Background

Long Zhanye first met Lu Ling in the Heaven-reaching Mountain Range on the Ancient Desolate Continent. The Mysterious Dragon Emperor encouraged her to follow him, promising that his Spirit Body would help her grow quickly. Lu Ling likewise persuaded her by offering accelerated growth through his Summoning System 12 42.

Her contract astonished Pearl Academy’s examiners. Dean Xiao identified her as a pureblood true dragon and called Lu Ling the first person on record to have formed a contract with one 6.

Long Zhanye and the Mysterious Dragon Emperor are the world’s only two Heavenly Star White Dragons, described as eternal, undying twins. Their bloodline awakening reveals that Long Zhanye is actually the elder sister: she governs strength, while her twin governs the mind. Before this revelation, Long Zhanye had treated the stronger, mature-looking Dragon Emperor as her older sister 129 254.

Appearance

Long Zhanye has a white dragon form and a human form that usually resembles a small girl. Her dragon body grows dramatically while her ordinary human appearance remains largely unchanged 74 126.

• Dragon form: White scales, wings, and golden slit pupils. She measures over twenty meters long early on and reaches roughly a hundred meters in later appearances 9 16 233.
• Usual human form: Approximately 1.3 meters tall, with silver-white hair, large golden eyes, and a plain white dress 74 126.
• Adult human form: A tall woman with long silvery-white hair, recognizable features, and a more mature voice; she dresses herself in a luxurious white robe when displaying this form 391.

Personality

Long Zhanye is proud of her pureblood heritage and expects others to acknowledge her authority. She calls Lu Ling “human” or her “servant,” insists that she is his master, and openly scorns attempts to control dragons. Praise and respectful titles nevertheless win her over remarkably easily 219 321 363.

Her greatest insecurity is her human form’s lack of growth. She repeatedly pressures Lu Ling to cultivate his Summoning System, envies mature appearances, and becomes angry when her height is mocked. The frustration eventually drives her to tears and makes her fear that she will never grow up 40 199 342 390.

Beneath her bluster, she is deeply attached to Lu Ling. She refuses to abandon him when he is dying, begs her sister to save him, and chooses to bind her life to his. Later, she quietly rejoices when Netherworld’s return relieves his long-standing grief, despite loudly denying that she worries about him 253 254 303.

She also loves sleeping, being carried, and eating human food. Meals frequently serve as her reward for fighting or running errands, while Lu Ling’s shoulders and chest become favorite resting places 74 128 233 329.
