Upon hearing the chief's words, " Shepherd " Lovia immediately raised her question:
"Like those two ' Silver Knight ' at the main gate of the royal court, they won't actively attack targets outside their range?"
Colin Iliad nodded slightly and said:
"At least that's how it appears so far."
They were already close to the exit, but the guards outside did not react.
This means that the other party does not possess true Wisdom and Spirituality, and is likely just some kind of living thing.
Before the other team members could speak, " Demon Hunter " Colin continued:
"Huge, heavy..."
After obtaining the relevant intelligence, the people of City of Silver tacitly divided into groups. One group kept a distance from the exit but faced the gate directly, protected by Elder " Shepherd " Lovia, who served as bait to attract the guards. The other group received the corresponding holy oil from the chief and smeared it on the ground at the exit. Heim, holding the " Unshadowed Crucifix," and " Demon Hunter " Colin each took a position on one side of the gate, using the stone pillars to conceal themselves.
Then, Colin Iliad sheathed a straight sword, pulled out a small metal vial, and gulped down the liquid inside.
His presence quickly faded and became barely noticeable; without close inspection, his presence was virtually undetectable.
This is yet another arrangement, with Heim in the open and the " Demon Hunter " in the shadows.
After waiting for another ten seconds or so, " Shepherd " Lovia stretched out her right hand and grabbed at the air.
Her long, silver-gray hair turned a deep blue at that moment.
A howling wind swept through the air, and the gray-blue door slammed open behind it with a clang.
Immediately afterwards, heavy footsteps sounded, causing the entire hall to shake.
A " Giant " carrying a long halberd and covered in iron-colored armor then rushed into the hall.
Its exposed parts lacked any sense of flesh and blood, appearing to be made of metal, while behind the black mask shone a deep red light.
If it doesn't move, just standing there, it won't be any different from a statue.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
The shaking of the hall became more and more obvious. The Giant statue suddenly threw out the halberd in its hand, causing it to create a hurricane and rush towards Derrick and the others who were facing the door.
Bang!
The halberd struck an invisible barrier, and illusory ripples spread out rapidly.
Before " Shepherd " Lovia, a phantom figure clad in full silver armor appeared out of nowhere, its greatsword plunged into a crack in the floor.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
The Giant statue did not stop and rushed into the hall.
Just then, a screech came from its feet, and its massive body suddenly arched backward.
It stepped on the spot smeared with holy oil.
As the Giant statue slipped, a sudden burst of Red Light shone from its eyes, and an invisible force appeared, supporting it.
Suddenly, a blazing white light burst forth from the " Unshadowed Crucifix," striking the Giant statue's One-Eyed eye precisely.
The deep red color suddenly dimmed.
" The Demon Hunter " Colin leaped up, gripping the same straight sword with both hands in reverse, and stabbed downwards like an eagle swooping down on its prey.
Pieces of Dawn appeared, converging on the straight sword, making it appear enormous, even exceeding Colin Iliad's height.
With a soft thud, the gleaming straight sword pierced through the gap in the Giant statue's mask, penetrating its eye.
The surging Dawn then rushed in.
Colin Iliad tightened his grip on the hilt, drawing his straight sword as the Giant statue crashed to the ground, and leaped to the side.
The Giant statue lay at the entrance, cracking sounds emanating from its body, before finally falling silent.
" Demon Hunter " Colin didn't look at it again, turned to look outside the gate, and after a few seconds said:
"There are no other guards for now, so we can deal with this statue."
Derrick and the others quickly surrounded the Giant and skillfully began searching for materials on it.
Klein, who was above the Gray Fog, watched the entire battle unfold and was deeply impressed by the seamless teamwork of the City of Silver's people.
According to his observation, the Giant statue was made of some kind of metal and covered with incredibly strong armor, making it completely immune to most attacks in battle and extremely difficult to deal with.
Moreover, this Giant statue itself has no "spirit," meaning it is immune to extraordinary abilities in its respective fields, such as " Manipulation the Spirit Body Threads," " Hypnosis," " Frenzy," and " Nightmare." It is practically a walking fortress, making one suspect that it was originally the work of the " Goddess of Harvest."
Klein wondered how the battle would have turned out if he were in the same situation, with the core abilities of the " Bizarro Sorcerer " ineffective and only able to rely on the abilities of the two Marionette themselves to deal with the Giant statue.
The " Earl of the Fallen's" " Distortion " and "chaos" might have a miraculous effect, but it might not be as quick as the City of Silver exploration team's solution... A well-coordinated team of Beyonder can truly achieve a "1 plus 1 is greater than 2" effect. Hmm, the chief's grasp of timing and the decisiveness of his attacks are also key... Klein nodded slightly, inwardly expressing his admiration.
If this were truly a live stream, he probably wouldn't be able to resist giving a tip right now.
Of course, it's highly likely that it's just a thought.
After taking the most valuable items from the Giant statue, the City of Silver exploration team continued onward, following the outer corridor into another hall.
And so they traversed through palaces, towers, and corridors, trying to find more clues and the entrance to the "sea" described by the outsider Little Jack.
Whether they believed the little boy's words or not, they couldn't help but hope that behind the " Giant King's Court " lay a deep blue sea, and on the other side of that sea, a land where humans lived and thrived. There, Monster did not lurk in the darkness, the Sun rose and set normally, lightning only appeared before the rain, and people harvested all kinds of food.
During this process, the City of Silver exploration team did not encounter many enemies. Most of them were living statues, and a small number were Evil Spirit created by the combination of lingering emotions and Twilight power. The latter had almost no power to resist the Unshadowed Crucifix ".
"That's normal..." Klein, the " The Fool " above the Gray Fog, nodded slightly, accepting the current situation. "After the Giant King fell, this place already belonged to the Ancient The Sun God, so it's unlikely that a large number of powerful Giant and magical artifacts would remain... When the Angel King plotted here, they would definitely have eliminated unnecessary troubles beforehand... Once the Ancient The Sun God was devoured, it's unknown who this place will belong to, or it might have been abandoned..."
"In short, not many Demigod and items were foreseeable. Hmm, without the ' Unshadowed Crucifix,' those Evil Spirit would have been a huge problem. The City of Silver exploration team wouldn't have progressed so smoothly; they wouldn't have reached this point at all, unless an Angel led the team or a 'Level 0' Sealed Artifact was activated..."
When the " Unshadowed Crucifix " returned to Derrick's hands, the City of Silver exploration team was very close to the tallest building in the " Giant King's Court ".
The Twilight glow here is incredibly intense, seemingly emanating from that palace.
"Once we leave this hall, we should be on the side of the Giant King's residence," said Colin " Demon Hunter," pointing ahead after determining the location and direction.
Elder Lovia, the " Shepherd," nodded, a hint of barely suppressed hope finally appearing on her face.
Derrick's heart began to race, and he could no longer control his excitement. Then, he was " Placate " by Antillna.
After calming themselves down, the group from City of Silver entered the main hall and saw several oil paintings hanging on either side.
These "oil paintings" depict different Giant, some holding bone flutes, some carrying wind chimes, and some holding seven-stringed lyres that are large enough to match their own height.
As the City of Silver exploration team arrived, the Giant in the oil painting suddenly came to life. They played bone flutes, shook wind chimes, and strummed strings, creating a beautiful melody.
The Twilight light in the hall brightened slightly, and dishes of food appeared on the long tables around the hall, glistening with mouthwatering oil and emitting incredibly tempting aromas.
Roast chicken... roast goose... fish smeared with honey... Is this a banquet at the " Giant King's Court "? But aren't those chickens, geese, sheep, and fish a bit too big...? The masterpiece of the " Goddess of Harvest "? Klein glanced at it and confirmed that the food that appeared was all Illusion. After all, the " Giant King's Court " had long since run out of ingredients and lacked people who could Envisioning or create.
"This, this is normal food?" Heim, carrying " Roar of the Thunder God," stared blankly at one of the long tables, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
"Maybe." Derrick sniffed and couldn't help but swallow.
Aside from black-faced grass, they had never seen normal food. The meat of those Monster, though different in color when roasted, was equally unpalatable and could even cause poisoning.
" Demon Hunter " Colin stared for a few seconds, then sighed and said:
"They're all fake. Don't touch them, or something unexpected might happen."
The people of City of Silver, except for Lovia, reluctantly withdrew their gazes and followed the chief to the exit of the hall.
After a moment's examination, Colin Iliad plunged his twin swords into the ground and pushed open the heavy door.
A crack appeared, and an even richer Red Light shone in.
As the gap widened, a towering palace that seemed to pierce the clouds gradually came into view.
Then, the people of City of Silver heard a splashing sound.
At that moment, Colin drew a straight sword, suppressing the restlessness rising in the hearts of his team members.
He immediately drew another straight sword, walked slowly out of the hall, and Derrick and the others followed cautiously behind.
After being completely bathed in the Twilight, they both turned their gaze to the left, where there was a balustrade made of a row of stone pillars.
Beyond the railing, there was a pervasive orange-red mist, and beyond that, a gently surging, endless deep blue expanse, a deep blue that made a rustling sound.
No explanation was needed; the members of the City of Silver exploration team simultaneously recalled the records in the books and Little Jack's descriptions, and a term flashed through their minds:
"The sea".
