining for the resident Griffon Great Demon and sharing its profits. 449

Ye Li subsequently killed the Divine Connection Realm demon. Kong Ting, the True Fire Elder, and other departmental officials witnessed his overwhelming strength; after asking whether any other Divine Connection Realm threats had been reported nearby, Ye Li departed. 451

Five Continents War

The Eastern Continent department sent Ye Li, Qin Han, and Fu Yunshu to the Central Continent Royal City for the Five Continents War. Central Continent officials received Ye Li as the Eastern Continent's accompanying elder. 453 454

Departmental prodigies were commonly isolated or collectively targeted during the event because of the organization's distinctive official role. Fu Yunshu hoped Ye Li's presence as accompanying elder would protect their group outside the secret realms. 440 444

Qiu Tianzong asked Ye Li to remain at the Royal City department during the two days before the war, citing hidden instability beneath Central Continent's apparently secure surface. The department later restricted departures from the city and detained participating prodigies during its screening operation. 461 471 480

The Royal City department helped contain the fallout from the event and supported Ye Li's subsequent actions against hostile prodigies and demonic threats. 480 486

After Ye Li adopted a hardline stance toward the forces behind the offending prodigies, Qiu Tianzong ordered their death reports compiled and sent to their respective factions, warning that objections could bring Ye Li's direct involvement. Central Continent Director Zhang Shouzhen and Ziwei Hall Master Tian Qingwu supported the action, although they remained conscious of the danger of wider sect resistance. 486

Southern Continent pressure campaign

The Heavenly Talisman Sect demanded sixty million tons of Thick Earth Virtue from the Heavenly Supervision Department. Its demand represented more than a single sect's grievance: factions behind the prodigies killed in the Royal City were collectively testing Shenzhou's response and the importance it attached to Ye Li. 530 532

Ying Xuanji contacted the Southern Continent Director to investigate the situation. Internal instructions from Ying Potian had already given the continental Directors a general understanding of Ye Li's significance to Shenzhou. 530

Ye Li confronted the Heavenly Talisman Sect rather than apologizing for its prodigy's death. He explicitly cited the Heavenly Supervision Department as the source of his authority and demanded an explanation for the sect's threat to curse an Eastern Continent elder. 533

Afterward, Ye Li reviewed scrolls concerning the factions involved in the pressure campaign from the Southern Continent department's Supreme Council Hall. He instructed Chen Zhan to compile records of major crimes committed over the preceding five thousand years by the continent's two major sects possessing Creation Realm experts and send the dossiers to the Eastern Continent department. Chen Zhan complied and fully supported the investigation. 536

Upper Realm envoy's visit

The Central Continent headquarters hosted the arrival of an envoy from the Nine Domains Realm. The visitor's overwhelming presence silenced the compound and prompted Enforcers to withdraw from its interior. 557

The envoy sought to exchange the Great Void Method for the Taiqing Dao Tablet, an offer Ye Li declined. In preparation for a subsequent meeting, officials summoned all enforcement elders holding relevant positions rather than risk excluding someone who might qualify as high-ranking.
