History

The Sacred Dynasty began when Daoist Lord Guangxian arrived in the Primeval Great World from beyond the heavens. After accepting Gu Heng as his first disciple and transmitting complete cultivation inheritances, Guangxian established the Sacred Dynasty as the first sect of providence. It recruited gifted humans and fought the barbaric ancient gods and innate Sacred Ones that dominated the primitive world. Gu Heng became renowned after beheading several hundred ancient gods in one battle and received the title Eternal Dao Sacred King. 435

The dynasty's founder taught the path of cultivation to the world's living beings, which later became the basis for the Sacred Dynasty's claim that it is the Primeval Great World's orthodox ruler. 465 Its original incarnation was eventually destroyed by the Heavenly Dao Immortal Gods; surviving cultivators who had gone beyond the heavens later returned and rebuilt the present dynasty. 464

For a million years, the dynasty's Heavenly Lord was absent, leaving the Sacred Emperor to exercise its highest visible authority. During this period, factions within the dynasty opposed reincarnation, fearing a prophecy that reincarnation would produce a future Heavenly Lord. 318 320

Leadership and Hierarchy

• Heavenly Lord Ling Yun — the dynasty's foremost pillar and former strongest cultivator of the Primeval Great World. He later reappeared, intervened against Lin Jiuxiao, and ordered the Sacred Emperor to abdicate. 573 603
• Sacred Emperor — the dynasty's ruler during the Heavenly Lord's absence; he sought to preserve the dynasty through alliances, recruitment, and repeated attempts to advance his cultivation. 353 456 470

• Primeval Limitless Tower — the dynasty's sect-suppressing supreme treasure and the artifact used to stabilize its fortune. It is a seven-tiered golden tower engraved with primordial Dao patterns and scenes of ancient worship. 492
• Heavenly Dao God-Sealing Record — a forbidden inheritance coveted by the so-called Dao Thieves among the Heavenly Dao Immortal Gods. 490
• Gu Heng's legacy — supreme treasures left behind by the Eternal Dao Sacred King remain part of the dynasty's long-standing foundation. 470

Public Order and Internal Conduct

The Sacred Dynasty publicly presents itself as the guardian of cosmic order. Its rulers generally avoid indiscriminate slaughter of weaker cultivators and maintain stability across the World Sea. 309 311

Its conduct is nevertheless widely feared. The dynasty has hunted reincarnation cultivators and ancient treasure-body possessors, dispatched secret monitors into subordinate realms, and pursued Solitary Dust True Person's lineage across the Starfall Ancient Realm after a Sacred Dynasty treasure was stolen. 318 338 366 375

The Sacred Emperor also admitted to using the Dark Emperor in his contest against Dragon Court, despite later attempting to recruit Luo Chen on the grounds of his merit in slaying dark forces. 353

Major Conflicts

Reincarnation Cultivators

Certain upper-echelon figures fear the return of the Reincarnation Sacred King and have treated reincarnation cultivators as enemies. The Nether Ruins Saint King's hostility toward reincarnation is described as a personal grudge rather than the unanimous position of every Sacred Dynasty ruler. 311 318

After the Dark Emperor's demonic infant was taken from the Starfall Ancient Realm, the dynasty launched a broad search for Solitary Dust True Person and his lineage. It later pardoned the lineage after an intervention by an unknown powerhouse. 338 352

The Sacred Emperor subsequently promised Luo Chen that the dynasty would cease pursuing reincarnation cultivators and would no longer disturb his cultivation. 353

Dragon Court

• Rivalry — Dragon Court and the Sacred Dynasty are the Primeval Cosmos' two dominant fortune sects. Dragon Court views the dynasty as an outsider-founded force that has monopolized the world's providence. 320 465
• Open war — their conflict escalated from covert competition to repeated battles across the World Sea, creating widespread instability and accumulating tribulation qi. 377
• Sacred Dragon Emperor's breakthrough — the Sacred Dynasty attacked when the Sacred Dragon Emperor underwent tribulation. Its forces were repelled, allowing him to attain a Hunyuan Dao Fruit and damage the dynasty's standing. 423 424

Heavenly Dao Immortal Gods

The original Sacred Dynasty was destroyed during its conflict with the Heavenly Dao Immortal Gods. The return of immortal and godly beings from reincarnation revived this ancient threat and forced the dynasty's Great Emperors to gather in preparation for a major tribulation. 456 457

The dynasty fears that its forbidden Heavenly Dao God-Sealing Record is the true target of the Dao Thieves, who regard the inheritance as a supreme scripture. 490
