Castorice, could you really bear to watch your husband suffer from holding it in?
The transport plane's engines roared, piercing through the thin atmosphere filtered by layers of Blood-Erosion Clouds.
The atmosphere inside the cabin was somber. Most of the personnel who had completed their conscription or were being evacuated due to injuries closed their eyes to rest, their faces showing the weariness of leaving the battlefield and a hint of barely perceptible bewilderment.
Only Luo Li sat upright, one hand tightly gripping Castorice's slightly cool hand beside her, the other unconsciously stroking the cold hilt of the Bloodblade Enma.
His gaze, peering through the narrow porthole, fell upon the "Ironwall" fortress below, which seemed to shrink like a steel behemoth lying prostrate on the blood-red wasteland, his expression complex.
Three months of blood and fire tempering, life-and-death battles, getting to know Kong Yan'er and his lively brothers, witnessing the inhuman power of Commander-in-Chief Chen Zihan, and even awakening the [Spacetime Domain] and [Eyes of the Time Abyss]... All of this was etched into his life like a brand.
But when he looked away and saw Castorice nestled quietly beside him, all his chaotic thoughts settled down, leaving only an almost burning Homeward Heart Like an Arrow.
His Castorice.
His home.
Castorice seemed to sense his burning gaze, and turned her head slightly, her purple eyes questioning.
Luo Li didn't speak, but simply tightened his grip on her hand, a roguish yet expectant smile playing on his lips.
A blush crept onto Castorice's cheeks. She gave him a light glare, but didn't pull away. Instead, she subtly intertwined her fingers with his, their hands clasped together.
Everything is understood without words.
The transport plane's journey felt much longer than the one that had taken it there.
When the familiar outline of Jiangcheng, shrouded in Blood-Erosion Clouds but now imbued with a touch of human warmth, came into view, Luo Li could almost hear her heart pounding like a drum.
Landing, verification, departure from the airport.
Stepping onto the slightly damp but no longer gunpowder-scented land of Jiangcheng, and breathing in the relatively "fresh" air, Luo Li felt as if she had been transported to another world.
Without pausing, he flagged down an internal tram heading to the old town and took Castorice straight to their little nest in an old residential building.
Pushing open that familiar, slightly chipped security door, a familiar scent, carrying a hint of Castorice's cool fragrance and the smell of dust, wafted out.
The room was still small and simply furnished, with a thin layer of dust on the computer desk.
But at this moment, in Luo Li's eyes, this place was a million times warmer than the cold alloy walls of the "Ironwall" fortress.
"I'm home."
He put down his simple luggage, turned around, looked at Castorice standing at the door, who seemed a little dazed, and opened his arms.
Castorice looked at him, her purple eyes misting over, filled with nostalgia, peace of mind, and a sense of belonging that felt like the dust had settled.
She walked in softly, nestled into his open arms, buried her face in his chest, inhaled his familiar scent deeply, and mumbled, "Mmm, home."
The two embraced quietly, savoring the peace and warmth of having regained what they had lost.
Outside the window, the usual evening noise and faint alarm sounds of Jiangcheng could be heard, but at this moment, they all became background noise.
After a while, Luo Li chuckled softly, "Castorice, look, the dust has piled up so thick, we need to do a thorough cleaning."
Castorice lifted her head from his embrace, looked at the indeed dusty room, and nodded earnestly. "Okay."
Although they called it a spring cleaning, neither of them really had the energy to do any real work.
Luo Li casually vacuumed the floor and wiped the table, but her gaze kept drifting towards Castorice, who was clumsily making the bed.
(Note: In fact, if Luo Li were willing, he could easily reverse the Path and restore the sanitary conditions of the rental house to what they were three months ago. Of course, as for why he didn't do it, those who know, know.)
She took off the practical clothes she wore on the front lines and changed back into her soft, light purple loungewear. Her long, silvery-purple hair cascaded loosely over her shoulders, and as she bent over to make the bed, it accentuated her slender, graceful waistline...
Luo Li's Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily. He felt that certain thoughts he had forcibly suppressed for the past three months were like ferocious beasts breaking free of their cages, beginning to roar wildly.
He put down the rag he was holding, walked behind Castorice, reached out, and gently wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.
Castorice's body froze instantly, her movements of making the bed stopped, and her ears turned red rapidly at a visible speed.
"Castorice..."
Luo Li rested his chin on her thin shoulder, his hot breath spraying onto her sensitive earlobe, his voice hoarse beyond words.
"For three months on the front lines... I strictly adhered to base regulations and acted as a 'gentleman' for quite some time..."
He tightened his arms around her, pressing her soft back against his chest, feeling each other's hearts suddenly race.
"Now that we're home... the rules are gone..."
His lips almost touched her burning earlobe, filled with undisguised desire and a hint of aggrieved accusation:
"Castorice, can you really bear to watch your husband... suffocate like this?"
He emphasized the word "husband" with particular force, conveying a sense of self-righteous declaration and a hidden thrill.
Castorice's face turned completely red, and even her neck was tinged with an alluring pink.
He held her in his arms, and she could clearly feel his taut muscles and a certain undeniable change in him. Her whole body went limp, and she almost couldn't stand up.
"You... you're talking nonsense..." Her voice was weak and trembling with embarrassment, her small hands weakly pushing away his iron arm around her waist.
How could I have talked nonsense?
Luo Li chuckled softly, taking advantage of the situation to take her soft earlobe into his mouth, gently sucking and licking it, feeling her tremble for a moment and her breathing become more rapid.
"We've already... done that... If I'm not your husband, then who is? Hmm?"
His other hand also began to wander, slowly moving upwards along her soft waistline.
Castorice was so aroused by him that her body went limp, her purple eyes glistening with tears, her mind almost blank. She could only instinctively grab his mischievous hand, her voice trembling with sobs. "... You scoundrel... you... let me go first..."
"I won't let go."
Luo Li turned her around so she was facing him. Looking at her beautiful face, flushed with rosy cheeks and brimming with spring water, the fire in his heart burned even more fiercely.
He lowered his head, forehead to forehead, nose to nose, their breaths mingling, his tone carrying an undeniable domineering and intensely seductive quality.
"Castorice, I miss you..."
"I want to..." He took her hand and pressed it against his left chest, his strong, powerful heartbeat almost shattering her palm.
"I want to... here too..." His gaze burned as it fell on her slightly parted, delicate lips, as soft as flower petals.
Castorice felt her body burning with desire from his explicit words and gaze; her heart was pounding so fast it felt like it would burst out of her chest.
Three months of separation on the front lines, countless days and nights of worry and longing—all of this was now overwhelmed by his passionate advances, like a flood breaking through a dam, washing away all her shyness and resistance.
She closed her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling violently like butterfly wings, and in an almost inaudible voice, with a shameful sense of resignation, she whispered in response:
"... Go... go to bed..."
This sentence is like the most effective instruction!
A startling light flashed in Luo Li's eyes. He let out a low roar, unable to restrain himself any longer, and scooped Castorice up in his arms!
"Yes, my dear wife!"
He carried her and strode toward the newly made, slightly cramped single bed.
Castorice gasped, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck and burying her burning cheeks in his chest, letting him gently place her on the bed that still smelled of sunshine.
Luo Li leaned down, placing his hands on either side of her body, gazing deeply into her eyes, his gaze filled with long-suppressed desire and affection.
"This time... there are no base rules to bother us..."
He lowered his head, his kisses falling like dense raindrops on her forehead, eyes, and the tip of her nose, finally capturing her trembling lips once more.
Unlike the restrained, light kiss outside the fortress dormitory, this time it was a complete conquest, with a burning, domineering intensity that devoured everything.
Castorice responded awkwardly and clumsily, gradually succumbing to his forceful guidance.
Clothes, like shed butterfly wings, were scattered around the bed.
Outside the window, night fell on Jiangcheng, and the Blood-Erosion Clouds made the moonlight ambiguous and hazy.
The soundproofing in old residential buildings isn't very good; you can vaguely hear the sound of your neighbor's TV and a child crying.
But in this small space, only their rapid breathing, suppressed sobs, and the slight swaying of the bed intertwined to create a most primal and moving melody.
Luo Li seemed to want to completely release all the worries, longing, and lingering fears from the three months of separation through these repeated possessions and fusions.
Castorice, with all her gentleness and acceptance, embraced his eagerness and fervor, just as the River of Souls accepts all its tributaries.
After an unknown amount of time, the wind stopped and the rain ceased.
Luo Li lay on his side, holding Castorice's sweaty, pink body tightly in his arms, resting his chin on the top of her head, and sighed contentedly.
Castorice slumped in his arms, too lazy to even move her fingertips. Her purple eyes were half-closed, still shimmering with the lingering tide of passion. Her cheek was pressed against his sweaty chest, listening to his heartbeat, which was gradually calming but still strong.
An ambiguous atmosphere filled the air.
"Castorice..." Luo Li's voice was languid and hoarse afterward, his fingers unconsciously twirling a strand of her sweaty hair.
"Hmm?" Castorice's voice was weak, filled with deep weariness.
"We'll never be apart again, okay?" He hugged her even tighter, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones.
Castorice snuggled gently against him, finding a more comfortable position, and replied in an almost inaudible voice, "... Okay."
Having received an affirmative answer, Luo Li was satisfied, and a silly smile appeared on her lips.
But this guy, who had been "cooped up" for three months, was clearly not so easily satisfied.
After resting for a short while, Luo Li's hands started to wander again.
Castorice froze, grabbed his mischievous hand, raised her watery purple eyes, and glared at him with embarrassment and anger. "... You're doing this again?"
Seeing her pitiful state, as if she had been "bullied" so badly, Luo Li felt an even stronger urge to kiss her. He leaned over and stole a kiss on the lips, then brazenly complained, "That was compensation for the first three months! Now... it's an advance on the next three months!"
Castorice: "???"
Seeing her wide-eyed, adorable expression of disbelief, Luo Li couldn't resist any longer and chuckled as he kissed her again...
When Luo Li finally satiated and embraced the completely unconscious Castorice, the darkest light before dawn was already faintly visible outside the window.
He gazed at her peaceful sleeping face, her long eyelashes casting soft shadows beneath her eyelids, and a faint, contented smile playing on her lips.
My heart was filled with an indescribable, overflowing happiness.
(PS: I didn't have enough inspiration today, so I'll only be updating four chapters.)
I'm considering adding side stories later, which might make updating more efficient.
PS: Please comment and follow for updates. I have a free copy of the book "VR Power Generation," but I'm not really expecting it to have a rating anymore—I'd be happy if it earned me 300 yuan.
