• Han Bingning became Ye Xuan’s master, and he opened 108 spiritual meridians, survived the resulting heavenly tribulation, and was chosen for a Holy Son investiture ceremony.

Ye Xuan killed Zhu Pi and his subordinates, then took the Holy Son title and defeated challengers from rival factions at the investiture ceremony. After facing a hundred cultivators and forcing most to retreat or die, he began his duel with Golden Core expert Huang Sha, whose strength had suppressed him.

• Ye Xuan killed Zhu Pi and defeated the city lord’s remaining Wheel Sea Realm subordinates, then Han Bingning carried him back to the Holy Land, where he cultivated and advanced.
• As the investiture ceremony approached, rival Holy Lands questioned Ye Xuan’s strength, while Huo Qingyi and a Carefree Holy Land elder encouraged challenges and plotted against him.
• Ye Xuan was invested as Holy Son and defeated Yuan Chong, Zhang Hao, and Song Yu before killing Lin Hai and Xiao Tian in battles to the death.
• When Huang Sha challenged him despite being at the Golden Core Realm, Ye Xuan pointed out their enormous gap in cultivation and challenged the Carefree Holy Land’s Meridian Opening and Essence Condensation disciples instead.
• Han Bingning agreed to the challenge on the condition that neither side retaliated for deaths, and Ye Xuan fought a hundred cultivators, killing many until the survivors fled or crippled their cultivation.

Ye Xuan survived an assassination attempt, broke through to the Wheel Sea Realm, and defeated Qi Yao and the remaining Holy Son candidates. He left the contest secured as Holy Son and turned his attention to the Carefree Holy Land and Ge Tian.

• After killing Huang Sha and becoming Holy Son, Ye Xuan gave Xiang'er Meridian Opening Pills for the maids, then rejected Qi Yao’s challenge until agreeing to fight him within a month.

The stretch ended with Zang Xingtian learning that more than fifty of his group had been killed by an attacker using the Lin Clan’s Blazing Flame Mad Saber.

• At Xuanyuan City, Ye Xuan defeated the Lin Clan guards who tried to block him, challenged Zhou Wushuang, and drew the Ninth Ancestor’s protection after Ge Tian attacked him.
