Background / History

Divine Mechs allow humans to exceed their normal limits through divine radiation and begin evolving; earning the right to select one is therefore a major opportunity for reserve mech pilots 1. Each mech represents a distinct direction of human evolution, and the radiation received by its pilot produces different ability developments 16.

They are ancient bio-mechanical bodies built around a Divinity Core in the chest. Their internal and external structure is formed from high-quality divinity and incorporates a high-dimensional spacetime membrane, creating an internal divinity cycle and enabling self-repair 453. A sufficiently damaged but not completely shattered core can gradually repair the mech, though repeated losses of critical components may reduce its class and height 221.

The earliest Divine Mechs were weapons of war created by the Celestial Sovereign, modeled on his own body and initially piloted by his avatars and disciples. Golden Radiance Supreme refined their designs with spacetime imprints and divine patterns, while the manufacturing process came to incorporate a method of drawing upon the universe's origin 456. Lianming later stated that he helped create the first batch by imbuing mechanical bodies with life, establishing the biomechanical chassis that became the mainstream Divine Mech form 483.

Classification

Selection and Compatibility

Divine Mechs possess an artificial soul or intelligence capable of assessing a prospective pilot's compatibility. Candidates normally receive three activation attempts; three consecutive failures result in loss of the selection opportunity and elimination from the relevant round 16.

Compatibility is described as a matter of resonance or “fate,” rather than a purely physical qualification 16 17. The naming designation of a mech is also silently understood by a pilot after successful first activation, despite having no apparent language or informational source 208.

Later historical knowledge identifies the matching function as a legacy of Lianming's life-infusing methods. By recognizing a pilot's accumulated memories, a Divine Mech's artificial soul can be led to identify that person as compatible 483.

Capabilities

Divinity amplification

A Divine Mech connects a pilot to vast reserves of divinity, greatly magnifying the effectiveness of their traits and techniques. An ordinary evolver may threaten an opponent up to three major tiers higher while piloting a mech, though the benefit decreases for stronger pilots 471.

• Different sequences amplify different divine characteristics, such as gravity, lightning, space, fire, ice, wind, life, or destiny 220 251.
• Mechs may stimulate divinity for propulsion, protective shields, weapon enhancement, long-range techniques, and close-quarters combat 28 97.
• A mech's Divinity Core is the center of its operation and can sustain self-repair if not wholly destroyed 453 221.

Adaptive bio-mechanical body

Divine Mechs combine biological and mechanical qualities.

• Their bodies can be repaired over time through remaining core fragments, though serious damage can lead to class degradation and shrinking 221.
• At Demigod level, biological texture recedes and the mech's divine nature becomes more prominent 493.
• Some ancient units can become almost unnoticeable against their surroundings through advanced divinity application 35.

Divine Armor Transformation

Certain exceptional users can compress a Divine Mech into body-sized Divine Armor by manipulating its spacetime membrane and concentrated divine energy 456 457.

• The transformed armor grants several times the combat power of the full-sized mech in Li Yi's case 456.
• The technique was originally a hidden backdoor left by the Celestial Sovereign's lineage, allowing them to overpower conventional Divine Mech users 456.
• It consumes substantial divinity and depends on control over spacetime structures 457.
• Theoretically, armor transformations from different Divine Mech sequences can be stacked 457.
• Li Yi later merged Uranus and Pluto armor into the Netherheaven Divine Armor, assessed at roughly thirtyfold amplification 494.

• Celestial God Series — Includes the Pluto Mech; most surviving examples are A- or B-class, making D-class examples uncommon 31.
