Encounter in the Extreme North

After her parents' deaths, Su Tong continued cultivating independently. She traveled alone to the Extreme North to obtain her sixth Soul Ring. Although she successfully absorbed it, the blood from the hunt attracted approximately one hundred Icefield Giant Wolves led by a forty-thousand-year wolf king 12 13.

Initially fleeing, she turned to fight when the pack began catching up. She killed more than thirty wolves over half an hour, but nearly exhausted her Soul Power. As the wolf king attacked, she prepared to make a final attempt with her sixth soul skill. Yun Luo intervened before she could release it, struck the king aside, and destroyed the remaining pack 12.

When Su Tong tried to stand afterward, her legs buckled and Yun Luo caught her. Their proximity revealed a strong attraction between her Ice and Snow Maiden and his Ice Jade Empress Scorpion Martial Soul. She accepted his invitation to investigate the connection, motivated by gratitude and affinity, but also aware that she could not resist him or his powerful companions if they chose to force the issue 13.

Stay at the Body Sect

Su Tong questioned whether the Body Sect would admit someone without a Body Martial Soul. Yun Luo clarified that she would be accompanying him as a guest rather than joining the sect, and Du Busi permitted the arrangement. She received accommodation beside Yun Luo's residence 14 15.

During Yun Luo's absence in the Star Dou Great Forest, she cleaned his room. After his return, they began testing their Martial Soul compatibility by joining hands and circulating Soul Power. Their powers fused successfully in less than ten minutes 22 23 24.

Joint cultivation soon became a daily routine. Su Tong began bringing food to their sessions, and the pair ate before cultivating together. Within half a month, she reached rank sixty-two—progress that she estimated would otherwise have required at least two or three months 24.

Su Tong remains composed against immediate danger. Facing two wolves approaching ten thousand years of age, she shows no fear; when the entire pack attacks, she fights with determination rather than surrendering. Even at exhaustion, she prepares one final soul skill instead of abandoning hope 12.

Outside combat, she is easily embarrassed, particularly around Yun Luo. She blushes when he catches her, struggles to ask his name, and initially mistakes his invitation to nighttime Martial Soul research for an intimate proposition. Her gratitude does not eliminate her caution: she asks why he wants her to accompany him and questions whether she can enter his sect 13 14 22.

She becomes more comfortable through repeated cultivation sessions. Initially distracted by physical contact, she gradually begins conversations and establishes a shared meal-and-cultivation routine. The practical benefit of faster cultivation outweighs her reluctance to seek him out 24.
