Background

Lin Mo is living his third life. In his first, on Earth, a congenital heart defect left him frail, and he died before turning twenty. He subsequently transmigrated to the Pokémon world, where Charmander became a companion who shared life-and-death experiences with him 1 11.

He entered Douluo Continent as a blazing meteor and transformed into a newborn upon striking the ground. The chief of Soul Emperor Village found and adopted him, mistakenly believing that his parents had abandoned him. Lin Mo inherited the chief’s surname and received the name Mo, meaning “silence,” because he was quieter than other children 1.

At age three, he recovered his previous-life memories and began daily physical training. His immediate priority was to preserve his health; his ultimate cultivation goal became godhood and eternal life 1 3.

He is cautious, methodical, and protective of his secrets. He conceals his second Martial Soul, studies Soul Beasts before choosing rings, and avoids dangerous opportunities beyond his current strength. Even when considering immortal herbs and Soul Bones, he recognizes that pursuing them as a One-Ring Soul Master would be premature 4 7 21 26.

His reserve does not prevent generosity or gratitude. He shares village fruit with his roommates, treats them to a meal, and uses his abilities to help regulate his adoptive grandfather’s health. His interest in medicine includes a sincere wish to help people who would otherwise die without timely treatment 6 29 36 45.

He takes broken trust seriously, openly distancing himself from Tang San after the latter reveals Charmander’s hatching without permission. Despite his mature manner, Lin Mo admits that his long periods of illness across his previous lives left him with little experience making friends 20 47.
