Closing thoughts
Hey everyone, dear readers who've made it this far, hello!
As the author, when I typed "The End," I felt a mix of emotions—a sense of relief mixed with a feeling of emptiness.
First of all, thank you so much everyone.
To be honest, this book isn't exactly a hit in terms of data; not many people have read it, and the comment section is quite quiet. Sometimes I even wonder if I'm playing a single-player game.
However, it turned out to be the book that brought me the highest actual income of all my books—although this "highest" income was only about seven hundred yuan, which might be just a meal for many big shots, but for me, it was a rather unexpected encouragement.
Thank you to everyone who urged me to update, clicked, and even those who simply read on silently. It is you who made me feel that finishing this story was worthwhile.
Of course, it would be a lie to say I have no regrets.
Seeing that your favorite characters and storylines aren't being seen or discussed by more people always leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Luo Li and Castorice, as well as Shiyu, Shiyi, Luo Chen's family, Kong Yan'er, Cerydra, Lu Jingheng and the others... I was quite engrossed in writing them, and I tried my best to make them vivid.
Unfortunately, perhaps due to limited writing skills or bad luck, they failed to gain wider popularity.
I honestly admit that this is a regret.
So, I would like to apologize to everyone here. If there is anything in the story that is not well written or that you are not satisfied with, please forgive me.
Let's talk about the story itself, especially the ending.
Why was Luo Li made to say those things in the end, and why was this kind of ending chosen?
Actually, as I wrote further, I gradually came to understand myself. Along Luo Li's journey, from being a hapless streamer at the beginning, to being forced to fight, to becoming Aeon, to finding his wife and daughter, and establishing the Federation... he pursued power, struggled with reality and illusion, and tried to create a new world.
But after going around in circles, he realized that the most precious thing was not standing in a high place, but having a home to return to and people waiting for him at home.
For him, Castorice was never just the "female lead," but the anchor of all his struggles.
It was his two daughters who made him understand responsibility and inheritance, and it was the seemingly troublesome daily trivial matters that allowed him, the "God of Data," to truly feel the warmth of "living".
So I had him look at the starry sky and the lights one last time, and holding Castorice's hand, I said: The answer is here, in every ordinary day.
This is not to say that power, dreams, and creativity are unimportant, but rather that all these grand things should ultimately serve the simple goal of making specific people happy.
This is probably the personal reason I wanted to express through this story.
As for myself, I need to ask for leave from everyone.
After typing at such a high intensity for so long, my neck and wrists are definitely protesting, and I've been mentally on edge the whole time.
I actually have a vague idea for my next book, but I haven't completely figured out what it will be like yet.
(Note: I actually had the idea of writing a novel about Zone Zero. I wrote one before, but it failed because it wasn't very popular.)
Of course, you all know my situation. I've been too busy lately, and since I just got back, there's still a lot of story content I haven't finished. I can only sneak in some slacking off while I'm working. Anyway, once I'm done, I'll make another novel cover and post it in the group as soon as possible.
Please forgive me if the update schedule for the new book is a little slower at the beginning.
I need to completely clear my head for a few days, get some good sleep, go out for a walk, and let my body and mind relax.
Once I've rested and finished all the unfinished storylines, I'll come back with a new story to share with everyone.
Finally, with the happy ending of Luo Li and Castorice's story, I sincerely wish every reader who has read this far the best.
I hope that in your future lives, you will also find your own "answers".
I hope that while you are chasing the stars and the sea, you will also cherish the warmth and comfort of the lights that are within your reach.
Wishing everyone a happy family and a harmonious life, like Luo Li, possessing the power to protect and the peace of a place to belong.
See you in the next story!
(Going to rest now, everyone take care of yourselves! Also, please leave your comments so I can see you're here.)
