Hearing Du Busi's question, Yun Luo thought for a while before speaking.
"I'll probably stay in the sect for a while, studying the connection between our Martial Souls with Su Tong, along with a few other things."
"That's good, too. I have some matters to handle lately and won't have time to accompany you outside. Cultivate diligently."
"Once you become a Limit Douluo in the future, why would our Body Sect need to worry about failing to rise again?"
Du Busi nodded and said with a smile.
After all, in his view, the root cause of the Body Sect's gradual decline in the future was the lack of a Limit Douluo to preside over it.
But now that they had Yun Luo, the sect's revival was no longer empty talk. Even if the Sun Moon Empire's Soul Tools ran rampant, they would ultimately be beneath mention in the face of truly formidable strength.
"Thank you for your concern, Sect Master. I certainly won't disappoint everyone's expectations."
"Good, good, good. Since you plan to stay in the Body Sect, it's time I went to handle some matters."
"Once I've finished, I'll accompany you outside to gain experience."
Hearing Du Busi's promise, Yun Luo gently shook his head.
"Sect Master, with my current strength, I can put up a fight even against a rank ninety-six Super Douluo,
so you don't need to focus all your attention on me. You can attend to the sect's affairs."
Hearing Yun Luo's words, Du Busi thought studying these formations had addled his brain. Worried that Yun Luo had also grown too full of himself, he spoke sternly.
"Yun Luo, although your talent is excellent, don't be blindly overconfident. Many prodigies have fallen on the road to success for precisely that reason."
Hearing Du Busi's admonition, Yun Luo realized he had misunderstood and explained with a smile.
"Sect Master, you've misunderstood. I'm telling the truth."
Seeing the disbelief and confusion in Du Busi's eyes, Yun Luo felt that, since he had already stripped Huo Yuhao of so much of his luck, saying a little about this should be all right.
"Sect Master, the reason I'm confident is that, in the future, there's something called Battle Armor."
"Battle Armor?"
Hearing what Yun Luo said, the confusion in Du Busi's eyes deepened.
After finishing that sentence and feeling nothing, Yun Luo breathed a sigh of relief and continued.
"That's right. Battle Armor is a product of our era. It can be called a soul master's second life.
It requires a soul master's personal participation in its forging, followed by prolonged nurturing with their own blood essence, Soul Power, and Martial Soul. It's an extension of the soul master's body and Martial Soul, and outsiders cannot use it.
Battle Armor can multiply attack and defense, improve the efficiency of Soul Power circulation, reduce Soul Power consumption, and allow its wearer to fight above their rank."
After hearing Yun Luo's explanation, Du Busi's eyes were filled with shock, and he even couldn't help swallowing.
"Is this Battle Armor you mentioned from the future really that powerful?"
Looking at the disbelief in Du Busi's eyes, Yun Luo nodded.
"Yes. The Battle Armor of the future is that powerful."
"I know this is hard to believe, Sect Master, so I've decided to demonstrate it for you."
As he spoke, Yun Luo headed out of the room first and entered the courtyard.
"Cloud Spirit."
As Yun Luo finished speaking and activated his Soul Power, the spirit-forged metal being nurtured within his body abruptly awakened.
An icy, crystalline glimmer seeped from beneath his skin. Armor plates slowly emerged from his flesh, fitting over his torso and limbs in sequence.
The armor was ice-blue throughout, engraved with delicate spirit patterns like flowing clouds, its texture as light as mist.
The breastplate, arm guards, and leg armor took shape in succession. A pair of ice-crystal wings slowly unfurled behind him, a diamond-shaped crystal on his forehead gleamed with cold light, and the helmet slowly closed.
As Yun Luo donned the Battle Armor, his seven-ring presence abruptly rose to the level of a Titled Douluo.
"This... I..."
Du Busi was so shocked by the sight that he could not even get his words out, merely staring at Yun Luo in disbelief.
Du Busi had never imagined that Soul Tools could become so powerful in the future, granting someone with seven-ring cultivation the strength of a Titled Douluo.
If he fucking told anyone this, they would think he had gone mad. After all, who would believe someone claiming they could rival a Titled Douluo just by putting on a suit of armor???
Seeing Du Busi's shocked expression, Yun Luo withdrew his Battle Armor and continued explaining.
"Sect Master, this suit of Battle Armor of mine isn't even the strongest."
"Not the strongest? There are even stronger ones?"
Hearing that there was even stronger armor, Du Busi no longer knew what to say.
"That's right. Battle Armor is divided into one-word through four-word Battle Armor, and mine is only two-word."
After hearing this, Du Busi dismissed his original belief that having a Limit Douluo meant they need not fear an invasion by the Sun Moon Empire.
If the Sun Moon Empire's Limit Douluo had this armor, what could they possibly fight them with?
Then, as though something had occurred to him, Du Busi spoke excitedly.
"Then, lad, can you mass-produce this Battle Armor?"
"Mass-produce it? Sect Master, listen to what you're saying."
"Even in ten thousand years, mass-producing Battle Armor won't be possible."
Hearing Du Busi's outrageous conjecture, Yun Luo couldn't stop the corners of his mouth from twitching.
"In that case..."
While the two were still talking, the door to Yun Luo's room opened with a soft creak, slowly being pushed aside.
A slender figure stood in the doorway. It was Su Tong.
She wore a simple, elegant, pristine white gauze dress that set off her skin, lustrous and white as snow, its hem falling lightly.
Her already cool and exquisite features now held a hint of unease. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and her tender pink earlobes were faintly red.
Su Tong's arrival also brought Yun Luo and Du Busi's conversation to a halt, and they turned to look at her.
"Um... did I interrupt you?"
Su Tong looked at the two in the courtyard, her eyes full of shyness.
After bathing, she had hesitated for ages before coming here. She hadn't expected to arrive at the wrong time, with the sect master actually here at Yun Luo's place.
"No. You two talk. I still have matters to attend to."
After giving Yun Luo a look, Du Busi vanished from the courtyard.
At the look Du Busi had given him, Yun Luo couldn't help putting a hand to his forehead.
A gentle breeze drifted through the courtyard, and the branches and leaves swayed softly. Only Yun Luo and the blushing Su Tong remained, facing one another. The atmosphere instantly quieted, until Yun Luo finally spoke to break the balance.
"Well, since you're here, come with me."
"All right."
Su Tong nodded, closed the courtyard gate, and followed Yun Luo into his room.
The light inside was soft, and a faint fragrance of grass and wood lingered around their noses.
"Sit wherever you like for now. I'll tidy up."
As Yun Luo spoke, he gathered up the formation diagrams on the bed.
"All right."
Su Tong nodded obediently and sat down on a chair.
Once Yun Luo finished putting everything away, he wiped the sweat from his forehead and pointed at the bed as he spoke to Su Tong.
"Come on up."
Hearing his words, Su Tong nodded somewhat shyly.
Although she knew it was only ordinary cultivation and research, she still couldn't help feeling shy inside. Fidgeting, she took off her shoes and gently sat on the edge of the bed.
Her white gauze dress followed the contours of her figure, and she looked gentle and serene. Her lowered eyes were full of bashfulness, and she dared not raise them to look at Yun Luo.
"Since there's a pull between our Martial Souls, let's put our hands together and test the compatibility of our Soul Power."
Seeing Su Tong sit on the bed, Yun Luo took off his shoes and sat on it as well.
"All right."
Hearing Yun Luo's words, Su Tong shyly extended her soft, delicate hands.
Feeling Su Tong's tender skin, Yun Luo involuntarily froze for a moment, but quickly came to his senses. He coughed and spoke.
"Let's begin."
