Everything around them seemed to have fallen still.

"What does this mean, sir?"

Devourer of Desolation Divine Lord said calmly, "Merely a minor application of divine power. Only the two of us will know of this conversation."

"Work for me from now on. When the time is right, I can let you join the Sacred Dynasty."

Hearing this, Luo Chen thought to himself that he truly was a man of the Sacred Dynasty.

He took a deep breath and pretended not to understand. "I'm only an alchemist. Neither my cultivation nor combat strength is high. Even if I entered the Sacred Dynasty, I'd only be a peripheral nobody. I might as well remain in the Starfall Ancient Realm."
