Rule and Earlier Engagement

The Jade Phoenix Empress holds final authority over the Jade Phoenix Ancestral Realm, whose internal factions operate as a unified whole under her rule. Its eighteen Phoenix Envoys serve in positions comparable to elders, and even the weakest is an Ancestral God 318 327.

Before meeting Chen Fan, she had no disciples despite the many prodigies seeking her instruction. According to her niece Linghuang, an unnamed man had previously broken off an engagement with her 318 330.

Meeting Chen Fan

During the Gods Ranking gathering, she notices an unusual power associated with Chen Fan that produces wariness and faint suppression in her bloodline. She sends a Phoenix Envoy to investigate his origins, explicitly ordering that he not be harmed, and considers taking him as her disciple 317 318.

After identifying his third-ranked Ancestral Fire, the Cosmic Void Raging Flame, she becomes more interested in him. Chen Fan later visits her ancestral realm but refuses discipleship because he already has a master. They instead agree to a mutually beneficial arrangement: she will guide and protect him without becoming his master 324 329.

While teaching him to comprehend a domain, she discovers that his cultivation art and internal power are far beyond her expectations. When his power becomes unstable, her attempt to suppress it is repelled 331 332 333.

Their subsequent intimacy leads her to reveal a pregnancy and give Chen Fan ten years to meet her requirements. They initially conceal their relationship, describing their time together as sparring, while he secretly moves into her bedchamber to cultivate with her 334.

She takes Chen Fan, rather than her realm’s Dao Son Qin Xiao, to explore Lone Cosmos Star alongside the Lord of the Firmament and Yun Zheng. On its life side, she intends to obtain the Flower of Taboo to protect Chen Fan, explaining that it can provide God Emperor-level power and even revive him 348 349 350.

The Dragon-Subduing Demon Jiao reveals that a Heart of Creation could help her reach Half-Step Creation without taking the star’s Great Dao Crystal Core. Chen Fan arranges for the treasure to be retrieved and gives it to her as repayment for her kindness 355 358.

She begins refining the Heart of Creation, finding its restrictions and power unexpectedly manageable. War with the Firmament Ruins

After returning, she announces that the Jade Phoenix Ancestral Realm and the Firmament Ruins will fight until one side is destroyed, accusing the Lord of the Firmament of attempting to obstruct her breakthrough. Her Phoenix Envoys support the declaration 367.

She nevertheless delays the confrontation. She does not want to attack while he is vulnerable, and the possible involvement of the Star Domain Walkers and Void Heaven Ancient City complicates her position. She acknowledges that she remains weaker than the Void Heaven City Lord 371 398 400.

When she finally leads her forces to the Firmament Ruins, she challenges its lord openly rather than launching a surprise attack. His attempt to unsettle her by exposing her relationship with Chen Fan fails: she publicly states that she chose him willingly 410 412.

Her Ancestral Fire overpowers his Thousandfold Black Crow, and she refuses Xu Tianbaye’s request to abandon the dispute. Old Devil Chen intervenes on her side and brings Xu Tianbaye into the attack. The Lord of the Firmament falls, and she suppresses his Ancestral Lightning, though burning the Heart of Creation’s power leaves her with backlash 412 417 420.

News credits her with killing the Lord of the Firmament, alarming the other overlord factions and raising fears of a changed regional balance of power 423.

Public Marriage and Later Activities

During the confrontation with the Azure Cloud God Emperor, she explicitly identifies Chen Fan as her husband. Chen Fan confirms that they have long been Dao companions, while Xu Tianbaye addresses them as young master and young madam 434.

Her protection continues during Star Hegemony. When the Outer Chaos Land closes unexpectedly, she and Xu Tianbaye prepare to force their way inside to check on Chen Fan. After he returns, she embraces him and confirms that he is unharmed 423 454.

She later settles in the Eternal Realm. The narrative describes her as “officially” pregnant at this point, following the earlier pregnancy disclosure, and she invites Chen Fan’s other wives to visit her ancestral realm 462.
