History

Ancestral Legacy

The Chen Clan descends from Saint King Chenliu and preserves his complete cultivation inheritance. Its foundations developed over more than 100,000 years. The Ninth Ancestor credits Emperor Venerable Baihua with a debt so fundamental that, without her, their branch of the Chen Clan would not exist 150 178 685.

One of its most distinguished ancestors was Chen Kaihai, creator of One Star, Nine Luminaries and the clan’s only Divine Shore Realm powerhouse before Chen Qingyu’s rise. His handwritten cultivation notes were sealed in the Floating Heavenly Palace, accessible with the Ninth Ancestor’s permission 119.

The Attack on Divine Capital Changluo

Chen Zhengxing’s marriage to Ling Qiuxia, a princess of the Spirit Clan Royal Court, became the opening for a coordinated nonhuman conspiracy. The attackers infiltrated the Divine Capital during their daughter’s first-birthday banquet, targeting her Saint King Bloodline, the Myriad Stars Armillary Heaven Bell, and the clan’s share of the Supreme Void Eternal World Mirror’s authority. Human reinforcements were blocked outside the city 150 151.

The assault killed many clansmen, including Chen Zhengxing’s father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and brought the clan close to extinction. The Ninth Ancestor emerged from the Floating Heavenly Palace, killed seven mighty nonhuman attackers, and forced the survivors to retreat 151.

The aftermath shattered Zhengxing’s branch. He lost his titles and positions, erased traces of his former identity, and was assigned to guard the Great Yin Grotto. Surviving relatives were stripped of direct-line status and expelled from the Divine Capital. A settlement with the Spirit Clan Royal Court separated his children: Ling Shuangxue belonged to the royal court, while Chen Qingyu belonged to the Chen Clan 152.

Chen Qingyu’s Rise and Reconciliation

Chen Qingyu became the first direct-line descendant in nearly 3,000 years to display nine-star talent. After he reached the Aperture Opening Realm in one day, the Ninth Ancestor appointed him Dao Son, undertook his instruction, and promised to protect his cultivation path. His appointment also secured Chen Zhengxing’s pardon and release from grotto duty 4 5 260.

Qingyu later visited the expelled relatives in Central Capital Yangchuan on his father’s behalf. Their elder, Chen Yuanhe, rejected continued resentment and urged the survivors to restore their branch together. Qingyu intervened against their mistreatment, healed Chen Qingxu’s disfigurement, and agreed to investigate Chen Qingjie’s disappearance 310 315 317 320.

Continental Authority and Expansion

Emperor Yuan Palace’s attack on the Divine Capital was repelled after Chen Qingyu defeated Saint King Tianchen and nearly killed him. Qingyu and the Ninth Ancestor subsequently secured the Holy Land Alliance’s leadership, placing the clan at the center of the coalition 509 511.

After the alliance unified the Desolate Continent, its tribute system chiefly supported Chen Clan growth. By Qingyu’s later return, the clan had expanded its ranks of powerful cultivators and promising juniors. On Kunyu Continent, it eventually established itself as an arbiter between major factions, preventing armed conflict and issuing judgments respected and feared across the continent 551 685 816.

  • Early education: Chen Qingyu received cultivation instruction from age three, covering principles, taboos, basic techniques, and secret arts before formal cultivation began 2.

  • Taihao Limitless Ascension True Scripture: The clan’s supreme scripture, personally taught to Chen Qingyu by the Ninth Ancestor. Its ultimate limit is the peak of the Extreme Transformation Realm after nine ascensions of the Divine Treasure of Stars; further clan growth requires a stronger method 5 583.
