Meeting Yun Luo

Du Busi was discussing the Body Sect’s development and potential successors with its senior members when a blue light appeared in their meeting hall. He personally investigated and found the gravely injured Yun Luo, whose six-ring Soul Emperor cultivation immediately caught his attention 1.

He supplied Yun Luo with a healing pill and cleared the hall to hear his explanation privately. Initially angered by Yun Luo’s claim to come from ten thousand years in the future, Du Busi released his Super Douluo pressure. Yun Luo’s Spirit Eyes Martial Soul and extraordinary Soul Rings persuaded him to reconsider, while a genuine Holy Son token provided stronger evidence: Du Busi still possessed the present era’s counterpart in his own storage soul tool 2.

Choosing a New Holy Son

Learning that the Body Sect would decline devastated Du Busi. When Yun Luo was struck unconscious while attempting to explain the cause, Du Busi caught him and correctly suspected that revealing important future events brought him harm. He accepted Yun Luo’s inability to explain further and placed his hopes in the youth’s promise to revive the sect 3.

Du Busi replaced his intended Holy Son candidate, Long Aotian, with Yun Luo. He overruled the elders’ objections but required Yun Luo to demonstrate his strength at the appointment ceremony. Expedition to the Extreme North

Du Busi concealed the party’s presence, located the Ice Emperor’s cavern, and helped establish a formation to hide their activities. He guarded Yun Luo during the creation of his second Martial Soul and the Ice Emperor’s sacrifice. Despite privately worrying throughout the lengthy absorption process, he urged the elders to trust Yun Luo. Supporting Yun Luo’s Plans

Du Busi arranged surveillance of Huo Yuhao without interfering with him, then supplied Yun Luo with updates and a voice-transmission soul tool before his journey to the Star Dou Great Forest. Although he initially assumed Yun Luo wanted to recruit Huo Yuhao, he did not press for an explanation after learning otherwise 6 15.

Personality

Du Busi is forceful and accustomed to obedience. When the elders opposed Yun Luo’s appointment, he suppressed them with his cultivation pressure and made clear that he was announcing a decision rather than inviting debate. His initial response to Yun Luo’s time-travel claim was similarly severe, though concrete evidence persuaded him to reconsider 2 4.

The Body Sect’s survival is his central concern. News of its future decline drove him to despair, but Yun Luo’s promise gave him a reason to act. His investment in Yun Luo combines affection with caution: he jokes with him, dismisses excessive formalities, protects his secrets, and warns him against the overconfidence that can destroy talented cultivators 3 6 11 23.
