Wang Dong comes from the Clear Sky Sect, where she holds the position of young master. Her upbringing leaves her knowledgeable and accustomed to comfortable living: she has never personally done household cleaning before entering Shrek Academy 21.

The two deputy sect masters responsible for her cannot persuade her to cultivate diligently. Instead, they encourage her to purchase treasures that increase Soul Power whenever she finds them. Although her sect is wealthy, the pocket money she has available at any given time is limited 22 26.

Personality

Wang Dong is proud of her talent and initially speaks to Nan Zhuliu with an air of superiority. When he challenges her attempt to impose dormitory rules, she threatens to beat him into compliance. His overwhelming dragon might immediately frightens her into backing down, showing that her bravado does not prevent her from recognizing a dangerous opponent 21.

She has a severe obsession with cleanliness and struggles to tolerate the dormitory. Her rules prohibit casually bringing visitors into the room and going naked inside it. She also takes care to sleep fully dressed against the possibility of Nan Zhuliu returning unexpectedly 21 22 25.

Despite her natural talent, Wang Dong prefers sleeping to cultivation and readily buys medicinal aids that can raise her Soul Power. She is also quick to protest unfair treatment: she objects to students being pushed into unwanted Soul Tool studies and angrily condemns the academy’s handling of the Sea God Lake incident. Arrival at Shrek Academy

Wang Dong moves into Nan Zhuliu’s dormitory and attempts to establish rules by force. After his dragon might overwhelms her, they settle on a week-long meal arrangement. A single dinner eventually costs her nearly two hundred gold soul coins, turning the agreement into an expensive regret 21 22.

Hoping to see him embarrassed, she attends Nan Zhuliu’s duel against Xu Sanshi. Instead, she watches him defeat Xu Sanshi with one slap without using his Martial Soul or a Soul Skill. Nan Zhuliu catches her afterward and reminds her that she still owes him dinner 24.

First-Year Class One

Wang Dong joins Zhou Yi’s class alongside Huo Lingtong, while Nan Zhuliu studies in Class Nine. She reports that Zhou Yi expelled nine students for failing to complete a hundred laps and warns that the teacher has a particularly high elimination rate 25 26.

When Nan Zhuliu explains how Zhou Yi may pressure Huo Lingtong into Soul Tool studies, Wang Dong objects to denying students a choice and worries that refusal could lead to expulsion 27.

Sea God Lake and the Tang Sect

Wang Dong accompanies Nan Zhuliu and Huo Lingtong to Sea God Lake, where Ma Xiaotao approaches in an evil-fire frenzy. Unable to escape in time, she witnesses Nan Zhuliu defeat the six-ring Soul Emperor with a single attack 28.

The arriving teachers distribute Soul Ascension Pills and threaten expulsion if the freshmen discuss the incident. Wang Dong protests their treatment, then becomes delighted by the pill’s value until Huo Lingtong reminds her that their survival depended on Nan Zhuliu 29.

Later, during a gathering celebrating Huo Lingtong’s cultivation progress, Wang Dong asks to join the Tang Sect after hearing Tang Ya explain its history. Tang Ya accepts her 29.
